August 2017 babies! The final thread!

I was smacked as a child, probably why I don't see the problem. I do like the idea of the naughty step though, my llittle sister has a naughty chair and it works well. Although not fun when I have to go and sit on it when I'm in trouble with her aha. I think I'll only smack her hand if she's done something crazy like life threatening. I think I'll feel bad... when I smack my dogs back end for jumping up to the sides or something I feel bad I have to love them after cos they look sad lmao.

The coil sounds nasty tbh. I'm happy with just condoms aha.
I'm 24! Can't believe I'll be a quarter of a century in Feb. Nope I refuse to accept it.

Haha PB you're making me feel old! I'm 34.
The coil is painful to have put in if you haven't had children but once item in there you don't feel it although the copper coil gives you much heavy painful periods but they were always shorter than my normal periods. The mirena coil is the hormone one which is why they don't give you the same problems but obviously I didn't want any hormones x

I'm 24 as well (for another 13 days!) ha :)

I definitely remember the naughty step being used when I was a kid!

Ah I don't know if I mind the hormones or not. I had really bad skin before getting pregnant, and apart from a week or 2 in tri 2 and this week it's been amazing (for me anyway). I don't want that to go back to being awful once I'm no longer pregnant. So will definitely need to take that into consideration.

I am dreading the whole contraception thing as me and the pill got on fine when I was younger but as I got older it had horrid effects on my moods and wasn't seeming to work. Which is why I originally came off it at 22 then I had my first baby my son at 23, and have never been on anything since but always used condoms. But in July last year one broke leading to my second pregnancy, which sadly I miscarried in August. After that we decided to try for this baby, and now it's nearly here I am starting to worry as to contraception as I am pretty much feeling that I am definitely done on the baby front. But I also don't want to mess up supply for breastfeeding. Oh the decisions haha.
I am 25 just now 26 in October so around the same age :)
Hope h4h is having baby cuddles and everything has gone well xxx

I'm 34 too and feel really old for a first time mum
X

Oh a good sorta clump of ages then, that's good. I always feel like I'm really young, though I know 24 isn't that young haha. Idk why. Probably cos I'm short too :P

Wow I've missed so much today! Today I have manly rested and slept! I'm learning slowly to rest and not push myself haha.

Rose personally I wouldn't go if you feel like you should be going because that's what everyone else thinks and you don't want to go just say you had a word with your midwife and they have advised that you don't travel due to how you are at the moment.

I understand how everyon feels about being given set dates when baby is allowed to come! My OH's family goes away on Saturday in the caravan for 2 weeks and they have already said they won't come back home early if he is born while they are away so I'm just hoping arrives while they are away as it will be a whole lot less stressful as his mother likes to control everything!

PB I don't know how you kept your cool with your mil I really just want to punch her in the face! If a blanket has been made for the baby it should go with the baby not be left somewhere it won't get as much use out of it! I would honestly flip out also if when you go to visit and they change her because they don't approve of the outfit she has on. How dare they decide what she can and can't wear! She is only little and should be comfortable not in stiff little outfits!

H4R I hope you have had baby now, I can't believe they didn't let you have a drink all that time! I would be parched!

I haven't thought about contraception yet I think it will most likely be the coil though as my doctors wouldn't let me have it until I had a baby so hopefully they will let me have it now as I don't trust the pill!

I'm 23 also. :)

Girls we have a baby!!! 7 lbs 2 oz, little Vangeli, born @16:46.
Drs were annoyed I wasn't given any water as they had instructed I could have some but nobody bothered to let me know!

They took samples of the mass to send for biopsy, but couldn't remove it as it was too attached so they'd risk severe haemorrhage / losing the womb.

Baby latched straight away and have been doing skin to skin since he was born. I can't tell if he is indeed feeding or not, so so hoping that BFing works out xx

Eee that's fab news H4R!!! Congratulations and sounds like the doctor will be having a word with the staff I can't believe they messed up and you were allowed water. What a fab weight and that he has latched on straight away!

Fingers crossed for you that the results come back quick and alright on the biopsy. :)

Aww congrats H4R! Hope you both are doing well and the biopsy comes back fine xx

Congratulations H4R.
Must be so wonderful to be holding your baby.
Love his name.
I hope you've had a good night.
I've heard the recovery from an elective c section is much better than emergency so hopefully you won't be in hospital for too long.

Xxx

Congratulations h4r! Hope you recover easy and can be sent home!
Yay don't forget a pic when you can pleaseee :) x

Huge congratulations h4r!!!! Can't wait to see a picture. Great news he's latching well and fx for quick and positive results on the biopsy x

Two babies already! Xx

My belly button has gone back to normal! Hopefully means baby had dropped heh. Been using my birthing ball. X

So I've decided to go to York. I'll be kicking myself if I actually did go into labour but it's fairly unlikely having gone to term with two previous babies. So I've booked myself a wheelchair to use at the wildlife park we will visit on Friday and we've agreed to go home on the Sunday so it isn't quite as long away. Now I just have the hassle of packing for everyone :( x

Hope all goes well with your trip. I still don't know how your going with the pain. Mine was so bad this morning I was crying it was so painful... the pain was even in my dream before I woke up aha.

Hope the trip goes okay lovely, make sure you get lots of rest and are looked after while you are there.

Just back from my midwife appointment, she has given me a pack so that I can start to express colostrum for when he is born if his bloods are low x

PB - try and rest as much as possible and don't over do it. Won't be long and the pain will have gone and your baby will be here x
