oww! that sounds a nightmare, well done on your quick reflexes!

can i ask what you were doing walkng across a golf course? hehe

Jenny, did the MW offer you a sweep today, or did you have to request it.
mine says she won't try a sweep unless he is 40+10.... seems a long way off!

It was offered hun, she said as it's my first time they offer it to all first time Mums as they want to try and bring baby on this way then with induction - I'm booked in for induction at 40+10 - maybe ask for one, have you got any twinges? x

I was in the park with my DD and a group of boys were 'playing' golf in the grassy area near by.

lots of baby movements and BH, but no twinges and no plug loss.
i don't think i will go for a while.
i have a growth scan on weds though, to see if i have enough amniotic fluid, they will assess me after that.
i hope your sweep works for you, i like what you said about her having a good rummage around!
did it hurt?

if you lived in the states, you could probably sue their ASSES off!
saying that, we have no win no fee stuff here now, do you know who they are?:eh:

It really hurt but straight after you sort of think "that wasn't too bad..."

eeeeeeeek!
not looking forward to it, hope i don't need one.

lol about sueing.
Hope the sweep helps jen.
I dread the thought of having a sweep never had one with my older 2.

i know its premature to think about it, as i'm not even due until tomorrow, and might come anytime, but i was thinking not to have any sweeps or try any 'natural methods' and just wait it out...
i don't know when they would pressure you to induce if you are way over, i suppose it depends on the health of placenta and welfare of baby?

Thanks Girls :) Due Date Baby YAY!!

Was wondering how your sweep went Jen! How you feeling after it?

Hows everyone else xx

I think 42 is as far as they allow.
They say the placenta dosent work effectivly after that.
I know there are people who will say try this it worked for me but in all honesty it may just be coincidence that baby came after trying something.

hi kelly, how are you feeling? what a quick labour, i am sooo jealous!

emerald... yep, i don't think these natural remedies work, although i am still drinking raspberry leaf tea to help with labour.

Hi hun, it was bloody painful but I'm 1cm dilated, cervix is softening/shortening, she could feel baby's head and I had my show! Hoping LO makes an appearance soon!

Charlie is beautiful btw, he's such a cutie xx

Last night I went to bed at 1.30am and hubby woke me up at 2-3 ish when he came to bed. I then was wide awake and did not get to bed till 8am. Wee Josh woke me up at 8.30 to say good morning and then my business phone line started ringing off the hook since 9am so I just bloody got up. I'm beginning to get well pissed off at this lack of sleep. I have mw tomorrow and I'll ask to see my GP for something to help - I cant go on like this any more..... there, rant over

Rant not over.......grrrrrrrr........got up for a pee after 3am, tossed and turned in bed for over an hour then got hungry so here I am having tea and toast. Also was bugging me that I had forgotten to log onto facebook last night to see a pick of KellyHook's Charlie - aaaawww he's gorgeous!! Also been out in rain 10 mins ago trying to find my urine sample bottle for mw. I stuck it in kitchen table drawer but now I have new table the old one got chucked outside and in rain its warped so cant open drawer - she is gonna kill me cos not seen her in 2 weeks and last time I could not produce a sample on demand. Better get glugging the water an hour before appointment eh? Rambling now hmmmmm?? ok I'm here alone again. Gonna finish my cuppa, have a tray of ice cubes then go back up to bed to read, at least I will be relaxing and fingers crossed may get tired again.....

Morning ladies
I've not slept most of the night :( am so tired but have been up about an hour ago and have already cleaned up, just need to hoover but I don't think my OH would appreciate it yet! I just can't seem to stop thinking about when baby is going to arrive, not so much the birth just actually baby arriving.

I need to stop sign spotting its driving me mad, checking for plug everytime I go the loo or when I sit up from lying down wondering if my waters are going to break. Come on baby mummy really wants to meet you now xxx

morning all.
i am waiting for a reasonable time to start the hoovering too, don't want to disturb anyone! hahaha

happy due date to me and to jenny farful too! feel quite excited, but not much chance of me doing a kellyhook and coming on time i don't think!

hope something happens for you today jacki x

Morning all - happy due date to me!

And happy due date Almeria!

Had a wonderful nights sleep (sorry Tracey ) but had only got 4 hours the night before so was wrecked!

Hubby looked all hopeful this morning that I was gonna say I was in labour so he didn't have to go to work lol, but no such luck! No idea when this bubs is coming! 22 hours after my sweep and not alot is happening, lost a teeny bit of my plug this morning but other than that - all quiet! Chilling out today as house has been ready for over a week, all washing done etc so let's see if the relaxed method works x
