I don't know - I'm not sure how long inbetween sweeps you have to wait. I'll be seeing her anyway as a general check up...although I'm hoping labour starts tonight so I won't have to!
I don't fancy another sweep but if it gets things going it'll be worth it! X

I thought it was 2 days. But might have made that up.

Hi ladies! Well my flats been thoroughly sprayed. Nursery is officially ready and we have our new freezer all stocked, so we have lots of food for the next week.

Still got bad back ache and cramps but if it was gonna turn in to something I'm sure it would have started by now. Just had a bath, mmmmmm, was lovely!!

Denise, so happy for you, huge congrats!

This may sound like the dumbest question ever... But for the ladies that have had babies before, how would you describe a contraction??
I'm having 2 different types of pain (with tightenings)...
I have the dull period type pain...
and then I have this stronger pain that feels like someone is really pulling my pubic bone and makes me feel like I need a wee sometimes?? It can kinda go through to the low of my back aswell??

The second pain is much more intense and takes my breath away from time to time... Would you say that's more than likely a BH/Contraction??

I'm just clingin onto hope that I will know when the time is right I guess lol.

I think it's different for everyone.

Many people describe like a period pain. Not for me.

It was unmistakenly a contraction my first one. It was like a ripple of a wave running right down my bump, top to bottom. They didn't hurt in the beginning. I struggle to remember what they were like when it was more intense.

When I put my hand on the top of my bump, I can feel it getting tighter and harder before the pain comes. Then when the pain goes I can feel it relaxing again. This is what made me wonder... Hmmm may just keep an eye out!! X

I'm getting a bit fed up with my hubby's reaction every time I go "argh" in pain! I swear he thinks I'm in labour when I make any noise!

This baby is seriously running out of room and the squirming really hurts sometimes!!

Could be braxtons? Most people will agree that you will know when it's the real thing.

Yep I def knew when it was a contraction for me. I think you will know the real thing. You are probably having BH. I keep getting them at mo and its like an uncomfortable tightness on top of bump.

Same here Giz. The squirming is getting so uncomfortable.

I can feel my bh now. I always thought it was baby pushing out lol. But I get bh alot instead.

Due date is fast approaching and I have no signs.

Been more crampy today and a slight lower back pain for the last hour or two. But off to bed now. So no doubt ill be fine in the morning.

In the 5am club again today, I seem to wake so early and it sucks!

With regards to BH, I've been assuming I've had these on and off for the last few weeks but reading all of your posts, I'm not too sure!

I've never felt anything at all at the top of my bump, all my cramps, tightenings etc have been low down, below my belly and in my back. Wonder what these are. They keep waking me at night and I wish they would piss off! Lol!

I'm in the 4am club! It's like a built in alarm! Sitting having a cuppa tea and watching crap on tv just wish I could sleep! I've been having cramping since yesterday it ranges from mild to pretty sore and its quite low down taken some paracetamol witch eases it a bit but can't sleep for it feels like I have my period been losing my plug since yesterday also well I think its my plug or bloody show not sure x

Aww Vic, I was so hoping something was gonna happen for you!
Sorry to hear your up so early too, with nothing yet to show for it. Try a warm bath...I know its always said but I had my first one yesterday for weeks (ago wants a hot bath in all of this heat?!) But I was like a different person after! It was soooo good!

Well I've had constant period ache for over 24h now ans getting regular uncomfortable cramps, but they are all low down so I don't know what they are. Did think I'd lost some plug but nowt overnight. I'm just going to ignore all these little signs and get on with my day, I don't think anything is going to happen any time soon.

My big concern is babys position, he's moved but not to the correct position, its almost like he is on his side? My MW only works Mondays and I don't think I can really call the unit just to say oh babys in a different position!

Hope you do manage to get some rest!
