Hi ladies

Carnat I hope they get yo in soon! This is crazy!

I wish I had some news but I am still here with my pessary in... it’s fine but just feels a bit gross. No pains sadly

The plan is to remove it after 24h which is around midday tomorrow and then insert the 6 hour tablet thing And hope that does something. If it dilated me enough, I can “join the queue” to have my waters broken... if this baby is here before Friday then it will be nothing short of a miracle

I'm being assessed at the moment. After calling at Midday and 2pm and 4pm and 6pm they finally told me to come in. No-one seems to know why I'm here though, ive been asked by 3 different people

BP fine and baby fine on trace. Now just to find me somewhere me to have this baby.

Not allowed to go home... my little boy came after school today and cried all the way home to my parents as he wanted me home - I feel horrendous. So guilty and crap.

It would help if I could give him a day that Im going to be done with this!

I have to go on the monitor at midnight as well apparently... its procedure as I had the pessary 12 hours before. Not ideal!

I can only hope that the 6 hour pessary tomorrow at midday will start things off for me. Seeing my little one so upset has made me just want to leave all of this and book the section for 39w so I can go home with him

I'm in Cafe Nero currently. No beds but if I go home then I'll do this all again tomorrow. Apparently as an out patient I'll have a better chance of a bed.

Not happy at all.

Wednesday, can you get up and about? Have a walk? Get on a ball? Have you been examined recently?

Oh no!! This is my worst nightmare..they said to me that they would give me a pessary and wait 6 hours and then another one and wait 6 hours. After that it’s break waters and syntocinon drip if the labour hasn’t started (so in my simple mind I want them to put the lessary in asap on Thursday) overnighters in hospital are not good at this stage. Are you on a ward Wednesday? I hope you can get some rest

Carnat - what a strange time to bring you in?? It’s like late at night. I hope you get some movement soon too x

Yes I can go where I like within hospital. No cannula etc, just a wrist band with my name.

Ive been on the ball this evening and it started some tightenings that were lasting 45 seconds every 2 minutes. I stopped after about half an hour as I was exhausted and thought it perhaps wasnt that wise to bring labour on at 9pm on such little sleep.

Im on the maternity ward. In a room with 4 beds, just me and this other woman who keeps bloody snoring.

Tor - its the 6 hour one Im getting tomorrow at midday. Apparently they like to do the 24h one first to efface the cervix - I have no idea what that is lol.

Carnat - I cant believe they dont have a bed for you!!! Hopefully they have by now?

I will have to ask What the plan is once I have had the 6 hour one tomorrow. If its just leave it until 6pm then leave me overnight while I am on a queue for my waters to be broken (a list that can apparently take days!!!!) I will be going home for the night. I am not staying here for the sake of it...

The whole reason I am being induced this early is the risk of baby being so big and shoulder dystocia. The more days I am left, the bigger the risk that is. If it comes to Friday and nothing happens, I will insist on the 39w section I think

Sounds like they’ve given you the propess. Which must be their policy. Given you had your sweep and it was looking favourable they could have went straight for the prostin gel. I think sometimes you can go home with the propess but that can’t be policy at your trust either. How pants you’re on a ward. I hope you can get some sleep. I’m sure I’ve been asked to go to the central delivery suite for induction, which would mean they would give me a room to myself I’d think!

I’m going to go in full of brass and name drop the medical director so they don’t f**k me about on Thursday it probably won’t work but hey - I can but try!! There has to be some perks of working in the nhs!

I don't understand why we are all here? And why people keep arriving?

I'm giving it another half an hour and then I'm leaving. They can't do this to people.

If no joy tomorrow, then I'll come back for a trace again on Friday. I'm not sitting in a corridor all night.

They shouldn’t be bringing people in like that for inductions.... a triage system should happen! Have you complained?

Carnat that’s just awful. If they don’t have capacity to see you (or anyone else) they should be referring to other trusts!!

Got my own room (Ensuite no less) just after midnight.

Postgladulin (sp) pessary been in for a few hours and I've been having quite regular pains.

Haven't been able to fully sleep through them but I've been resting. Need to buzz someone actually as I think this is pretty quick. They weren't expecting anything lol.
