***** January 2015 Mummy's *****

Jan
Glad you can breath better, and that baby is looking much the same, I always find it reasureing when it's not getting worse :)

Ts sorry to hear of your tumble, hope alls well.

Xxx

All is ok now thankfully plenty movements again :) xx When is everyones next scans :)

Jan - 3 litres blimey - and I wont even ask how they did it, sounds grim! But at least you are feeling a bit better.

TS, sorry about your fall - glad all is OK. I am dreading it getting icy and still being preggers. Hope you poorly wee man is better soon.

I've had a busy day already! Was at new place for 8am and we now have a fridge and a cooker and the Virgin man has been for the pre-install survery.

James and I have been out "puddle jumping" in the rain. Poor little sod hasn't been out much lately so we put on our rain coats and wellies and went out for a walk - it was so much fun. I had forgotten how nice it is to be out in the rain (when you are dressed for it of course)

Got carpets tomorrow and then on Friday it's my little bub's 2nd Birthday. All his pressies are wrapped and cake is sorted. Normally my SIL bakes the cake but she is away so I've had to go for shop bought . I would have attempted to make one but with everything else it's just not feasible.

I am bloody tired though. Am waiting for James to nap so I can pack some more but I might have a nap with him.

Ts sorry you had a fall! I hope you're ok. God I forgot it's going to be wintery weather when we're heavily pregnant!

Carnat how lovely to see your home coming together but I know that's stressful too so I'm glad to hear you were out jumping in muddy puddles! Good luck with James' birthday

Kiwi that's so true- a scan is always good if you're not given worse news than before! Let's hope we both continue in that way!

Lots of love to you all x

I'm fine now just a bit on the dry muddy side now !! Glad James is feeling better Nat xx Yay to muddy puddles!! Tyler is much better today he's with my SIL being spoiled :) I've Tyler's party booked its scary he's almost 2 !! Where has the time gone!!

Love catching up on a few days of news all at once!

I am starting to realise how quick time is going - we are getting the nursery walls skimmed over next Weds so then can start to decorate!
Started to think about what I need for hospital and bought a nighty last weekend - not a nighty person so its just like a big t-shirt really but I didn't think about it needing to be button opening for feeding?!! I think I will probably wear it for labour then change after!
Hard to pre-empt size of baby too for first babygrows as I've not had a scan since 20 weeks but measured bang on for weeks with midwife so far. I don't want baby to look swamped in something way too big!
So exciting!!!

Gosh Jan that is a lot!! :-( sorry too about your fall TS- scary stuff but I'm glad bubs is wriggling around :-)))

Nat you're going to have a busy week!!! Glad everything's starting to come together.

I have midwife today and a growth scan next Tuesday. Can't wait to see bubs and know she's ok.

I'm still off work poorly. I'm on my last day if anti b's and my chest still hasn't cleared up. I don't really want to take anymore so I'm not sure what to do.

On a brighter note I'm starting to get organised with the nursery- I posted a plea for help in preg chat earlier but this is what I've come up with (for boy and a girl) since then...

I just need a changing mat to match as we're going to bring the "little circus" mat downstairs and get a new one for upstairs.

Sorry for the waffle!!! I'm not very good at interior design!!

Oh wow Jolly, I love your theme!

We aren't doing a nursery as baby will be in with us and then in with James, so we're just going neutral in the kids room but I was def thinking of some stencils and stuff to brighten it all up.

We have dark wood furniture so I need to get thinking cap on - there is no hurry of course.

Sorry to hear you are still poorly, if you need another course of anti-bios though you should take them? They won't give you anything harmful to bub.

I took 3 lots when I was preggers with James [albeit spaced out a bit] as I kept getting gum infections. I'd only taken them 3 times in my life before then

Meant to say I don't have a scan now until 38w. That is just a standard growth scan offered to everyone as well. It's meant to be around 36w but with Xmas and New Year this in the only time they can squeeze me in

Cannot even begin to think about packing my hospital bags yet, I need to unpack our life first LOL.

Love the nursery stuff jolly. Nice colors. We never did a nursery. We do have a room that was supposed to be for LO but it has ended up as more of a storage room. The rest of the flat is fairly small so we needed somewhere to keep extra stuff and she still sleeps in our room anyway. There is an attic space above us we are planning to convert so we will eventually have another room and more storage space but its going to take a while until its done.

3 litres Jan...blimey! Glad it's helped relieve some space though, must have felt very uncomfy.

Eek for your fall TS, but yay for bubs moving lots. I'm also dreading icier mornings :(

Jolly, I love your nursery theme :) Sorry you're still feeling unwell though.

