***August Mummies Final Hurdle! ***

Glad all is well Kholl, I had one day when baby when was quiet last week and I was worried sick! Luckily the next day he was back to his usual wiggly self.

29 weeks over here and things are starting to get very real! Can I ask how much weight you ladies have gained so far? I've just got back to the doctors and I've put on 21 lbs so far!

Had a fantastic time at the 3d ultrasound, will get pics up here next time I'm on a PC :-)

I got on the scales last week and I have put on a stone so far - quite pleased with that considering when I was pregnant with my daughter I put on about 3 stone xx

I had 31 week mw appt today all good. She says baby is bum up head down.

So far I have gained 1st 9lbs. I've been on slimming world throughout & get weighed on a Wednesday. Tomorrow is going to be a bad one I can feel it. You know when you just feel heavier, frumpy & generally all round bigger?! This week's food hasn't helped either

I've not been weighed since booking in but according to my scales I'm about 7lb down but that's starting to rise now. I'm hoping not to put on more than 1 stone but I'm not going to worry about it (she says)!

How's you all been with the heat today? It's really close down south which I've struggled with, we need a good storm!
Anyone thought about birth plan yet? My friend told me not to bother because being consultant led I have to be in laid in a bed with monitors on and midwife did say that at my 28 week appointment! Xx

I get weighed every time. We use kilograms, so no idea how much lb that is but I put on about 6 kg now. With DS I put on 9 kg in total. I won't make a birth plan because last time it couldn't go as I wanted (baby came before the bath was filled) so I don't want to think too much about it and just see what's possible at the moment itself. They have baths in every delivery room, so I can always get a water birth if I ask one then. :-)

Nicki do you mind me asking why you are consultant led? I am consultant and midwife led and I have been told I don't have to be continuously monitored and can go for a water birth if I really want one, I do really want one but I tore really badly last time so they have advised me against it, because the midwife can't clearly see exactly what is going on down there.

So my birth plan is pretty much to labour in water then decide whether I want to deliver in water at the time and that is about it lol! xx

I don't mind you asking :) the midwife says its 90% of it is down to bmi (it was 39 at my first appointment) but they're also worried because of my gastric bypass, I'd only had it done about 7 months before I got pregnant. But when I met with the consultant she said it wasn't a concern and it was my Bmi! I've always wanted a water birth but been told no chance :(

Ahh same my BMI is something like 32 or 35 I can't actually remember which, which is why I am under a consultant. Aww that is annoying for you, I wonder why I am allowed to then?! To be honest I will probably chicken out anyway, I think I would like to labour in water but I think I will want my midwife telling me exactly what to do when it comes to pushing! xx

So baby has been quiet the past few days. I was rushed off my feet yesterday until about 9.30pm. Felt baby a few times in the evening but not as much as normal. Today I was gonna call the midwife but baby moved a bit this morning so didn't bother and thought id monitor movements. Again another busy day so not sure If that's why I haven't felt as much. Had a bit of movement around lunchtime whilst I was out. Just had a bath as that gets baby going sometimes. Im about to have a cold drink and lay on my left side for a bit and see if that helps but not sure if I should call the hospital or not. I've had a few movements again this evening but not as much as usual. I'm hoping a cold drink will get baby moving. Sorry for rambling lol xx

Yeah try that first Roxy then lie on left side for a little while then call them if you don't get much, better safe than sorry love xxx

Thats what I'm thinking lexi. Thing is if I do call and they say go in I'm gonna have to find someone to sit with harper as OH is on a night shift and already at work. I don't know how long I should try lying down for but its already getting on and I dont know who I can call this late at night x

How did it go yesterday Roxy? Did you feel baby or go to the hospital? Hope everything is OK!

After a bottle of Lucozade and a choc bar baby moved loads last night, also had movement during the night and this morning xx

Phew! Such a relief isn't it - I felt really stupid when I went in a few weeks ago but you do have to be safer just in case. Glad baby is all arms and legs again!

Anyone else feel weird about the movements? I felt really weird about it when pregnant with S and this time I feel really weird about it, like he turns over or rolls round or something and it does freak me about a little bit - I don't think I like being able to see it either It's a weird one because of course it's like a miracle but it's odd xx

Oh phew glad baby was back to moving again roxy, it's always difficult when we're busy we just don't notice it much then naturally panic ourselves!

Lexi I love the movements. Some of them feel a little alien like & make me stop in my tracks but I could sit for hours & watch baby move about. Xx

Had my 28wk appointment yesterday was nice considering I hadn't seen her since 16wks midwife says bump is at the top back down right side legs to the left and placenta at the front so explains why not really feeling a patent in her movements yet although I feel/see a lot of her bum poking out from time to time x scary to think next time I see midwife I'll. Be 34 wks!!

Hey mictho! Aww lovely yeah the appointments are really spread out for me too... But hey it makes the time go quicker!!

Lol I don't know why I don't like the movements it just creeps me out a little I guess! Xx

I find the movements weird. It's like there's an alien wriggling in there. Not sure I like it. My son rarely moved, and when he did it was kicks, she just keeps wriggling. I think I'd like it better if she kicked, rather then wriggling all the time. I'm not sure if it's because I'm smaller this time, so she has less room then my son, so I'm feeling it more.

Is anybody else struggling with names? We had a name, but then my oh decided he didn't like it! Now I'm back to square one, and he's not helping with coming up with any alternatives.

I love the movements but can see how they could be a little bizarre!

We will name the baby after (s)he is born. After my son was born, so many of the boy names we had imagined just didn't suit him, and it was like we had to look into his face to know his name. So we will do that this time too.
