*~* February 2017 yummy mummies - the last trimester *~*

Hi ladies, last night I gave some nipple shields a go and they worked so well, I had a much better night last night and Abi did too. Midwife came out today and said she thinks she has tongue tie too so I feel relieved that I know what's wrong with my feeding. I'm going to go to the lactation clinic on Monday and see someone there. Was thinking of paying privately but not sure I trust just anyone with my little pickle. She also said she thinks my womb is contracting more on one side. She said nothing to worry about, but me being me I am worrying a little. It does feel uncomfortable, more on one side, but thought that was normal?? Not that I know what that is anymore, lol

LD i am still with you on the waiting game, due the day after you so hopefully it won't be too long for either of us! I am desperate to avoid induction again and have a more natural experience this time. I really beat myself up last time thinking I had completely failed at giving birth with having to be induced and then assisted with forceps.

Glad you are both finding things better nic and pinkbunny, breastfeeding can be so difficult!!

Let's hope we get nice natural labours kimmy! Im not holding much hope at the moment and if I go the induction route then my chance of a vbac goes down. Don't feel like a failure though lovely - these babies have their own ideas :)

I hope everyone else is doing well

Hey ladies!

Our daughter arrived 13th February at 12:20pm.

Ruth Mason

Came home yesterday. Felt lucky to have only needed to spend one night in hospital!

How is everyone?! I am so tired, barely slept xx

Beautiful tigeress! Congratulations and well done one just the one night stay hope the rest of your recovery is as smooth.

Huge congrats Tigeress! She's beautiful. How much did she weigh?

Good luck to those waiting! Im still missing my bump. I hope everyone else is doing ok.

My littlest did her first 6 solid hour sleep from midnight to 6am and I woke up petrified there was something wrong. My boobs were like boulders though!

Congrats Tigeress! Shes gorgeous and you look so well!

Sorry been quiet last few days i have been stalking. Yes I was lucky to get my vbac birth and so glad I did! Im share my birth story with you all when i get chance if anyone wants to hear it.

So Rose is now 5 days old and besotted with her. We decided that combi feeding works best for us so im expressing every 2 hours and feeding expressed in the day and formula at night. She seems such a chilled out baby. Here is a more recent picture:-

Anyone else get anxious as the evening and night progresses in or is just me?

Rose seems to be quite sicky at the moment and doesnt make a difference whether its breastfeeding, expressed or formula.

So beautiful Tigeress! Awwe Ruth weighed the same as my 2nd daughter.

Lura, I used to hate evening time with my second when she was born. She was also very sicky and turned out she had reflux. She also had horrible green, mucousy poos too. The gp prescribed baby gaviscon which helped but by around 14 weeks her tummy settled and she wasnt as sicky and she was so much happier. Does Rose get upset by it? How's your toddler taken to her?

I did my first solo shopping trip with all 3 kids yesterday and it was a success. I even lucked out and had them all napping at the same time after lunch. Today we went to a 4th bday party at a soft play venue and it was so nice to show off the baby to friends. I never appreciated this age before....they just eat and sleep most of the time. So much easier than 2 toddlers full of attitude.
After a single awesome night of sleep, baby A is back to being totally dreadful!!! Sleeps all day, parties all night long!x

Haha well done on the day trip babybee! Glad it all went well.

My mum and stepdad came to visit and we went for a walk up the high street to the butchers and back. She was good as gold and got lots of attention. Mum also helped me settle Ruth into a routine. Which I'm so relieved about!

Here's a pic of her in her swinging chair. She looks just like her dad here!!
Xx

Had another horrendous night with little one seems she wont settle until 2am ish. She seems very uncomfortable and doesnt seem to know what to do with herself. Def think she has reflux, my other little girl did was just hoping we could avoid it this time. Ordered some carobel which gunna try today.

Thanks hun, she is a little minx and as soon as nanny left she wanted to dictate naptime lol.

Soz your having a bad night, it's horrible isn't it.. I was really struggling to function the next day when I had a few, so I know what you mean, hopefully the carobel will help!
Xx

Sorry for going awol ladies. Tigeress congratulations hun, Ruth is gorgeous.

Abigail kept losing weight so midwife advised to top up with formula for a bit, which I've done but makes her sicky. After worrying myself sick all weekend she was reweighed today and has gained. Only 25g but it's a start. I'm going to the lactation clinic tomorrow with her to double check her tongue tie and am hoping we can get that sorted so she will pick up even quicker. I will be more relieved when she puts on a lot more.

Hope all ok with everyone. Xx

Lura, hope the reflux settles chick.
Pinkbunny, i had weight gain issues with my eldest, think she lost between 12-13% and i had to combi feed. Once she regained everything then i went back to just breastfeeding and it was fine. I was quite happy to carry on combi feeding or switching to formula as the worry of weight gain was so stressful. I can totally sympathise with you but it sounds like things are on the up!!
Tigeress, she's gorgeous! What's your routine like?

My midwife was on holiday last week but came to see us today and at just over 3 weeks we are finally discharged. My little lady was born 3 weeks early and weighed 7lbs 7oz and now she's 9lbs and she is such a lump. She has her audiology appt on Wednesday as she failed the newborn hearing test so Im dreading going to that and the results!x

Aww your babies are all so cute, sorry some of you haven't had the easiest of times, hope the reflux settles soon Lura and little one settles down and hope your little one continues to gain weight now pinkbunny they can be such a worry! And congrats on being signed off by the midwife babybee!

My due date today and still no definite signs of him arriving any time soon! I have done everything I can think of to prepare and my house has never been so sparkling clean haha! I am going to go for a lovely walk today and have midwife tomorrow if nothing happens today/ tonight, I am hoping she will give me a sweep and with all my bouncing, tea drinking and primrose oil I should be favourable.

Hey ladies I hope everyone is well. Just to let you know my little girl Clara was born Sunday 11.59 in a very quick vbac!! She weighed 7lb and is gorgeous.

Sorry for those with issues - my first lost weight and I had to top up with formula and we also had a rough night last night so I can relate and feeling knackered ha!

I hope you and your babies are all well.

Kimmy - hope your bubs makes an appearance soon :) x

Congratulations LD, glad you got your vbac!!

Feel like the last one left on the shelf haha!
