***January 2017 mummies!*** 3rd Trimester

The boys definitely have growth spurts and there were some times were they wouldn't take as much of their feed but ours were different as we had to feed every 3hr when they came home so had to wake even when they weren't hungry which was frustrating but tbh now when they have a growth spurt they get hungry early and start finishing bottles when increased

Has anyone been using the GroSnug? We've bought the cosy version today, what works best clothing wise with them? Room is sitting around 18 at the mo!

I've booked an appointment for next week for osteopathy review for Henry. I've noticed that he is tending to just lay and face to the left & ive read that sometimes a traumatic birth involving vontuse can misalign and some cranial osteopathy can help. I also read that it's really good for reflux & colic in some babies that don't settle or cry a lot x

Yes Bob had a bit of a growth spurt last week - very unsettled and constantly feeding!

Is that like a baby sleeping bag? We have a couple we put bobs in. He wears a vest, baby grow then the sleeping bag over the top, I try keep the room between 18-20 . Il try find a picture I have of what to put them in in what temperatures Sarah. Sounds positive, I hope it works?? xxxxx

What were your experiences with the blues girls? Just curious really.. i'm so happy and content 90% of the time but for some reason every evening around 5 I can feel myself getting stressed, agitated and crying over nothing! Just strange it's at the same time every evening.. I think it must just be when the tiredness sets in!

I was so happy for a good few days maybe nearly a week and thought I'd skipped them entirely haha.
Then a few days last week there was like 10% of the time I felt weird when my hormones started to change a lot. Would feel really snappy and down and cry and feel like she didnt like me etc. Has gone now though xxx

But none of you know me but are quick to judge with what she said. Call me crazy but at the time there where a court case and found these during court as we weren't allowed to discuss anything. Social services just don't take children unless they have too.
There are a lot involved with what happened but you just shouldn't judge. Yeah I was hurt due to being heavily pregnant when they did what they did. But that's by the by and I didn't have to look very hard.

I'm not sure what this is in reference too... but, I'm pretty sure the drama isn't needed. If you have a problem with someone message them privately and hash out whatever issues you're having.

For the time I have been here everyone has been very helpful and kind and supportive. With that said I'm sorry you are having issues with others, but please try and keep it out of the public comments/responses.

It doesn't do you any good and it doesn't do anyone else any good by continuing on about the issue. I definitely don't think anyone here is against you or (as harsh as this may sound) cares. I again am not trying to be rude or harsh but it would be appreciated to keep these kind of comments out of public responses.

I do however hope you figure out your issue and can continue to be a part of the forum in a positive manner.

Kate, what day are you on? My baby is 9 days old and the baby blues have definitely kicked in....maunly due to the feeling of guilt when it comes to my older 2 girls. They're 2 and 4 and the eldest started back at nursery today and is back to her normal cheery self. The 2 year old, who was fine last week, is now missing her older sister and just seems so sad. So that in itself breaks my heart. I also have this crazy irrational sadness that ill never be pregnant again. Then this last feeling leads me to feel ridiculous for just not appreciating everything I have because i know how damned lucky I am to have 3 healthy girls.
Anyway, I had very similar feelings after my other 2 were born and so long as I let myself just cry it out and talk to my husband they all went after 2-3 weeks. Just had to make sure they didnt develop into anything more deep rooted which I am also keeping an eye on now.
So my advice is to let it out, talk to your nearest and dearest and cry when you feel like crying. It's hormones and better to let it out than keep it in.xxx

Kate I was a blubbering mess for the first couple of weeks lol for no reason most times and then eventually got better ! Make sure you get help and rest when you can to have a break and a recharge x

Millie love her ha ha surely her neck wasn't too big?! I may do that then, take their vests off and just have the babygrow on, I'm so paranoid about overheating it stresses me out!

I'll let you know what the lady says at the appointment it may be worth looking into as well x

Kate I think I was blue for the first few weeks.... Only now really coming out to see the light. I still don't feel connected to bobs, even though I'm breast feeding, & doing all the things they tell you too! I think that's why my HV is still coming weekly.... She doesn't say it directly but her questions make me feel like she's concerned. Speak to someone if you feel you get worse. Remember it's all natural though.

Bloody hormones!

Yeah T.J. has definitely had a couple of growth spurts!

Thanks abi that's great :-) this is what it is, it's similar to the grobag just they aren't big enough for that yet so this is for before

http://gro.co.uk/product/gro-snug/

I like that one, I have one similar to that for T.J. now, it does seem to help settle him down some. He will sleep longer by himself now than before. :sleepy: Before, I was just laying him down in his regular little onesie and that's it. :dohh: No swattling no blanket and no pillow or anything. They said not to put any blankets or anything in with him but they didn't tell me about swattling or infant sleep blankets. I'm learning. :)

Yeah I did have a couple of down days too, but I just told myself it's the hormones and for me just knowing that made it better.

Yes I had what felt like baby blues for a couple of weeks or a bit longer. I cried a lot and felt really overwhelmed and lost. Feel much better now, as I am sure you will but if not then make sure you speak with someone. You're doing great to feel content 90% of the time so soon after birth!

FBTTN8079, we took the girls to a cranial osteopath the other day. She was very helpful and assessed all of their alignment, not just their heads and the problems that we'd brought them for (latch, wind, jaws). Just one appointment and she showed me stretches/massage to do with them and they quite enjoyed the appointment. She said I could bring them back if I wanted or just do the exercises at home. At 90 pounds per double appointment, I'll be doing it at home :D

Thing my blockages are finally clearing, although boobs and nips are feeling extremely sore and tender after lots of hard massage and pumping with too small flanges (I've got bigger ones now) and I'm investing in a hospital grade pump. Hopefully once the inflammation has gone down, we'll be back on track! xxx

That sounds good Laura, and at $90 per appointment, I don't blame you for doing it yourself! :)

I think it's $110 with the exchange rate! God the exchange rate is bad for us these days! I remember going to the States maybe 10 years ago and I'm sure it was close to $2 to the pound.

Millie ours are going to have to go back too lol just don't fit around their double chins ha ha

Hahah glad its not just Imogen! Bless them!
Imogen was only around 7lb 9 when I got her one lol they say up to 12lbs .. those babies must have very slim faces and necks lol!! Xx
