***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Congratulations Ceecee and Jolly! Lovely news 😊

I had planned to catch up with all the goings on this afternoon but neep has had other ideas! So I'm just popping on quickly to let you know that after a very busy and long day shopping (6.30 wake up and at shops for 8 am start) getting all the stuff for my hospital bag n beyond my waters broke when I got home just before 5! Neep is skipping the queue am afraid ladies! And there was me hoping s/he would wait til Feb lol! Nothing much more has happened since so I'm going to go for a lie down and wait it out ☺ x

Oh my word how exciting!! Try and keep us updated, hope it all goes well!! xx

Eeek Janet, good luck. 12th Jan is definitely a mad day for babies! I'm starting to think the full moon must have been today and not last week!

How exciting Janet. Yep def get some rest and keep us updated if you can.

We've had a few early babies so we're due some late ones as well? Bet I go well overdue lol

X

Congratulations ceecee and jolly!!!

Good luck Janet, hope things get moving for you

I cant believe its a week until my c section, mixed bag of nerves and excitement. Can't wait to hold my little one for the first time though.

Looking forward to hearing about more babies arriving....

I'm month jumping here guys, but Janet, have you phoned your labour ward? I was at my antenatal class today and MW said that we should phone labour ward to go up the hospital and get checked out after our waters have gone, because there is an increased risk of infection after our waters have gone. xx

Thanks for your lovely words ladies. It was really terrifying walking into theatre knowing what was ahead of me, but I'm up and about and pain has been much better than my crash section with my son.

She fed from booby a lot this morning but has now been very quiet since about 5pm- apparently this is normal?!! She's also v mucousy from the c section so has been sicking that up.

I'm going to take advantage of the sleepy stage and get some sleep finally!!!!

Congrats ceecee!!! There definitely was something about 12th jan :-)

And damitjanet best of luck for tonight. Hope something happens quickly for you!!! X

Congrats Jolly she is beautiful xx enjoyable rest xx

Good luck Janet hope things move nice and quickly for you now xxx

Getting internal examinations also increases the risk of infection and you tend to be put on the clock for induction if things don't kick off on their own so some women rather wait longer to go in. If you do stay at home and wait it is a good idea to monitor your temperature several times a day. If you get a rise in temperature its important to go in and get antibiotics.

When my mums waters broke she had all 4 of us within the hour so she has me we'll told that I'm to go straight to the hospital hahaha. God roll on xxx

My waters have just gone!!! Panic setting in right now xx pains are close together now too xx

Good luck to all those going into labour, how exciting :) I will be trying to keep an eye out for updated :)
Also congratulations to all the new mummy's, it's so nice to have the finally here isn't it.
Brody is still keeping me busy busy, so never get much chance to post, but keeping an eye out for all of your exciting news :) can't believe how the time is flying, that's him now a month old. He is putting on weight well and is now 8.5lbs so are happy after his initial weight loss that he is now thriving :) and he is certainly always hungry, that's another night feed just finished haha.
Anyways just thinking of you all and hope everybody is well! Xxx

Oh wow TS. I guess baby probably here now? Hope all went well.

Glad little (well he is not so little now) Brody is doing well.

Hope Mollie fed a bit better Jolly? Although yep they can be quite mucusy after sections - James was really bad actually - may have been another factor in feeding.

X

Nat I think you and I will be here til the bitter end!! All these sprom are quite unusual are they not? Or maybe just all I know is induction? :/

I reckon a February baby for me LOL!

Actually I don't mind, the later the better.

Managed to avoid induction but I did end up having an augmented labour (ended up on the drip from 6-10cm as it all stopped for me)

So excited for all these babies. I did "ask" for some babies and look what happened.

Still need to hear from Ronnie and Lottie and Janet and TS. There could be 4 more of them by now

X

Oh my goodness things really are starting to move now for people!! How exciting!!!

Mollie fed once during the night, and slept the rest so I was only up for an hour, but my nips are crazy sore!! Already can see us swapping to bottle at home but c'est la vie x

My pregnancy ball is being delivered between 9 and 10.
I am praying for some results ASAP !!!!! Xxx

Jolly I can sympathise with you, Brody had been having a lot of trouble latching so have been expressing as well as trying to feed from the breast, and holy my nips are raw.
He finally got so much better and was managing to feed more from me, but then unfortunay we got thrush, so a conbination of his mouth being sore and my boobs, we have been using expressed milk in bottles for the last week and a half. And have lately been struggling pumping enough due to him being increasingly hungry, so having to start giving one bottle of formula a day too. So have been toying with the idea of going to complealtly formula as he gets so stressed and upset when I try him on the breast. We managed a month on just breast milk, and I feel a slight guilt to want to go to complealtly bottle, due to midwifes and some family. Has anybody else experienced this?? I just feel surly if he and I are happier it's for the best? Sorry to moan about things, it's just sometimes nice to get other mummy's opinions, who have been through similar. Xxx

Eek TS, looking forward to update once baby is here.

Hope you're sat bouncing now yellow lol.

Kiwi, I think as long as Brody is fed and happy, then go with what works for both of you. I struggled to feed my son and we gave up after 12 days as my milk never came in properly. He's thrived on formula and is a healthy happy chap. Happy mum usually means happy baby. I'm trying breast again this time but if it doesn't work then I'll go into formula and be done with it with no pressure or guilt xx

Hi ladies ☺ It's all starting to happen on here eh?! Good luck to everyone who's in labour and the new mummies too.

I don't have much to update you on unfort 😕 I called the mw back at 10pm as told and she said to go in to be examined. Went in and got back out just before 1 am. No contractions or anything else to indicate that neep is planning on making an entrance lol. I've been booked in for induction tomorrow at 12; think the mw read my birth plan as she mentioned me not wanting to be induced (confused me for a while how she knew lol!) and has given me the latest time possible I think, in the chance things happen naturally.

Since then I've had a rubbish night of barely any sleep and just trying to rest, dh went and bought 2 pineapples and I've already eaten 1 of them! I'm going to try my birth ball too.

Hope everyone is doing well, whatever situation you're in! x
