***January 2017 mummies!*** 3rd Trimester

Adorable Millie! Glad it was quick but don't like the sound of the tearing. :(

Yay for new places! We need to get our upstairs done now so they can have their own room. Hopefully after my appointment next week I can drive again and we can get about more.

Congrats Millie i'm so happy for you - what a cutie! Good luck with the house searching girls, exciting times :) I'm taking myself in for monitoring today as baby's gone quiet all of a sudden..i'm sure she's just chilling out but anxieties are creeping up on me and I know I won't be able to stop thinking about it xx

Congrats Millie! She's adorable! Yes I know it's a relief to have her here now. Now you can breathe a little easier. :)

Kate when is your appointment? It's always good to get that reassurance, i'm sure everything will be absolutely fine but you're right to get checked out. Let us know how it goes.

I'm just jigging two baby chairs with my feet, while pumping and trying to eat lunch (and typing on here) before I need to rush off for another viewing. Feels a bit mad! The first place was quite good, but not sure the second bedroom will fit two cotbeds and I was put off by the chippy next door as OH will be living on chips day and night if I put that temptation there! xx

Just sat waiting now, did the most measly pee sample, hope they're able to test it!

We used to live opposite a BP/M&S garage and the amount of Percy Pigs we ate got out of control.. probably a good idea avoiding the chippie! xx

Hope all is ok! :)

I always did teeny ones as I went so often lol but they were usually fine :)

Thanks guys :) They're really happy with the trace but I only felt her 3 times during monitoring which is way less than usual so due to my gestation i'm back in tomorrow to be safe.. not sure why the monkey's going quiet on me now! xxx

Glad to hear trace was OK Kate. Very good idea to go in tomorrow too - better to be vigilant and make sure she's all OK. She's probably saving her energy for her big (and hopefully imminent!) arrival!

This pregnancy business really isn't for the faint-hearted is it? I managed to slip and fall on black ice this morning on the way to my midwife appointment and arrived in floods of tears. Then spent three hours at the hospital being monitored. Luckily bubs is OK- apparently they're very well cushioned in there - but was a massive shock and I still feel a bit shaken :-( I'm going to have an almighty bruise in the morning and don't think it's going to help my sciatica limp...

Ohh thumbs :( what a horrid thing to happen, hope you're feeling a bit better now. Take care of yourself, that must have been a shock.

Kate, glad to hear that everything was ok and that you're being seen tomorrow too!

I loved the third property that I looked at today. Going back tomorrow with OH, hoping he likes it as much as I do. The ground floor is fairly open plan, which I think will be good with the munchkins. Upstairs has two very good sized bedrooms, which is what we need really as we need to fit cotbed in our room plus two cotbeds later on down the line in the second room. There is also a really nice roll top free standing bath/shower which is a bonus! xx

Oh my goodness ladies I'm sooooo worn out! Help! LOL T.J. is getting more demanding. He wants to feed all the time now. Wew!

Oh no Kate and Holdingthumbs hope everything is okay with your little ones!

Glad all was ok Kate. Reduced movements are so worrying! It was such a relief to have Imogen out!

Holding thumbs that sounds so horrid and scary! Glad baby is ok. My mum did something similar when she was heavily pregnant and my sis was fine :).
Definitely not for the faint hearted lol.
It is SO true what my friend told me about it being easier when she is here than pregnancy. All those people I had tell me that pregnancy insomnia was her getting me prepared and how they're such hard work so make the most of pregnancy. I feel so much better not being pregnant it's insane! Only now am I realising what a toll it actually takes on your body!

I hope babies don't keep you waiting much longer Kate and holdingthumbs. As much as I feel so much better now and relieved she is safe I also miss rubbing my bump and her movements when she did move lol. Feel quite emotional about her not being just all mine inside me anymore if I think about it too much haha! Xx

Oh Thumbs you poor thing :( That sounds terrible! Hope you're ok and not in too much pain? Hope baby is ok too.. how did that growth scan go in the end?

My baby behaved on monitoring today so i'm much happier :) Movements are returning to normal so back to waiting and wishing for me!

