***Jan & Feb Mummy and Baby***

Aww Toni hope your little man is better soon. It must be awful when they get ill at this age!

Jessica wont settle herself at all. I tried again last night and thought we were getting somewhere because after 15mins of fussing she seemed to drift off but only lasted a couple of mins before she woke up crying. I picked her up and she had an almighty burp so guessing that was stopping her sleeping. She had a bit more food then little cuddle after where she fell asleep x

Toni, my LO also had gastrointeritis a couple weeks back and indeed, it's a matter of waiting till it clears up. IT's great that your LO settles by himself to sleep. This is something I'm struggling with with Rio.

MrsJohnson, like yours, my baby still needs rocking / cuddling to sleep, although I'm now trying to stop that and hoping he gradually falls to sleep in the cot, without rocking. It's hard, and I'm afraid he'll get used to being rocked and depend on it. I'm also finding that he struggles to sleep when we're out unless I'm carrying him on the wrap. He will not fall asleep in his pushchair (he used to when he was 1-2 months old).

Tinsel - it's a relief to see that other mums are in the same situation with regards to the regular wakings / feeds at night. You also EBF, right? And how old is your LO? I am also very jealous of those babies who sleep 6+ hours, and those who get themselves to sleep easily.

When you put Rio on his belly, he typically lasts 3-4 minutes before getting all grumpy. Saying that, last night he was really struggling to stay asleep after 5 AM, he was kicking his legs and shaking his head in his cot, half asleep. I laid him on his belly in bed next to me, and he slept right away, for about an hour, before waking all upset cos his face was down.... sigh!

I think we've just been very lucky. Alfie is so chilled out and is quite independent. He doesn't like to be cuddled much during the day and in the evenings he gets too hot if he's cuddled for long and gets irritated, I think this has helped with the Self settling because he's happier when he's put down and he has naturally learnt to settle on his own. It's strange, he feels very in dependant like he doesn't need his mummy :( I know I'm being silly as he's only 10 weeks old lol!

Just popping in to say I hello and I have SO much to catch up on!!! Will be back when I've caught up xxx

Phew caught up!!! Glad all babies are doing well and gaining weight. Mollie was 12lb 5oz 3 weeks ago (she's almost 16 weeks now). She's mostly in 0-3 but we've found that she's really grumpy when she wears any leggings (i guess because of her reflux?) so I'm also putting her in 3-6 clothes and they're not horrendously big- I'm in love with little denim dresses and dungarees! !

Her reflux looked like it was getting better so we tried a feed without gaviscon on Wednesday but it was just awful and she was so sick so we went straight back onto it. That was Wednesday and she's been sick with her feeds ever since :-( I'm gutted because since she hit 12 weeks she was so content so I really feel like we've taken a step backwards.

She sleeping wonderfully. She not has the same routine as her 2yr old brother and goes to bed at 7.30 and won't wake up for 12 hours (apart from a few dummy runs). She's still in our bedroom and I just love her being in here!

I'm the same as you T'S and omg, I'm already thinking about another baby despite promising I would never go down that road again because my pregnancy was just hideous! But I'm broody already :-/ I don't think hubby is keen but I know I want another. I got my first period 2 weeks ago and it was just awful, it was so awful I was soaking through a tampon and a pad!!! I usually have lovely light and short periods so this really was horrendous!

I'm also due my smear- I had my last check 3 years ago this may after having surgery for removal of abnormal cells so having had two children since that I'm absolutely pooing my pants :-(

Anyway, mollie's wonderful and she has the most beautiful smile, given how uncomfortable her first few weeks were with the tongue tie and reflux I can't believe how happy and gurgly she is (most of the time! )

I'm going to try and keep up to date a bit more, I've missed hearing about all the bubbas! X

Aw, Mollie is gorgeous Jolly. I have tried to put a photo of Florence on but it keeps redirecting the photo to a blank page. Very frustrating! x

She's gorgeous Jolly. My son had reflux but his was silent so it was just acid burning his throat instead of being sick. It was awful and we spent the first 6 months keeping him upright to stop it being so bad. We also found gaviscon was crap but ranitidine and donperidone worked well.

