***Jan & Feb Mummy and Baby***

MrsT that's so brilliant! Dexter has done amazingly and like you said so so resilient! Here's to the start of your tumour free lives together!
Carnat I feel for you, days when they're that unsettled are really hard.
I hope it's just the leap and will settle down in a couple of days. It's not trapped wind or anything is it?

Fantastic news Mrs T :)

Nat, Freya was like that around 8 weeks for a few days too, it was tough going. Thankfully it did pass, although felt like it would last forever at the time, and it's exhausting on top of no sleep and managing a toddler too. Hope she settles again soon xx

MrsT, I was hoping for a good outcome for your LO and I couldn't begin to imagine how hard this must have been for you, the parents. So it's fantastic news all round! So glad for you and Dexter. Now time to give him all the cuddles in the world! :-)

So glas your home MrsT!

Charlie is still in some tiny baby and newborn stuff.
His 0-3 month stuff is still wat to big for him yet, and the growth spurt has finished (thank god) i recon hes grown 1/2 cm if that lol!

Is anyone else still in pain down there like 7 weeks after giving birth?
I cant even imagine doing anything with the OH as im in too much pain to even think about it xx

Hi ladies may I join you? My little man was born on feb 17th xx

Glad to hear that things went well Mrs T, very pleased for you :-)

Carnat, all that fussing sounds very draining for you, I hope Bee gets through it soon xx

Nici, sorry to hear you're still in pain :-(

Congrats& welcome Rhondalou :-)

My baby (11 weeks) amazed me yesterday by trying to sit up at every opportunity, and can go from 45 degree reclining to sitting bolt upright repeatedly, and just now went from me holding him horizontally to sitting on his changing mat. His core muscles put me to shame! I am surprised by his progress, (especially as he's only in the bottom 1 percentile for size) but think that his over-athleticism (he does a half hour leg kicking workout several times a day and has been using my fat tummy as a springboard to push himself upwards with his feet) is going to be hard to manage in a few months time when he goes mobile! I need to start getting fit to be able to keep up with him :O

Our little girl was like that. She had problems putting on weight (because of allergies) so was under the 3rd percentile too. Doctors said small babies are often more athletic because they have less weight to move around. I think all the kicking and moving she did also used up a lot of calories, lol.

Tomas is moving into 3-6 month clothes now! He is quite slim but super long.

So glad MrsT!

Congrats RhondaLou :-)

I am in pain again :-( got better but now it's like week 2 again! Not impressed. So, taking it really easy, or trying to!
My mum goes home in a week so slightly concerned, but it's school Hols for 2 weeks so at least there's no time restrictions with school runs etc!

Just had our 6-8w check. Bee is now a lovely 10lb 9oz. Also we had jabs scheduled for tomorrow but they had a cancellation so all done and I didn't have time to stress about them beforehand lol.

Bee was in a right tizzy though and was screaming so much before the jabs you couldn't tell the difference once she'd had them.

Saw HV for general check, then the GP, then the nurse so it was about an hour all in. James was an angel. Bee was a monster.

Glad Bee is doing well xx and jabs are all done xx hope she gets over the crying very soon xx

Oisin is in 3-6 month clothes can't wait to see what weight he is at our 3 month check xx

Oh crikey!!! Caleb had his check 2 weeks ago and he was 11lb 13oz then, dread to think what he is now...I knew I had a fatty!! x

Awww bless Caleb. He was bigger at birth wasn't he? So sounds about right. Bee has actually gone up to 50th centile. She was 25th at birth. She has also grown 7cm.

Had an amazing sleep. 11-6am with a quick feed about 3.30. Both kids still asleep now!!! It's glorious and sunny here so we are off to the park a bit later and then meeting a friend and her boy (a bit older than James) for lunch.

True he was 8lb15 at birth...Caleb's grown 6cm as well-he's in 98th percentile for length/height!

I'm still waiting for my amazing sleep! Caleb generally does a 4/5 hour stretch going down anywhere between 9:30 and 11 but then after that feed he's constantly grunting/straining so I can never get back to sleep! Been reading on all these other forums mums whose 8 week old how's to bed at 7/8 (how?!) and sleeps through! Can't imagine that ever being us at the moment!

Lovely up here too, only plans today was to meet a friend in town this afternoon who had a little girl a few weeks before me so think we'll go for a walk this morning as well to make the most of it.

Lost almost 2lbs this week (weds to weds)-almost worth the chocolate deprivation I've gone through! x

Morning ladies. I finally have a spare minute my little man is demanding so much attention today I don't know where it's cone from lol. I've noticed over the past couple of days he has been awake longer in the morning and evening and sleeping longer over the middle part of the day. Then yesterday all he did was eat sleep and want cuddles I couldn't put him down he wanted to be held while he slept. He slept amazingly well last night waking up once for a bottle at 2:30 then slept from 4am until 6:30. This morning he had half hour nap from 7:30 to 8 and the rest of the time he has just wanted to play with me. Not play on his own, not even while I had a wee, he wanted to play with me. I csn see us having a very active little man before much longer. My mum has taken him for a couple of hours so I can do some cleaning. Gone are the days I can tidy up while he is sleeping lol.

On the plus side I got some lovely smiles this morning he has been smiling away to my silly songs bless him. He is 5 weeks old now and has all of a sudden gone from a newborn baby who sleeps all the time to a little terror who craves attention lol xx

I might be generalising but I think ff babies tend to have longer sleeps.

I moved James fully to formula at about 8 weeks (expressed from day 3, started combi feeding from 6 weeks) and within days he was going down 11-6 with no waking.

The benefits of breast feeding are so well documented but no-one tells you the downsides and one of them is babies tend to take longer to 'sleep through'... I'm not knocking the nice sleep I had last night though!!!

2lbs is amazing. Although you always looked so slim and svelte in your bump shots. I can't imagine you'll take too long to get back in shape.

I've given up for the time being. Had such a crappy few days with Bee I needed some cake!!!!

I didn't check what centile Bee is for height. Will see if they plotted it in her book.
