**********january 2016 mummies**********

Some kind of steam thing before you got to bed to clear your sinuses? Not sure whether Vick is allowed or if there's something similar you could put in it. I always dose up on hot blackcurrant, vit c and things. Hope you feel better soon

I have no idea about jabs or gtt tests or anything :/ feel like I'm very clueless about everything and not really getting any info. Got my 28 week appt tomorrow but found out at baby class on Monday the midwives have changed around and it'll be someone I don't know :( not massively thrilled about that.
Massively stressed about everything at the moment and then panicking I'm going to make baby Ill because of it. Hopefully after my exams next week I can start to chill and start sorting baby things :(

Please add me to this group, I'm team blue due on 18th January.

Haven't posted before but love reading what's going on in all your posts.

We have recently moved house and my 4 year old has started school so life has been busy. Now settling back into a routine so have time to enjoy this pregnancy, it's flying by!

Don't worry, just ask about the flu and whooping cough jag. I didn't know either it was the midwife that said to me yesterday, I thought she was giving me it then and there and I put my arm out when she was standing with a tape measure to measure my legs for those dodgy stockings :)

I'm awfully sore at the top of my stomach and had a rash there last night. Consultant just said everything is stretching that has never been stretched before including my skin, day on the couch for me i'm gubbed x

I've added you Glr1234!

Well, I ended up taking the day off of work. I hate doing that because it makes me feel nervous having time off (does anyone else get that feeling?!) but my cold was joined by a headache and a cough that left me choking this morning. Had a good long sleep this afternoon and feeling a bit more alive. Going to have to work tomorrow regardless of how I feel though, as I just can't afford the time off money wise!

I wouldn't worry about the tests Beanie5 - My midwife never mentions anything to me, I ask before she gets a chance haha! You only have to do the diabetes GTT test if you have a history of diabetes in your family or if like me, you have a high BMI! It's meant to be done by 28 or 29 weeks latest I think. Whooping Cough is optional but most people opt for it (I will be) and she hasn't discussed that with me yet, but I know she will be next week at our 28 week appointment as I asked about it at our last one at 24 weeks and she just said 'we'll discuss that next time, it's not time for that yet'. The flu jab again, I asked her about it. My GP was booked up for 6 weeks when I asked then a friend suggested I go to Boots for it and I managed to get an appointment for two days later! Quick, easy and painless.

My midwife hasn't actually given me a whole lot of info, I always happen to ask things first. I'd recommend downloading some baby pregnancy apps if you don't feel as if you are getting enough information, and checking out Netmums too as they have a lot of info on what happens during what stage of your pregnancy and when you should have what done, thinking about doing x etc etc! Also the Mothercare website has an information section that is full to the brim with info on everything you could imagine!

Lols are you keeping moisturised? I use a stretch mark oil from Weleda on my tummy, bum, hips and bust, followed by either a body lotion or butter. It won't completely relieve the itching but will help because the softer your skin is, the less it stresses when being stretched. I apply morning and night!

Off to hunt down some Lucozade Original now for my GTT test tomorrow.

I'm starting to get cold couldn't settle last night, I was so bugged up in bed.
My tummy just above my belly button is so itchy - skin must be stretching

Xx

Hey ladies. I've blinked and missed the last couple of weeks and suddenly find myself in tri 3 with baby 3. Been keeping well, still quite a neat wee bump though definitely feeling tired this time around. Heartburn has hit with a vengeance this last week or two as well. Anyway, due date 10th January and can't wait. Not organised for Christmas or anything else yet but can't wait to meet my bubba. Still team yellow and not even remotely tempted to find out at 31 week scan either. Hope you are all enjoying it.

Gemma.

Hi yes I. Applying my bio oil, have been for months. My skin was more sore than itchy where the rash was but it's gone now, today I think I have a little foot lodged in my ribs. I can tell the difference in the feelings or soreness now.

I'm sneaking over here since you ladies the same week as me are already here :D

Anyone else getting slower and slower.... I feel like I can't keep up with life!

I feel very lucky - still doing all normal things and going about life at the usual pace. I even did 2 hours of housework this morning then went for a food shop. The only time I really need to slow down is when we're out with the dogs but hubs leaves me at home now except at weekends.

I'm sure it'll hit at some point though. Hubs keeps giving me in trouble for doing things but I feel fine and am still able so don't see any harm. I'd rather stay active while I still can.

I'm still doing all that I normally do. Working housework ect, but do find myself getting slower. I'm unable to judge my belly, keep knocking over things and hit it with the iron last weekend (ouch).
My neighbour is due 2 weeks before me, and up to this week we walked 5 miles 3 times per week. We are struggling now with that so scaled it back to 2 miles. And started prenatal yoga on a sat.
I am gonna go down fighting!!!

I'm just finding myself lacking in energy and being slower to get things done. In my head I feel wide awake and I want to do things I normally do. But my body just doesn't have the energy!

Although that said, it might be influenced by the fact I'm only just getting over a 10 day cold. I can't wait to be able to take medicine again! Honey and lemon water has done nothing for me the past couple of weeks...

28 weeks on Tuesday and off to our next midwife appointment. Really excited to hear baby's heartbeat again :)

I'm officially allowed in here now

How's everyone feeling? 10 weeks to go maximum! Getting very real now! Next Friday can't come quick enough to finish work - I really can't be bothered with people now and am sick of the same person commenting on my bump. She was off last week so just knew it was coming this morning. All I got was "Oh lordy lord". Oh piss off!!

I finish next Friday too....i CANNOT WAIT
Taking 4 weeks holidays before my mat leave starts.

We haven't anything prepared for his arrival yet, so it gives me time to do all that. I had preterm labour with my eldest from 30 weeks, so need to be prepared just in case.

Ordered some mat PJ's online today (Productive at work) so that's the start of the hospital bag!

Me either, I'm unbelievably excited and just wish it was here. I'm beyond grumpy today too - just want to go home and sit on the sofa lol I'll be fine as soon as I leave here though!

I finished packing my hospital bag on Saturday, the twins' bags have been packed for a couple of weeks now. The nursery is so so close to being finished - just got the furniture to move about and put in the last bits and bobs which hubs says we're doing this weekend. All clothes etc. washed just got nappies to do when I'm on mat leave. Hopefully this means I can chill out on mat leave

Oh you're so organised, my "nursery" is still a junk room, but he won't be in his own room for a few months after his arrival, so not rushing into that. Figured if he is born now he won't be coming home with me for a wee while yet, so will do my bag 1st, then his.

Im starting my Mat leave by meeting a friend for an overnight Spa break. That's what is keeping me going in work these days!

I'm not sure I'd be this organised if it was just one but we want everything sorted as I imagine we'll not have much time once they arrive! Oh that sounds amazing! I've not got anything to look forward to so far but hoping to meet up with friends etc - I think I'll go crazy if I'm stuck in the house for 8 weeks!

I made my to do list (also at work today)
Having two older boys I've plenty of organising to do like the hotness and kitchen....places they just fire stuff into and close the door.
Also going to introduce them to the washing machine....this will be fun