Thankfully he grew out of it at 9 months and stopped all meds x

Aw Toni I really hope the gastroenteritis clears up soon xx

Hi Jolly xx Mollie is an absolute beauty xx I mentioned #3 to OH last night and I was shocked to hear he didn't turn the idea down just a we will wait a little bit and get the boys up and running around together first lol xx

Oisín is almost stretching out his 3-6 stuff at almost 16 weeks old x people have thought he's 6 months and I'm like to he's 3 and a half months!! Gonna be a monster when he moves onto solids :D

I had to copy and paste the photo rather than attach as it wouldn't let me either :-)

Both my sisters are pregnant and I really didn't think I'd find myself being envious of them!! Obviously we wouldn't plan another one for a couple of years but I just don't feel like we will stop at two

I can't attach photos...keeps saying they're too big!

Our days differ so much. Sometimes it seems like she's constantly attached to the boob and other days I feel like I haven't seen her!

I almost cracked yesterday and gave formula, but we had bank hol here so no shops were open. I'm pleased though as she actually ended up being pretty good. I just worried that she's hungry. And she's still so tiny! Haven't had her weighed since her jabs, but she was almost 9 weeks and just over 8lbs.

She still has a bit of a cold too, which makes feeding very noisy,

Jolly - babies make yiu broody, don't they?! I have calmed down a but with my broodiness. My surgeon said I have to wait a year and I don't reckon I'll be up for it then, lol.

How's tummy time going? We haven't done much yet, but will start.

Anyone got plans for long weekend?

xx

Hey ladies,

I look in everyday but often don't have time to post.

Had my smear Thursday (it was done so quickly and I didn't feel a thing!!) and was back to Dr yesterday as my skin is in a right state - turns out I have Psoriasis??? So I am on all sorts of lotions and potions.

Bee doesn't mind tummy time if she is on my lap but she hates it on the floor.

We've had some wonderful moments recently, Bee let out her first proper laugh yesterday. However she is still being sick more than I would expect after almost every feed. I've seen GP and HV who say she is just a sicky baby?? My gut instinct is that she is fine but it's all new to me. And man the amount of laundry she produces is a nightmare [and I love doing laundry!!!]

We are now co-sleeping and she wakes up a few times a night so I am still having very broken sleep as well. James slept through from 9-10 weeks so this is again all new to me.

Off to a family BBQ later and I am going to have a wine spritzer. Been dying for a drink for ages.... not sure this will hit the spot LOL.

Not feeling at all broody. Said to OH even if we won the lottery I think my baby making days are done. I am getting on though - 35 next month - not sure my poor body could take another pregnancy. I have a new niece or nephew due in a few weeks so I'll get my quota of baby cuddles.

Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.

X

Unexpected-hi :-)

Nat-must be weird having a totally different baby! I remember my second being fairly diff from first and this one seems in between, but none were sicky, phew!

We had such a good day today. Met up with friends to play and it was sl warm, when we got in I convinced oh we needed to gk out for a walk which turned in to dinner. They missed off most of our meal from bill which was a bonus! Got about 75€ worth of food and drink for nothing!

I wish we could have more nights like last night. 5.5 hours of Gabriella in own bed. Right now she's attached to boob. I would like my bed to myself for a bit!

It's mothers day here tomorrow so we off for lunch on the beach. And yes, I did celebrate uk mothers day too-why not?!

I've had a couple of nights where Tomas only woke up for one feed in the night which is totally amazing . I feel almost human again :). He is so much better a sleeper than DD who was still waking 3/4 times a night at almost a year old. I think different babys are so different when it comes to sleeping and eating patterns some babies are just bad sleepers. He is very dependent on me settling him though. He will let me put him down if I am right there with him but screams his head off if I step away, or even start looking at something else.

I feel I should do more tummy time with him but it is a bit tricky with a hyper toddler around. I can't just lay him on the floor any time. It also tends to make him sick up. He was born super strong though, lol. He could hold his head up the first time I put him on his tummy at 4 days old and has been able to roll from his front to back for about a month now.

We definitely need to do more tummy time but it's been a bit tricky because of her reflux.

I told hubby I was broody today for baby no.3 and he agreed we should make more babies!! And that's after having a truly hideous day!

Yaaaayyyy!!!!!

Ooh, Jolly! How exciting!

Anyone up to much this bank hol?

x

No plans here. Going to pop to the park and pick up some supplies for dinner.

Was in bed 9pm-8am with Bee. Had a few feeds in the night but its the best night we've ever had..... more of the same would be nice.

We need a bigger bed though so we're going to have to look into a king size if we're going to continue co sleeping. OH has been on sofa.

A good night makes a massive difference, doesn't it?! I could do with a few!

We may wander out for some lunch in a bit...starving!
Trying to stick to diet, relaxed it a bit at weekend so back on it today. It's so hard!
