***August Mummies Final Hurdle! ***

That's a gorgeous photo Roxy! Look at all her hair!

Wifey has had lots of backache/pain since the sweep yesterday, contractions every 8 minutes for an hour during the night but nothing since and everything has quietened down! Hoping for spontaneous labour before induction tomorrow still! Either way baby *should* be here by the end of tomorrow either way! eek!

Good luck everyone still waiting for their bundle of joy to arrive.

Michael

Roxy she is adorable xx well it's official I'm overdue! mum has gone on holiday today till next Fri so baby can wait I don't mind now I really don't want baby to be nearly a week old when my mum meets her but knowing my luck she will be born while she's away x

All the best to you and your wife Michael, not long now either way!

Welcome to overdue-Ness Mictho! Hopefully bubs will hang on til your Mum gets back so she can see her straight away. Xx

Thank you.

Good luck Micheal, hopefully things start up today but if not at least your wife has induction tomorrow and by the sounds of it her body is preparing already so it should be a quick one. X

We're hoping for a quick one too! Wifey is really nervous now as she knows one way or another she's got to go through labour at some point in the next 36 hours :(

Michael x

Everyone is very quiet lately come on babies there are lots of Mummy's waiting for you!!

Roxy she is a doll!!!

I am exhausted, was up almost 2 hours timing contractions last night and my husband and I thought last night was the night for sure! 4-5 mins apart lasting 45-60 seconds that whole time. Then we fell asleep and it's all been totally stopped for the last 8 hours. Trying not to cry.

Bless ya kholl that sounds like me it's a horrible tease isn't it let's hope it's the start for us and more will come and turn in to the real deal for us asap xxx

Yeah, on the one hand I'm grateful SOMETHING is happening, but I also know this could go on for days if not weeks. I am so so tired today.

Sorry it's been a while, been settling in to motherhood!

Here is my birth story;
Went in on Sunday for induction, had the propess at around half 1, and waited. That night I didn't sleep for contractions that were all in my back, paracetamol/codeine just wouldn't touch it. Lasted all night, then became very irregular during Monday.

Waited until 1am on Tuesday to be taken round to labour ward, was started on the hormone drip, still with back pain (by now getting horrendous!) Examined and not going very far. Found that Jacob was slightly back to back. Contractions getting really strong and frequent, still all in my back. Hated using the gas and air but had to have it due to the pain, although got so bad I asked for an epidural, they examined me before starting it, at around half 8, I was 6cms. I was sat up and the docs put the local anaesthetic in, I then had a couple of contractions, and felt the need to push, checked and was 9 and a half cms! After 2 hours of pushing with no pain relief my little whopper was born at 11:20, meaning my labour was a total of 6 hours 20 minutes.

Jacob is amazing. Have struggled with breastfeeding so far, but getting there. I hope the pic I have attached appears!

Hope everyone is enjoying cuddles, if not I hope you get to enjoy your cuddles soon!

Let's hope it's not long for either of us xx I hate thinking "is this it"? Then nothing it's so disheartening 😣

Aww he's so gorgeous Kirsty!

I can't believe I'm this far along and still no signs of anything happening! It's so disheartening :(

Ah roxy what a beaut of a photo!
We popped out today to town for a bit I went into 3shops that are all next to each other and couldn't walk anymore. So I sat in Costa whilst the oh carried on and got the other stuff we needed the I just needed to walk back to the car. Thought I was feeling too good for only 3days post section.

Poppy is struggling with her feeding but we are getting there. She is good as gold though during the night only been waking twice and usually takes her biggest feed in the middle of the night. She can though manage to kick her blanket off and kick herself to the top of the Moses basket!

Fab story and pic Kirsty. How are you feeling now? In a way I kind of feel sad at the fact I never got to push. Wish I could have experienced it but she had other ideas!

Michael hope your wife is doing ok and that something happens before induction.

Absolutely gorgeous x

Congrats Kirsty! So beautiful!

My midwife appointment was so depressing. Barely 1 cm and barely effaced. In 15 days all my help will be gone and I'm going to be either still pregnant (fucking likely) or bleeding everywhere with a newborn and on my own. I am so so depressed right now.

I'm sorry kholl your feeling so low. I take it family cant help out later on? Do they live far from you?

Lovely pic kirsty!

Are you bottle feeding summer? India had trouble the first few days with feeding but once she got use to the teat and sucking she's been doing fine. Also have you bought/looked into grobags? I used them for harper as she use to kick blankets off. They usually cant be used before a certain weight tho. I'll defo be using them for India when she's a bit bigger. I tried one on her last night but she's still slightly too small for it. X

Roxy yes we have no family in town, they live in a different state it's a 1.5-hr plane ride or 12-hour car trip to visit.

Blimey that's far away. I can't comprehend it as England just isn't that big! But I would hate to be so far away from family. Does your older two go to any sort of daycare/school yet? Xx