Hooe all the Mummies are getting some sleep! xx

Can anyone give any advice
Really struggling to sleep feel like I'm constantly worrying about everything and just want some sleep!
She was 4 week early so having to feed her every 3 hours but I struggle to switch off in between so I can sleep
Any tips

Bless you Bethany, I know exactly how you feel - I had so much trouble sleeping when Anna was born which felt ridiculous because I was so sleep deprived! First of all, don't panic - I felt a bit like I was never going to sleep again but I did, and so will you. Try not to focus too much on falling asleep but just think of it as laying and resting, and if you don't manage to sleep, it's ok. A couple of things that helped me were white noise/rain noise on my phone and also matching my breathing with my peacefully sleeping OH...

It's horrible, I know, but it will pass soon, I promise you.

For those who went into labour naturally, did you notice period cramps in the lead up? Got the most horrid lower tummy pains today :( Mist probably wishful thinking and just madam engaging again as she'd popped back out at monitoring this morning.. ooh it hurts :( No plug loss or anything yet though..

Bethany I never slept during the day, I've never been able to anyway unless I am really ill.. Like Sprout said try not to focus on having to sleep as that'll increase your frustration and anxiety, instead just focus on rest and relaxation and if you happen to fall asleep then brill :) Poppy also fed every 2-3 hours so get that it's hard to switch off when you're always clock watching! You'll be fine sweet, maybe ask your midwife if it's safe to take a herbal supplement like Nytol? Warm milk/horlicks always makes me sleepy too x

Owch thumbs are you ok ???? Sounds nasty!

Glad all went well Kate :) I had period cramps/ contractions for a week leading up to his birth xxxxxx

Thanks everyone. Baby seems to be moving around as normal today so I'm resssured that they're OK, but I'm feeling pretty sore :-( Also weirdly emotional - I keep feeling sad and low and lonely just sitting around waiting for something to happen, and then really guilty that I'm not making the most of the last of my pregnancy, and that I'll regret it. Did anyone else have this? Wonder if it's my hormones gearing up for something? I keep bursting into tears for no reason.

Last growth scan was fine Kate, but bump was measuring small again yesterday so I've been referred for a fourth. Sigh. Midwife not sure whether they'll follow up at this stage though, so just not going to worry about it.

Sounds promising on the pains front, Kate! I've literally had no symptoms apart from the weird emotions. Trying to get my head around the fact that it'll probably be a while.

I did Kate! It all started like stomach cramps and upset stomach and period like cramps. I felt nauseas and it got stronger and stronger. So I started timing them because I knew I had to wait till they were 5 minutes apart for 1 hour. I didn't want to go there to get sent back home again, but this time I almost waited too late! So the contrations got stronger and stronger till I couldn't take it anymore and they finally came 5 minutes apart. So I called the doc and he said go in. Then just as I was talking to him my waters broke and I was like this is really it! So me and my honey bunny got in the car to drive to the hospital and I felt pressure and a need to push! I told him to drive faster. Thank goodness the hospital was 5 minutes away! So when we got in another contraction came and I told her the baby is coming I feel like I need to push. So they put me in the room and by the time she got a chance to check me, she could see the top of T.J.'s hair! She told me to go ahead and push. Oh my goodness it hurt soooo bad but I pushed and finally he came out! :) It happened so fast I didn't even have time for an epidural or anything wew! Then I was just worn out and we stayed at the hospital for a day to make sure everything was fine. T.J. was real good and was a 9 on the scale from 1 to 10. So I was happy. He weighed 7lbs6oz. He was perfect and has a strong set of lungs he was crying so loud. LOL He latched on pretty quickly thank goodness for that. And here we are! :D Now he wants to feed all the time, but that's good that he has a good appetite. :)

Omg the pain when milk comes in lol!
I haven't been able to get her to latch still. Tried expressing and she screamed for her usual formula feed afterwards. Debating sticking to formula as trying breastfeeding is stressful for us both..she gets so frustrated when she can't latch properly.
Means though my boobs are so hard and full and sore and can't express now as itl make me produce more lol! Ouch.

Awww yours sounds quick like mine papermoon. :).

I couldnt believe the sudden intensity of the drip! All worth it to be induced for her here safe though! Xx

Yup, I was shocked! I think it was either really fast, or the time when I thought it was practice labor was real labor but I just didn't know it. I felt what I thought was the false alarm contractions for like 8 hours like the ones I had before when I went to the hospital and they had said that it wasn't time, so I thought it was a false alarm again like that one till it got more painful. Once it got more painful and 5 minutes apart it went really fast! :)
