*******February mummies 2015*******

Oh so I've been getting period type pains on and off, is that a sign that labour is coming? I'm only 35+4 so would really like baby to hang on in there for a few more weeks yet, esp as still breech.

I've also bought Ewan, read so many rave reviews about him on here a few months back so I also have high expectations.

Xxx

Are they at regular times cosmo? If not then they'll be braxton hicks, suppose it is a way of your body preparing.

Would you say movements from baby get less, the further you are? I know we get kicks & arms etc rather than summersalts cause of lack of space, but do they ever reduce in movements as such?

Not sure whether i'm to phone the midwife, hhmm! Shes lovely but my god do I feel like i'm a nag at times!

Xx

Cosmo, are you getting tightenings too? Where your bump goes really hard?
I hope in a way it's not the start of something just because you're not fully cooked yet and that it's just braxton hicks!

Pip, my baby's movements haven't lessened for me but aren't as vigorous as before. I feel many more rolls now as apposed to kicks. Definitely contact the midwife if you're worried, it's not worth the risk.

Cos Helen been getting these on off period pains and mw said baby layin on a nerve the mw said to us as long as they are not constant then they could also be braxton hicks but if they get worst we have to call

Thanks flick me and Helen were little unsure on the cepth thing x

Morning ladies.

Yes Pip defo phone midwife. ... everything will be fine but as flick said defo not worth the risk

Had my normal monday visit to Liverpool yesterday. ... little man is now measuring 5lb7oz and doing really well still on for section 3 weeks tomorrow. His heart rate is so stable at the minute it's lovely to hear.

I have Ewan the sheep in my.hospital bag lol people have raved about them that much and some have said they wish they'd taken him so I'm defo giving it a go.

XxX

I didn't explain it very well though Zoe lol Ceph = Cephalic presentation which basically means head down and that Helen is 1/5th engaged so baby is doing good so far. She'll probably start to feel the pressure soon if not already!

Hope things are ok Pip?

MrsT that's brilliant news!!! :D

I'm a lil anxious about Bricey. I haven't seen any updates on her thread since the 24hr pessary?

Yeh I thought that too and have been stalking!! I hope she's ok and just wayyyyy too in love to bother with us on here! It's mad how much you care about ppl that you've only really spoken to on the net isn't it

Xx

I was just wondering about bricey!!!
Hope your okay pip?

I was also thinking about cats and babies! I know some of you have cats and wondered if any of you had brought cat nets?
All bedrooms cannot be accessed by cats as I've never let them in there! But what are you all doing about when baby downstairs in moses basket?
And if you nod off sleep too?

I think my 2 cats will be too scared of baby but just a thought!!

Xx

Rachel we bought a cat net when expecting first time, we used it the first night home and never again. The cats kept well away from the basket when she was in it, they still do keep away from her haha and she's nearly 2. But you can get them pretty cheaply so if it gives you peace of mind for a couple of days etc then go for it. But honestly, they are much more faff than they're worth!
I was wondering about bricey this morning- looks like she's still hanging in there bless her.
Pip hope all is ok, deffo get checked out if you're a bit worried.

Just got back from the day assessment unit, everything is fine! I bloody knew it would be, still couldn't feel much but the heartbeat & everything is perfectly normal :) baby is just playing silly beggers!!! Thanks for asking ladies:)

I hope everything is ok with bricey too, I keep stalking but not seen or heard anything! Maybe she's too loved up :) :)

Xx

Poor bricey, what a trooper she is being. Will all be worth it in the end though :)

We considered a cat net but decided against it for similar reasons. Obviously we dont have any previous experience but our friends had one and never used it as their cat stayed well away and the health visitor said the same.

Im furious with mamas and papas!!! Ordered our pram, car seat and isofix base from them back in September and have been expecting them to be delivered yesterday or today. Just recieved a phone call to say delivery is delayed because the base is out of stock. How can it be out of stock when I placed the order IN SEPTEMBER!!! surely thats enough time to make sure they have one ready for me. Anyway after venting my anger i was informed that the base is not even an essential piece of kit and car seats can be used without them - a slight change of opinion from when they were trying to sell it to me then!!

Anyway hopefully pram and car seat coming on thursday then the base will follow next week. Sorry for the rant it just really annoys me when you pay so much money to these companies who seem to have no respect for people xx

Does anyone have any pets that are being VERY overly clingy??
My dog will not leave me alone at all.
Shes just been sat snuggling right up to me, follows me to the toilet, followed me into the kitchen and is right behind me so when i turn round i stand on her. And she was even sat outside my bedroom when i came out this morning, and my dad had been shouting her too.
I love my dog to pieces but i just cant get 5 minutes lol xx

Love the comment nici but we are a pet free home! Except for my OH

Mrsjohnson, that's disgraceful - I would of flipped my lid too. Did they say it would be a long delivery time when you ordered it? Most car seats can be used without the isofix base, it's just MUCH easier, quicker & safer. We are investing in one for ours. But that's not the point, they should of given you the option.

Is it worth filing a complaint to there head office? Even if it comes on Thursday, I'd still have to get my 2 pennies in & have a winge at them & there poor service! Some people can't be bothered with the agro but it always makes me feel better being a biatch lol

Xx

Mrs Johnson - it's bloody irrelevant of it's a necessity. The point is you ordered it in plenty of time, they've had your money and haven't delivered when they said they would

I'd be writing a complaints letter to try and get some money/vouchers back. I love complaining about stuff like that, and I usually get something back. I hate bad service!!

How do they know that you haven't any health issues that would stop you from belting the seat in? Grrrr I'm mad for you!!

Pip- glad all is ok!

Poor bricey- hang on in there!!

38 week appointment for me tomorrow so am hoping she'll agree that baby has dropped a bit. Hoping she'll agree to the sweeps from 39 weeks (consultant agreed with this to try and avoid going overdue and having a big baby again!)

Feel so completely shattered at the moment xx

Mrs Johnson complain - we had a problem with our mamas and papas furniture I emailed a complaint within 2 days and a fee emails asking questions I had £100 vouchor!

Xx

Same as you Becky, I'd try and get something back. Almost 4 months for a delivery, tut! I bet you paid a fortune too mrsjohnson?

Looking back at your pics, it defo looks like baby as dropped!

I'm having a sweep on Friday too at 39 weeks! I'm glad someone else is. I've been worrying as most people have said its unusual to have one early being a first (I know it's not your first child and is for medical reasons for you Becky) but i don't think she would offer it if it would cause me problems!

I am in two minds whether to go ahead & have it or just let nature run its course and wait another week!? Am I being impatient lol

Xx

Ive emailed my complaint to them so will see what kind of response I get!!

Hope your mw agrees to the sweep becky. Is everyone routinly offered this at 40w? Got my 38w appointment next week so will have to ask as my mw has never mentioned it x

Glad all is ok Pip!!

Yep my cat is really clingy too! Hasn't left my side all day even if I nip into kitchen and at night she either sleeps on the bed or right outside the bedroom door and follows me to the loo on every pee break through our the night haha!!

I thought it'd be a lovely idea to crochet Dexter a little blanket but jeeeezz I've never done one before and I must of been doing it for about 6 or 7 hours now and nd could probably only just use it as a baby scarf haha!! I am determined to finish it tho!
