***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Hope it goes well buzz. I was going to say my contractions never seemed very regular. This labour they were more intense and frequent than the last but after three or four regular ones i'd get a long gap. They would slow down if I lay down or had a shower or all sorts of things but the longer the gap the stronger it would be when it came back.

We'll I am the biggest chicken sh*t ever !
Went hospital this evening as baby's movements felt lazy/soft for him! Traced and everything perfect but as baby is very big on charts they wanted to induce me there and then... And for all my moaning and begging him to hurry up, I said no!!!! Hahaha I absolutely panicked! But I am for one more growth scan tomorrow
Morning and I am being induced Tuesday morning 7am! 4 days earlier than the planned induction !
Very nervous and very excited but still seems like forever away hahaha. I'll have to get my whole life sorted tomorrow !! Xxx

Still very intense. Consistently over a minute but interval is now 6 or 7 minutes. Not sure what to make of that. Not sure what to do now either!

Wow keep going Buzz defo sounds like it's it!!

Nothing for me to report!!x

Get on your birth ball if you're still wide awake buzz, and if you feel like you could sleep go to bed and get a rest if you can. Xx

Keep your energy up buzz. Rest and have something carby.

I never got beyond every 6 mins so if it persists overnight and contractions don't get closer together then give hosp a call anyway. I was 5cm when I went in. Exhausted and dehydrated as well though.

YG. You are a not a chicken you just had something thrown at you and I'd have decided exactly the same. I think having a day or so to get organised is a good idea.

X

Thanks all. Averaging about 8 minutes now. Hope its not slowing up. Useful to know that your never got closer carnat. I'm going to go and try and rest. Not sure I could sleep through these!

Thank you Carnat hahaha it's so funny though I thought
Id of jumped at the chance! Excited and nervous now for Tuesday morning but at least I have time
To get my head round it all now. And
Somewhat prepare myself, but more importantly the house hahahaha !!

Aww buzz I hope this is a quick night for you! I am so excited for you xxxxxx

Same here with my first labour. Sometimes i'd have a couple closer but they never got regular and close. I still had some 8 min gaps when it got to pushing. I agree with trying to drink and rest if you can.

Sadly not. I've had no sleep but have tried to rest. Still having regular contractions (currently about 6 mins apart and about 90 seconds) which are getting increasingly painful. Triage weren't interested in me coming in. Struggling now. Feel so sick (have thrown up once already) that I am struggling to drink let alone eat. Not sure how much longer I can keep this up with it going nowhere. We're at 24 hours now.

Keep bouncing hun and try keep moving even though you feel like poo.
Don't know if you've ever seen them, but the wee lucozade dextrose tablets are really good for keeping your energy up without you having to eat much - maybe your OH could go get you some. Xx

Not chicken at all Yellow...it's nice to have some time to prepare mentally for induction I think.

Sounds pretty hard going Buzz...hope everything ramps up a gear again as I imagine it's very tiring. Keep bouncing if you can, or walk up and down the stairs a few times if it's not too difficult.

Sounds miserable buzz. I second energy sweets, or sucking a boiled sweet (which I also find helps with nausea) to get some sugar into you. If you really can't cope call triage again, if you're not managing they will need to see you. Good luck x

Sounds exactly like I felt buzz. Early labour is the worst. Keep going though sweetie.

Id really recommend trying to get some energy sweets down you hun. Or even some actual lucozade. Also some toast. That is what they made me eat when I finally went in.

Also ring them back if you are really struggling. I did this for 36 hours and it was horrendous. They only told me to come in when my waters went. Not sure how long they'd have left me otherwise?

X

Any news Buzz? My first labour lasted 38hrs but I got there in the end. I threw up a lot. I ate and drank early on but couldnt face much once it got going more, just small sips of water and herb tea with honey. Icecubes were good too. just remember that you are making progress even if you dont feel like it and the more intense it gets the more progress you are making.

Oh buzz I hope things are moving on a bit now, that sounds exhausting!

I can't stop nesting.......... even had ds hoovering earlier, all the nooks and crannies!
