August 2017 babies! The final thread!

What outfit have you picked perfect? 🙂

Else the I know I don't know where he has come from haha 😂
I'm sure if you have a look around indifferent sites you will find something that's barely been used in good condition 🙂 That's what my Chicco next 2 me is like. It looks brand new and then I just bought a new mattress for it 🙂

Kumber I would totally expect you to follow with us now ☺️

Fingers crossed you get some more sleep tonight misscharli 🤞 Ooo I like the sound of your sofa! I'm pleased we aren't the only mad ones buying a new sofa before baby arrives haha. I can't believe when you say 9 weeks you will be on mat leave it seems so close now! I was actually thinking of going off about the same time 🙂

Haha well I know it doesn't really feel like a necessity right now! But actually the sofa we have is wrecked (it came with the house) and it will create more space in the living room for him to play etc. The OH wanted it more than me, but he is also gonna be the one paying for it mostly so :p

Are all of yous having christenings? I never was, and though OH was he is totally non-religious so we aren't!

I know Elspeth my hubby got a new guitar and I had some money to spend to and we had fun in our own ways!!!

At one point I had bundles of parcels coming to the house regularly it was great fun!!

Soon spent up though!! Haha

Miss Charli I was christened same as my mum and we are not religious at all !!
I also had a church wedding I like the old fashioned lovelyness of the churches - I have a thing about churches I have to look inside everyone I stumble across it's just the history it really appeals to my old soul..

Il post pic of the outfit now it has little white ducks on it..
I just love it x

Thanks ladies :hugs: can I be put down for the 31st please?

Will catch up on posts tomorrow, full of the nasty cold and I feel like something out of The Walking Dead! Hopefully it does one pretty quickly, flipping hate colds!

Can't post outfit at the moment won't let me try again tomorrow technology sucks
Haha!!

Hope you feeling better soon Kumber x

Just had what I'm pretty sure was a Braxton hicks contraction. I was just laying in bed rubbing my belly (as you do...) and it went really hard for a bit and then really soft! It didn't hurt and I probably wouldn't have noticed had I not been touching my belly at the time. Weird though :)

I wondered where everyone had gone but I see you've all crept over here! My OH now has the terrible illness - we are now sure it's Norovirus so desperately trying to keep my little girl away from it.

How is everyone? X

Just caught up on everyone.
Misscharli that definitely sounds like braxton hicks to me - I've had plenty of them and that's how I'd describe it. Can you change my due date to the 26th? I think that's too early but that's my 'official date' from the hospital.

Buying bigger sizes clothes while you have the money is a good idea because you'll find other people will buy you loads of clothes as presents but will stick to the small 'cute' sizes. I try to buy the next years clothes in the sales so last summer sales I bought age 2-3 for my daughter etc.

I have delivered at 40+1 with both my previous babies, first baby I had a sweep booked on my due date but labour started naturally 3 hours before that was booked (9am) and she was born just after midnight so 40+1. With my second I had been in hospital twice for reduced movement in the last couple of weeks and if you go in twice where I am then they scan you so they knew I was big and when the consultant saw me at 39 weeks she said lets just put you out your misery because you are huge and induce you on your due date. Again I delivered just after midnight. So in my experience there needs to be a reason why they don't let you go over 40 weeks but it is possible they'll get you in if they think it's needed x

Changed it for you Rose :) ah norovirus sounds horrible! Fingers crossed she doesn't get it.

We did start buying a few 6-9 months but not loads atm, and nothing after that. But I agree I think we should now. We have loads of the rest (we were given a whole bag of neutral small baby and newborn stuff!). He totally has more clothes than me and my OH put together!

Just told work officially that I am leaving on 14th July and starting mat leave on 31st! Eek seems too real now. That's only 8.5 weeks left at work!

Really disappointed about letting you go over. I'm being consultant lead and having growth scans, so I hope they'll let me.have her earlier. I have bad anxiety with pregnancy now, I was having panic attacks at the start of this one and I'll be worried about her dying if I go over which will bring more panic attacks. Will have to speak to my midwife about it.

Also about clothes, are you supposed to buy tiny baby, first size, newborn and 0-1? X

Miss Charli - Team Blue please lovely :) yay for mat leave date, bet you can't wait! BH are my mortal enemy, they give me pregnancy sweats! I get them for 20-30mins at a time, they make me so bloody warm. Your bump goes all funny shapes with them as you get bigger, they're the oddest things!

PB - Definitely talk to them about it, if just for your own peace of mind. Normal practice is to induce at 40+12 (so 41+5) because they don't like to let anyone go over 40+14 (42 weeks) as the placenta begins to fail after 40+14 (42 weeks). It's much safer to have baby that little bit later though so you know she's fully developed, than have her at 37-38 weeks where she may need a short stay in NICU as she's still very little (which is hopefully not the case for anyone). They won't induce before term unless there is a serious risk to yours or her health.

I totally understand your worry, I have extremely high anxiety and turn everything into a catastrophe, but you do have to put your trust in them that they know what they're doing. The growth scans will give them a good idea as to where she is in her development, so if she's growing nicely then they'll leave her to arrive on her own. That will be much less stressful on your body and hers, inductions are hard going and don't have a great chance of success with a first baby. I won't say try not to worry because that won't help, but try and do what you can to stay positive :hugs:

For clothes, I have a mixture of first size and 0-3. My babies are leggy little things, so first size has only ever really been for the first 4-6 weeks with them, but 0-3 absolutely drowns them in those first couple of weeks so I like having the smaller sizes. It depends on the size of you and your hubby I think.

Rose - Booooo for norovirus! I hope your DD doesn't get it, it's really done the rounds for you all and needs to bog off now!

Changed now kumber. That sounds so weird about the BH! I'll have to keep an eye out for them.

A girl at work brought her teeny baby in today, he's only 2.5 weeks old and still under 7lb! Had a lovely long cuddle and now I'm really excited for mine! :D he was lush!

Thanks chick, ohhh I do love a squishy new baby! It's so exciting to think that will be us soon!

I've never had a cuddle with such a little one before, but he was lovely and kept pulling such silly faces haha. Not long at all now!

Awh, you only have 12 weeks until it's your baby! :) exciting :p

I'm crippled today, painted our bedroom yesterday and woke up to sore legs like I've done a marathon just getting worse throughout the day. Aha. Also been bad with low blood pressure making me wanna faint everytime i stand up. Blahhh midwife on Thursday tho :) x

I know 12 weeks is nothing :shock::shock:

Ahh oh no I had that when I was decorating! I think we take on too much thinking that we can still cope and then our bodies are like hahaha no.

It isn't. The first 12 weeks flew by. Hope it flys by again aha.

I had so much energy yesterday tho, i couldn't keep still even trying to sleep after I felt wide awake. Oh my, never again lmao can barely walk up the stairs to the loo heh. X

I've just caught up ladies, wondered where you all were as the tri2 page automatically opened up for me! Can't believe there are only 12 weeks to go :)

My midwife fked up again :/ like I don't know why I seem to get problems... at our last appointment she said she booked me in for 10:15 tomorrow but I just had a text to remind me of it and it said 9 am so I called and they were snotty with me saying it's at 9 am... well I have proof because in my appointment section in my notes has her signature next to the appointment of 10:15 that she wrote in. Don't understand why they have to be rude about it...if I didn't call I would have turned up over an hour after my appointment time and would have to re book. Meh. X
