August 2017 babies! The final thread!

I don't think the midwives are taking me seriously. I said I haven't felt baby move at all since this morning and had blood etc and the pain in my back is coming answer going plus incredibly painful.
They're supposed to use the doppler on me because i haven't had movement in a long while but no I'm sat out waiting! And didn't even ask about my pain etc and just said put my pad in the pot with my name on etc and like I tried to explain there's nothing coming out like that only when I wipe and some clots that go into the toilet... but she was like just put pad in there. Ok then :/

Sorry baby is being stubborn and doesn't wanna come rose, but least he's not turned back again x

PB that is absolutely terrible. They should be taking you seriously about the movement. You should ask if you are getting monitored or not and see if they have forgotten about you, I had that so many times. My plug was pretty dramatic, I'd gone for a shower since it was the hottest day ever and I felt terrible and they didn't believe they I was in pain... I was 6cm dialated! It was like a scene from Carrie in the shower which gave me a big fright... still made sure I washed my conditioner out though haha!

PB whatever you do don't take no for answer. You tell them you aren't leaving until you have been monitored properly if you haven't felt baby move all day and have had bleeding. If they are still dismissive tell them you want to speak to the person in charge and that you want details of who you can complain to. Also I would start very loudly talking about how much trouble you've had/how many losses you've had previously and how it's a disgrace you are being treated like that. I'm shocked that someone could go in with no movement and not immediately be looked at x

Really hope they decided to induce you and get baby out there comes a point when it's time for baby to be here x

Rubbish at updating but reading all. Just wanted to say hope all is okay PB xx

Sending everyone lots of love xx

Hope everything is going alright PB and everyone else. I had my scan today and everything is all alright with little man! They estimated that he weighs 9lb 9oz!!!

Wow Rach that's a big estimate! Even when I had my 10lb baby they'd never estimated he'd be quite that big! I hope they are slightly off with their estimate for you! X

Thinking of you too PB x

Wow Rach! But I don't put much stock in weight estimates tbh! They always seem to be off by some margin x

Theo is 2 weeks today! :O It's been such a whirlwind. HV came yesterday, which was okay. Seemed to take ages though and she didn't even really do much. I think that's the last of our appointments now, and OH goes back to work on Monday. Hoping things will settle down a bit now tbh. It's been too busy!

Really that's your last appointment? Our HVs (in Scotland) come every week until 6 weeks and then after that you get a 4 month, 8month, 13 month review and obviously all the injections in between.

That's so quick too, can't believe you have a two week baby and I'm still sat here like a miserable whale! X

Yep! They only come like 4 times or something in the whole time they are under a HV... the next one is a development review at 8-9 months!! Budget cuts I guess...

The injections and 6 week appt etc are all with my GP.

Arghhh I have definitely had enough now :( I've been in tears this morning from the pain in my body just caused from hoovering two rooms and picking up all the kids toys. It's not like I can even call anyone and beg them to put them out my misery, I literally have the first consultant appointment available and that's not til a week tomorrow. And I feel so guilty because my toddlers don't understand why I have to keep pushing them off me when they climb me or why I can't sit on the floor and play anymore x

Oh rose, the pain is awful I understand, do you have co codomol? My consultant said we can take as needed. The go can give you the stronger dose or pharmacy lower. It's probably time to stop the housework and rest darling, hovering is the worse you can do. I know it's hard to stop/ rely on others for help but you don't want to do any damage xx

I have the strong cocodamol but I've already been told it would be pointless to take it - all my pain is from nerves being compressed so no painkiller we can take would do any good. Plus I can't tolerate cocodamol well and have to go to bed. I read up on it and the codeine gets changed into morphine when your body processes it and some people create more morphine than others which is why my OH can take it and be absolutely fine whereas I'm throwing my guts up and falling asleep.

Unfortunately if I didn't do the housework it wouldn't get done, OH is too busy working/is literally oblivious to mess and I have a friend coming round with her two children so needed to clean our play room. I do already do the bare minimum as I'm always so busy just entertaining my two little monsters. Unfortunately a 2 and a 1 year old can make an incredible mess in very little time at all :( x
