August 2020 Mummies

Yeh they are very excited, especially my 5 year old, I think it will make it few more real for them once they can fee too :)

A break is lovely, we are going to try away again just for a week south in Easter I think before the madness as you say haha and then we have a wedding in August so the fun really will begin then as it’s south too so not sure am looking forward to that haha xxx

Oh you have to tell us when they feel the baby.

That is alot for you with newborn and then a wedding and maybe still trying to heal. Hope you are well by then so can enjoy it and not worry.

It will probably be just down south for us too as easier to pack up a car with everything than packing a case for a flight haha xxx

For the last few weeks I have been coughing so bad that I heave to be sick. Googled it and most likely due to my bad acid reflux as today I did start coughing bad after about 5minutes of aching acid reflux. Least if that no infection or serious... The joys of pregnancy learn something new everyday xxx

Has any of you ladies taken antibiotics when pregnant. Been to doctors after night struggling to breath with the cough and heaving. Been given antibiotics but I don't even like taking paracetamol. :-( xxx

I have taken antibiotics in both previous pregnancy’s which have both been fine, I had them multiple times throughout both pregnancies for uti and for other infections. I am like yourself and try and avoid medication at all costs but if the doctor is prescribing them they will help :) its upto you but I would try not worry too much and hopefully it helps :) xxx

I googled it and now even more thinking I don't want to with what NHS are saying etc... This was what I saw from NHS and another site... I don't feel ill enough to justify taking them. Don't know what to do... Picked them up but not started them xxx

I think if I remember right it was amoxicillin and something else I was given, but not that one. So really not sure what to advise, you have to do what’s best for you. I took them as some of my infections put me at risk of preterm labour so felt it best to take them, but I understand totally not wanting to. As I never want to risk anything either. Maybe go back to doctors and see what they say. Xxx

Why have they given you antibiotics? Do they think chest infection?
I would question the type of antibiotic they have given as I’m sure amoxicillin is classes as safe in pregnancy? Why not that one?
I think you’re right to be wary. Maybe hold off until you can speak to your GP again.

She had to check to see what antibiotic to give me as can't take penicillin so she wasn't sure... That made me nervous. Its the miscarriage side.. That makes me nervous. I have consultant on Wednesday. Was thinking hanging off until then asking her but it says for chest infection but she said I just had a temp and lymph nodes abit swollen. Chest seemed fine and I don't feel unwell tonight. Xxx

Ah I see.
I don’t understand why doctors prescribe antibiotics unless they are REALLY needed. If you are feeling ok, maybe wait.
I wouldn’t want to take anything that gave me an increased risk of miscarriage either.

I totally agree I don't think to take unless really needed. Thank you. Feel better about my decision. If I get worse or anything I would take antibiotics if putting baby in harm but I feel these ones could be more harmful than not taking. I am no doctor but googled the name and alot didn't recommend. Couldn't face another miscarriage esp if I caused it. Thank you honest needed to hear someone's else's thoughts xxx

I totally understand why you would feel like that. So long as you are feeling ok, then I think it’s fine to hold off on taking them.

Thank you... You and @Kiwi_53 have made me feel better. Its great to have you all to talk to. How are you feeling anyway.. Are your 2 little babies keeping you nauseated and run down... Hope you are getting some rest xxx

I’m honestly so exhausted. The nausea wasn’t too bad today, but I was getting dizzy standing up too fast (the joys of a demanding 4 year old.)
My daughter goes to her dads on a Friday night so I am looking forward to a lie in on Saturday.
I’m starting to feel very full and uncomfortable now as well, already!

Awww they are really taking all your engery. Watch you don't faint, it must be so hard pregnant with twins and a wee girl. Hope you get rest tomorrow night and able to lie longer Saturday. Xxx

Thank you @Jac2019 I felt pretty close to fainting today doing the nursery run. That awful wind and rain as well!
Just in bed now, trying to build up some energy to pick my daughter up at lunch time.
Kind of starting to worry that it’s only going to get worse and I’m going to struggle this whole pregnancy. It will be worth it in the end, of course. It just makes life very difficult in the meantime.

I hope you got a good sleep and your chest has been ok today!

Hope everyone else is doing well too.

Do we have any 20 week scans coming up soon? Mine isn’t until the end of March.

Yeah I was out getting gaviscon there and got blown away.

Awww I know it does seem you will suffer more as having twins which is such ashame but I know it will be worth it when holding them. Just hope you don't faint. That is so scarey. Try rest all you can when your wee girl at her dad's and take anything that can help give energy to you. :-(

The coughing got really bad again last night but hadn't been out for gaviscon yet so hoping from now on I will start to feel better and take this everytime acid reflux starts. Didn't take the antibiotics and really don't think I need them. My scan is think 10 or 11 March but need to find letter but have consultant next week so hoping to hear baby and ask few questions to try help with anxiety.

Hope everyone else is okay. Next week all going well will be half way through at 19weeks if being induced early. Think few of us will have babies at least 2 weeks before and if you are having twins you could be 3 or 4 weeks early. Its so exciting to get to the end and see all you have your babies in your arms xxx

So sorry to hear your so poorly still, try and rest as much as you can.

My scan is on the 2nd so a week on Monday so not long now, counting the days and getting so anxious about it.

19 weeks today for me, still no bump, but loads of movement :) so yeh more than likely half way there for me :) xxx
