***Jan & Feb Mummy and Baby***

Carnat-thank you that's really kind of you. And good to hear of positive stories.. Like with everything with your kids you always fear the worst!
The NHS haven't even mentioned the possibility of it (in fact after 5 appointments over the last year, we've no had no mention of any diagnosis- so disappointing). But the private speech therapist came up with this after 1.5 hours with him. He's such a happy boy I just want life to be as easy as possible for him, and for him not to struggle.

Thank you ladies for the comments on my boys- I think they're pretty cute too, though as mummy in biased! Xx

Got a mountain of unpacking and washing to do today- but the sun is shining and that's a good start. And Finley slept from 10-5.30, had a quick feed and is still down now.

Nat- feel your pain with babies and colds. Fin's just got rid of his third cold- he has no chance of avoiding them with Harry being around!

Hey Nat, yep I have and he loves it he's finishing 9 oz bottles every time so decided to give him one feed a day see does that help fill him a bit :) we have another communion to go to today so just getting them ready it's at 12 xx

Hi girls,

Everyone seems to be doing well which is great! Gabriella is doing well too...still tiny tho. About 8lbs 4oz!

We're going away next month for a few weeks and I'm really trying to ebf but have given her the odd bottle. Will be easier to bf as no bottles etc. we'll see!

Older two break up from school in 5 weeks...for 12 weeks. Help!

Gabriella is still weeny?

Bee was 10lb something when I had her weighed last @ 8 weeks. I am seeing HV on Tues so we'll get her weighed again then... I used to take James every month to be weighed and I've been so crap with Bee. I can tell by holding her (and her clothes) that she is growing nicely though.

12 week summer holiday!!!!!! Jeez!!!!

I am tired just imagining it (although I have both of mine every single day LOL)

Lovely weather here today so we've been park and had an al fresco lunch. Now just trying to get some chores done.

I seem to have caught the cold doing the rounds as I have a sore throat and a snotty nose. Boo hoo.

It's my Birthday in a month and we're planning a night out just OH and I. We wont go far but I want to get Bee to try and take a bottle [I'll express]. I feel bad though, she doesn't like bottles so is it a bit selfish to force her to have bottles so I can have an evening out and few - very well deserved - glasses of wine

X

I don't think that's selfish at all nat, it's just you being responsible. People are totally entitled to celebrate and have a few glasses of wine so why not :-)

We've reduced feeds to 4 a day and she's now having 8oz, which is still.the same over a 24 hr period. I'm not totally sure she's 100% happy with the 4hr routine yet so it's more like 3.5hr.

Gabriella really is teeny!I thibk mollie must be over 14lb now, she feels like such a lump!!! I'll see if I can add a recent piccie :-)

I had Freya weighed this week. She was 14lb 14oz so almost coming up to double her birthweight. She's stayed bang in her centile line which is good as I'm still BF and always worry my milk isn't good enough. She's a pain for clothes sizes though as she's in 3-6 and it's fine in arms and legs but feeling tight around the bum/nappy area. Might have to think about moving up a size soon and just rolling up the arms for a bit.

Jolly what a fab pic xx

Not that we plan on using it yet.

Lovely pics x

I've actually had some more sleep! Sunday night Gabriella went 12.30-6.30 and last night 1.30-8!!!
I go to bed really late so her starting time was same as mine. Lovely!

Officially three months tomorrow...can't believe it!

Did any of you ladies who's LOs had tounge tie cut get shown exersises to do with LO after? We finally saw a breastfeeding consultant and she cut Tomas' lip tie. She also did the toungue just incase although she wasnt convinced it was causing a problem. His feeding still isnt perfect but it has really improved so I'm glad we did it even though he is 4 months now. We are supposed to be going to a follow up appointment with a speach therapist to train his upper lip muscles but thats going to be another couple of weeks at least so I was hoping I could find some instructions online to make a start with.

Sorry Bunny, no experience of tongue tie here.

Last jabs done and had Bee weighed at baby clinic, she is 12lb 10oz and 9th centile (25th at birth and every other weigh-in) but no concerns. We spoke about her sickness and even had GP check her over to make sure. Bee was amazing - especially as this was Immediately after her jabs - she was smiling and cooing at HV and GP lol.

Got told off for co-sleeping though.

Glad all is well Nat.
Why did you get told off for co sleeping?

I've got to sort jabs out...will have to have them a week early as going to uk for a bit they're done differently here. Ah well!

x

Bunny we weren't given many at all, one was just running a clean finger over the area to make sure it kept free and didn't grow back. The other was to poke our tongue out to try and get mollie to poke her tongue out. She still hasn't copied me to this day!!

She does still click when she's feeding but it's sorted the fact she couldn't latch onto any bottle- I never stood a chance with breastfeeding!!!

How are you getting on now it's been cut? Seeing much improvement? It did take a good few weeks to really see a big difference x
