Crapping it :-? I am excited but I keep forgetting these will be our babies so it'll be us they want - I keep having visions of constantly screaming babies that we can't settle. I'm getting to the point where I just want them out and home now though despite being terrified. I'm sure once they're here I'll wonder why I spent so much time worrying about it!

I need to remember the same - our baby will be soothed by us the most. I'm so nervous about not being able to stop them crying or not knowing what is wrong (if something is wrong). I think I'm all nerves whereas OH is all excitement!

Yip, my hubby is the same!! He can't wait for them to arrive whereas I'm getting more anxious the closer it gets! I need to chill though as they will sense my feelings. Easier said than done!!

Hello all, I'm thread hopping here. You may not remember but I was with you all for a short time in January mummies but sadly mc'd at 6 and a half weeks. Well, I've just had my 12 week scan for my rainbow baby, due on May 7th which we are thrilled about and obviously very relieved. I've been keeping an eye on you all and really hope that this trimester goes well for you, especially all the twin mummies (just one in my tummy thankfully!).

I am delighted to read this. Congratulations on your rainbow baby xx

How are we all doing ladies?! I'm having a lazy day today after a wee spell in hospital last night. All fine but they certainly made us worry. I might be terrified about having twins but last night made me realise how much they mean to me already.

Hope all is okay x

I'm starting to lag now. It's bloody hard work being pregnant. I'm starting to get sore hips when sleeping so forever tossing through the night. I'm still getting enough sleep tho. What's really starting to get to me is that I can't lift or carry Olly, it's a struggle getting him in and out the car and into bed over his safety rail, poor baby doesn't understand. And for getting him in a trolley, well that's impossible now. My little bean weighs 2 stone 8lb !!!

What happened hoping?
Xx

Reduced movements - twin 2 was very quiet on Tuesday evening when he's usually kicking away like mad. Still felt him moving but not as much as usual. Had antenatal class yesterday so mentioned it to midwife and she said to go up to hospital. Was up there for 3.5 hours on monitor then had scan - all fine. I think my braxton hicks are coming much more frequently though as the midwife asked if I could feel the tightenings that were showing on the monitor (which I could) so it was good to confirm they are actually tightenings and not babies moving as I was never 100% sure.

I've been battered today so they're clearly fine. Got an appointment to go back to hospital tomorrow on monitor again but they said if movements return to normal just to ring and cancel so don't think I'll be going.

The midwives and doctors were amazing and it's really put my mind at rest about being in hospital once the twins are here - I absolutely hate hospitals but doesn't feel like you're actually in hospital on the maternity ward so I'm feeling much more relaxed about the whole thing now. Especially if I have a section and have to stay in a few nights.

Crikey, the ignorance of some people astounds me! I commented on a post on another forum saying snowsuits shouldn't be used with car seats as the lady had posted saying what she'd packed for the hospital. She said the hospital wouldn't let her leave without putting her last baby in one so she was taking it anyway and if she didn't need it then fine. I said it wasn't a case of needing it or not - it's not safe because the straps aren't tight enough and I only wanted to make her aware so her baby was safe. I told her you can get special blankets that fit in the car seat or a footmuff or even just a normal blanket. Someone else then came on and said they had a thin snowsuit packed (does a thing even exist?) And the original lady said she was glad someone agreed with her because she didn't want her baby getting cold  seriously?! Your baby being warm is more important than them being safe if you were in an accident?

I've actually had to come off it before I post something I might regret!

Glad all ok hoping. That's insane I saw it recently on fb again so how they haven't seen it before puzzles me. I need a nice thick blanket for the hospital and car journeys

It's crazy - the fact she just brushed it off because someone else agreed with her. I would have to go Google/research if someone told me something I didn't know about something as important as child safety, not just brush it off because I don't want my baby getting cold! I picked up a couple in the matalan sale and mil and sil have knitted/crocheted us loads but don't think they'll be thick enough over just a sleepsuit/cardi for in the car. Be fine for in the house or carrycot where they've got more layers. I did buy a couple of cheap universal car seat footmuffs but haven't tried them out on the seats yet.

Im not sure what to use tbh might hace to do a bit of research
