*~* February 2017 yummy mummies - the last trimester *~*

Oh Tigeress that's so frustrating! I have never heard of an elective section being cancelled just times put back for emergencies! When are you re-booked for?!

Hope your recoveries get easier nic and babybee!

Hope things are under way for you now lura and that you are soon having cuddles if not already!

Contractions are coming bit more frequent now and they are stronger and lasting longer. MW has given me some liquid morphine which seems to have taken the edge off them slightly. X

Hi ladies, quick update, baby born yesterday 12:59pm weighing 7lb 2. Freaked out a little bit initially when I got the spinal but soon settled into it and went smoothly. Lost a fair amount of blood so iron is low but we are doing well. No definite name as yet but photo attached. Tigeress sorry yours was cancelled! When is the new date? Ooh exciting lura!! Hope all is going well xxx

How many babies have we got left to come?

Tigeress good luck for tomorrow. Hope all goes smoothly.

Was discharged last night and brought baby home. So lovely to use all the things we had set up and ready for her. I'm mega sore today so given in and started on the stronger stuff as only been on paracetamol until now. Having trouble latching and baby screaming blue murder at feeding times so I am really tired. Thank you for all the well wishes, think she will be Abigail Hope Britton. We are besotted! Xx

Pinkbunny, defo keep up with the meds. I tried to not take them and felt like death. After a week i was off them though so its not for long. The codeine made me so tired though, like a zombie!
As for the latching, YouTube some positioning and attachment videos by Dr Jack Newman. He's creepy but very good at getting babies to latch. Use loads of nipple cream too to help the soreness. Also if she hasn't been checked already when the midwife comes for the home visit, ask if she can check for tongue tie as that causes a bad latch and very sore nipples for you and generally quite an unsettled baby. I hope it all settles down and you get some sleep hun. If you ever need any advice or help I could try and help as im a breastfeed peer supporter and volunteer in bf support groups.

Beautiful name by the way!!xx

Are you on day 2? My friends and I joke its always the night from hell as your milk isn't yet properly in so the baby is jzust cluster feeding and crying all the time. I hope she settles soon hun.xxx

Sorry to hear that Lura, big changes for you all I'm sure she will soon settle, hope meeting big sister went well!

Beautiful name pinkbunny, hope the increased pain killers worked and you are more comfortable!

Hope everyone else is healing well and babies settling in, I have midwife this morning for my 39 week check was kind of hoping not to make it to this appointment but oh well I have told little man he has to stay put for today as it's my birthday and I'm not sharing it haha!

Thinking of Tigeress today!

Had bad night with Abi last night, called my mum for a cry this morning and she came and spent the day with us. Milk came in today, feel like I have cement in my bra! Breastfeeding is so hard but I'm still so determined. Not feeling quite so sore and moving about slightly easier so hopefully turning a corner. My hubby has been truly wonderful.

Hope you're all getting on well xxx

I'm still waiting too, behind induced on Thursday. so many gorgeous babies already

Congrats pink bunny. Sorry that you and lura have had bad nights. Hope things settle soon. Thinking of tigeress too

I'm here at 39+1 with no niggles or signs! I'm so nervous about labour but would like to avoid a section if I can. Accupuncture again tomorrow to try and help but I have a feeling I'll be waiting a while

Hey everyone, Ben is now 2 weeks old and have started to combine breast and formula as he was feeding constantly which i can't keep up with along with having a 5 year old and am finding it much easier now as I can spend time with both boys