Nat, are you having a party for James or just doing cake and pressies as home? My little man was 1 a few weeks ago and it's scary how fast time flies by.

Katy, I'm with you on the worry about baby grow sizes. My son measured bang on for my weeks all the way through, so I bought normal newborn, but he arrived 3 weeks early and was only 6lb 2oz. Everything seemed to swamp him. I've gone for newborn stuff again, but have some 0-3 ready too just in case little lady is on time or late and a lot bigger.

As for me...work emailed me earlier to say I am not allowed to carry my remaining annual leave over so I have to take it or lose it. Just arranged to not work the next 4 Wednesdays, and will have a half day on my last day (19th Dec). That means I only have 12 1/2 working days left until I finish, split over the next 5 weeks. Can't bloody wait now as I am starting to feel very tired working and running around after a 1 year old (he's not walking yet either, just cruising and crawling).

Happy belated Birthday to your little one Ceecee.

We're just having a low key day, pressies and cake and packing. Maybe more puddle jumping as I think it's meant to be wet.

It's also OH's Birthday the same day (yep I had James an hour into OH's Birthday)

I have a week off now but then I still have something crazy like 30 working days left.

To be honest though work is slightly more relaxing than looking after a toddler. I am probably better off to work as long as possible, at least I can do that job sitting on my bum

James has finally nodded off, I swear he knows when I want him to nap.

Now should I pack or clean the toilet / bathroom ???? Decisions, decisions

Ahh ceecee I keep forgetting your youngest is just one- Freddie started walking at 13months and I definitely found it easier than the crawling. I have to admit I hated the crawling stage for some reason??

Nat does James have a suit he wears outside to jump in puddles? I need to get something for him now we have a garden- it's been so soggy but in don't want to keep him couped up.

I'm back in the assessment unit again after my liver function tests have gone haywire again :-( there was me thinking I was all better

This time round though we've prepared as we know it can be a long visit waiting about - have sausage rolls, chocolate and mini cheddars (and phone chargers) :-)

Sorry to whinge, I know it could be worse, just didn't think we'd be back here again ;-) x

Oh no what a shame :-( I hope you're not waiting too long x

Aw sorry to hear that hun xx hope you are not too long  xx

Oh Chicken, sorry to hear that. Hope you don't have to wait too long.

Jolly, I don't mind the crawling stage (he doesn't whinge as much as when he could only roll lol) but walking properly will definitely make it easier again. Fingers crossed he'll have cracked it before the baby arrives, but if he doesn't then we'll just have to roll with it until he does.

Enjoy your week off Nat...I'm guessing it won't be an overly relaxing week if you are still in the middle of moving house though!!

Scans? Eek, nothing's been said to me about having another scan - not a word. I didn't realise there were going to be any more. Unless they do it differently here in Northern Ireland.

I have my 31 week appointment this Friday so maybe I'll have one then. Hopefully they actually know what I'm there for this time.... I turned up to a hospital appointment (with the letter they sent me asking me to come) 2 Fridays ago, to get my Anti D injection, and I was met with blank looks as they weren't expecting me and they didn't have the injection ready for me, so sent me packing.... Organised!!!

I finally got the injection 2 days later.

Quick question, I noticed someone posted about their baby measuring 2 weeks ahead of due date, what does that mean? Does it mean baby has just grown quicker than anticipated, or does it mean the initial 12 week dating scan wasn't accurate?

Jolly what a lovely theme! I love the colours!

Oh no chicken dinner! That sounds crappy bless you! What do they think is the problem? I hope you're ok x

Sunflower, I think measurements can be skewed throughout pregnancy.. I was measuring 4/5 weeks ahead but that was just fundal height due to excess waters but I have heard that baby can actually measure ahead or behind and it just means bigger/smaller baby but in rare cases it can be a problem for baby. I find it all so bloody confusing! I do know measurements of baby's organs can be very important and can indicate serious issues.. As it stands I'm 30 weeks but they keep putting 'gestational age' as a few days earlier.. V annoying!

I plan to eat and chill tonight - kids are down and I've warned my hubby the tv is mine tonight lol!

All these birthday party plans makes me want kids party food!

Chicken - hope everything is ok x

Jolly - love the owls xx

sunflower - I think most people only get 2 scans by default, but I guess some lucky people have a few more from their particular hospitals! My 31-week appointment was just the same as the one I had at 26 weeks/16 weeks, except I got bump measured this time too.

My bump is feeling heavy today - anyone else getting this?
