August 2017 babies! The final thread!

Talking about movements, it feels like baby kicks in my bum like right down there... Anyone else? Idk wtf happens down there but it's weird.

Charli I read that you don't notice movements much if your busy, and you rock baby to sleep that why they wake when you lie down :)
I ahve the occasional hard kick usually when I'm trying to sleep or waking up, but she still feels like gas, i thought the gas feeling was early movements idk if it's normal. She likes to roll around reallyyyyyy low... feel like she'll just dropout sometimes :oooo:

I've used the "Kicks Count" app daily for a few weeks, until it helped me to identify a pattern with baby's movements. From my understanding, recent advice involves counting the "sessions" of movement throughout the day rather than each individual movement/kick. The app produces daily/weekly statistics and graphs. I've more or less stopped using it now after it helped me to identify his general pattern; we get 1 session between 4-8am, 1 session between 8am-12noon, 2 sessions 12-4pm, 2 sessions 4pm-8pm, and 1or2 sessions between 8pm-12midnight. So 7-8 sessions daily. So he seems to be regularly active throughout the day, with his active sessions almost evenly distributed/spread out throughout the day and slightly more increased during afternoon and evening. Whereas another baby's pattern could be much more "bursty"/uneven, e.g. lots of sessions throughout the am hours and quiet during pm, or the other way around.

Now that I think of it, based on the links that Kumber shared, I should really carry on using the app until 32 weeks just to be sure I have his final final pattern.

Flying abroad to my dad's on Monday with my toddler for about 2 weeks, all I'm wishing is that time flies so I can come back. So that we can start packing for our move to the new house early July. All I want is that baby stays put whilst I'm away without hubby! So so nervous, I don't wanna go, but I have to xx

Yep I get these a lot PeanutButter. Feels as if he kicks/elbows?/headbutts? me in the foof and bum from the inside ewwwww! Naughty babies!!! :shock:

I downloaded the kicks count app but I can't have my phone out at work so I don't think it will be much help :( It's a shame because I'm a bit geeky and graphs would help!

I feel like absolute shit now, I literally ate my dinner in bed and now I'm just laid here watching tv :( Wish I hadn't gone to work after my GTT now :(

Well I guess my GTT result was perfectly normal as I never heard anything yesterday or today and they said if we don't hear then everything is fine. I expected to be fine seeing as I was with the other two - clearly I just make big babies! X
 
Yay that's good Rose :) I have to ring up for mine between 2-4pm tomorrow, which is a bit of a pain in the bum cos I'll be at work! I'll have to take my pm break early.

I will have a look thanks Kumber :) I have started to use the app now, if I only have to note a session rather than every kick then I probably can do it at work on the sly :P
 
Pleased everyone's GTT results are coming back clear ��

I phoned the hospital number on the front of my notes because my midwife shuts at 5pm and I was just looking for some advice and they said because I was 27 weeks to come in and they would run some checks to make sure everything was alright because I had cramps also along with no movement from him at all where as at the weekend and beginning of the week you could see him moving.

I hope everything is alright with that girl misscharli it would be so worrying!

I'm so pleased it's he weekend tomorrow!
 
I don't even have a number for my midwife, I just have to call the 24 hour hospital triage number. Is that weird? I'm glad they got you all sorted though. I think I'm more likely to be blase about it and assume all is fine, so now I'm worried that I won't notice if something is wrong!

Yes I'm definitely glad it's nearly the weekend too! Do you have much planned?

No unfortunately the only plans we have for this weekend is more decorating! We have decorated our bedroom now so just need to gloss and then start on the living room before the salons arrives in 3 weeeks. Have you got much planned?
 
So I thought eating Brazil nuts was a great way to get vitamins and what I need, I don't even like them and was eating them for baby... well turns out they give you the shits :shock::oooo: last few days every morning running to the loo I thought my ibs was playing up but today I feel like death... belly won't stop turning and making rather loud noise, and I can't even tell if it's baby moving or my belly :roll: I was trying to figure out what was causing it.... so does anyone know another good snack I could try that's easy? :lol:

We are off to the babyshow at the NEC tomorrow and I can't wait. It feels like a real achievement actually being pregnant and going to pregnant things :-)

You have to eat more than 5 I think for a few days! Hope it's helps aha. I've been eating the ones from asda 'good and balanced'

I'm not a nut fan lol... I only eat them at Xmas but that's peanuts coverd in slat aha. I think I might just eat 2 brazil nuts a day (4 is the recommended about... obviously I didn't know this and was eating about 10 pmsl) x
 
Got my GTT results, the fasting one was just ok but the 2hr one was 8.2 when it should be max 7.8 :(

Not really, just told me I have to go in for an appt next week at the clinic. I wasn't happy with that so called back and asked to speak to a midwife who was really nice. Just said it was just over so would be monitored by blood meter thingy and diet controlled unless it got worse.

I can't help but to think my cold could have affected it though :( could have done without this tbh and feel really bad now :(


 
I think you're right MissCharli about the possibility of your cold skewing the results. Sugar levels might go up as our body needs more energy to fight off a cold or virus, makes sense doesn't it!

Totally get you when you're saying could have done without this, but hey sweetheart hopefully the blood meter thingy will show things are ok without you needing to change anything diet wise? Sending more hugs your way xx
