Question, can you tell the Drs you don't wanna go past 40 weeks? The thought makes me worry cos I read your placenta doesn't do as much after 40. Plus I'm already uncomfortable and just want her to be here safe and sound. I'm tired of worrying already and itll only get worse I think. X

I think you can say it but they won't induce you for that reason alone :/ Its safe up until 42 weeks and doing it naturally has better outcomes so I think that's why they leave you unless you have a medical reason. The placenta does reduce in function but not so much as to harm baby x

I know that at a lot of people I have spoken to up here have said that they are given a sweep at 39 weeks now and another 2 before 41 weeks and induced at 41 weeks. My friend is one of them who is getting induced next Sunday and she's only due tomorrow it's her first.

Hi everyone- I haven't spoken to any of you in agers but the time has just flown!!!!

I been busy doing the nursery and buying all sorts of lovely clothes I have clothes up to 18months which sounds crazy but I feel calm and all ready for him and possibly earning less money etc so I've spent abit now while I've got it!!

I hope you are all feeling fab,
Feel lots of movement morning and at bed time it's lovely, I don't want to move just feel him!

Couple of people say I look small so that's making me happy too as it's nice to have bump but not get too massive

Wow 18 months! I think we should maybe buy stuff in bigger sizes now, we have tonnes of little stuff.

The nursery looks so lovely mine is not quite finished still. Gotta paint the mural thing and the rug is on its way!

I weighed myself last night for the first time and I've put on about 13lb since my booking weight (which I think was too high cos she couldn't use the scales but I'm gonna go with that for now...). This was weighing myself in the evening after food etc so I'm pretty happy with that!

Awhh, do they act differently around you now? Mine usually sleeps but hubby and goes to him, now she's constantly curling up to me or lay next to my bump heh x

Not really! They are a little bit more cuddly maybe, but they've always been v friendly. I guess they can probably hear the HB though

How cute misscharli! Have you done any comparison photos from a few weeks back to now? I seem to have sprouted when looking even back to when I was 20 weeks which doesn't feel that long ago!

Loving the nursery! I wish I was that organised to have everything sorted and built! We just have it decorated and still need to get carpets and furniture.

This weekend my OH has felt him move so much he now sits and watch from the sofa and can see him kicking. Which seems to have come in loads compared to 2 weeks ago when he was like I think I've felt him haha

Ah looking good I feel like my bump is teeny compared to all of you though! I haven't done a comparison recently, but I might do one tomorrow. I should get OH to start taking pics.

I am feeling him loads now too, though he does have really quiet days as well. He does make my tummy twitch too haha. I think it's nice when our OHs start feeling it, cos I guess they must feel left out at this stage!

On Wednesday when I went to the midwife I measured exactly 26cm so what I should be apparently. You should definitely get OH to take photos each week because I think you can tell more because you are not at an angle 🙂 I'm just hopeless with selfies anyways haha 😂

I've read when they aren't moving much it means they are doing a lot of growing 🙂 It is, I think it must make it seem more real lol

I guess I am really organised....

You know what the nicest thing about the nursery is the smell!!

The baby clothes smell amazing in the wardrobe I'm not even sure why!!!

But I even have his christening out fit!!!
I'm just too excited about him!!!

Although I feel it's a comforting time- not to long to wait and not to soon to worry if that makes sense!!

Amazing how quickly our bodies are changing now.

What christening outfit did you go for Prrrfect? You certainly have been having fun.

I don't even have anywhere for baby to sleep yet. My friend is going to lend me her co-sleeper crib but I suppose I need something for downstairs as well.
After the experience with my daughter I would actually like to co-sleep from day 1. I know this is not recommended but I feel if you are breastfeeding and do so safely then I'm comfortable with it.
I think I will try the co-sleeper first thought. I might have a baby who will actually sleep in their own bed this time around.

Feeling absolutely wrecked tonight, the whole street got woken up last night at 0145 by a van that had parked on the end making a godawful din. It was like someone was pressing on the horn continually but 100 x louder! And of course they didn't come out to fix it either Not what we both needed for our first day back at work after a week off!

But on a more positive note we have just bought a new sofa (3 seat electric recliner!) which is being delivered in 9 weeks. Weird to think that I'll be on mat leave by then!! Decided I'm gonna leave on 14th July!
