•••November mummies 2016 - welcome to Tri 2•••

Hi Prettypea, I lurk every day but tend not to post, goodness knows why! I hope your cold clears up soon! I'm okay my hips/pelvis are in pieces by the evening/lunchtime if at work.

I have a gender scan a week today and I'm so so excited! Good luck for your scan. Are you finding out whether it's a boy or girl or staying team yellow?
Xxx

Hi everyone.
I'm 18 weeks tomorrow, where has that gone? Scan in 2 weeks and we are staying team yellow.
I had a horrible sickness bug last week which seemed to bring the morning sickness back. Just starting to get back to normal now.
Still feeling very tired but I think the night shifts are taking their toll.
Hope everyone is ok x

My hip is terrible too, by the evening I really struggle. Hoping it doesn't get worse as spd doesn't sound fun. Have you spoken to midwife about it?

Do you have an inkling either way?

I'm finding out :) have a girl at home of 14 months, I think id like another girl but for some reason I keep saying he! So maybe it's a boy?! Wouldn't be disappointed if it is a boy though!

I'm scared how quickly it's going - we are so far from ready and the times dissappearing away. It felt a lot slower first time around!

Done much purchasing?

Hey :-)

I agree it seems to be quiet haha!

I have my 20 week (well I'll be 18w6d) a week tomorrow.

I'm feeling rubbish at the minute. Crying all the time and just feel down. I have no idea why!

I'm feeling really emotional at the moment as well Beeee. I spent a full day on holiday crying because I missed my sofa (I kid you bloody not!!!!). Think it was a number of things (all inclusive not being great, not feeling her move as much at times, being tired, burning myself like a rotisserie chicken), but for some reason my sofa really brought it all out in me!!! Crazy.

Apart from that all good here - got our 20 week scan Wednesday - it's gone so quickly since the 12 week scan!! How's everyone doing weight wise? I've out on 10lbs as I never lost anything to begin with like lots of you due to no sickness. Don't really want to out on more than 2 and 1/2 stone all together (know it's not the main thing but I'm trying to be as good as I can!!).

Had to stop spending on clothes as well - got 3 boxes full so far - whoops!!! Xx

Beeee, I'm super emotional. I was watching disneys zootopia and cried loads at pathetic things. First I cried because mum and dad told baby bunny not to bother dreaming about things, then bunny gets treated unfairly by bigger police officers, then when she makes friends with a fox... Im terrible.

Can't believe it's your scan already millers! I'm not allowed to buy anything yet :( although don't need much really as got it all In spare room from last time. Trying to plan nursary but have no idea what sleeping arrangements will be until baby is here! I love thinking baby though. Got both my baby shopping list and hospital bag list all ready and will start buying hopefully at the end of this month!

Aww I'm glad it's not just me. I googled it (bad idea) and it was talking about antenatal depression and all sorts!

In regards to weight - I've lost a stone since being pregnant but haven't weighed myself recently so I'll do that tomorrow.

We've bought almost everything apart from baby monitors, changing bag and few other bits and pieces. We've definitely bought far too many clothes so I'm on a ban unless I'm buying clothes 3-6 +.

Also looking at starting to buy bits for my hospital bag. Do any of you ladies that have had a previous baby recommend a certain brand of maternity pads or any other essentials? Xx

Def not experiencing the emotional symptoms. I'm really not a cryer normally so don't know if that makes any difference.

So far buying wise iv got some clothes, and wee teddies. That's it heehee.

I have pretty much decided on a pram and the nursery furniture tho, just not ordered it yet.

So exciting choosing everything x

I know - it's crazy how quickly the last few weeks have gone!!! I'm willing pregnancy to slow down so that I can savour it. We've not bought any "big" things yet - going to start clearing the spare room in prep for OH to start decorating. My mum has very kindly offered to but is the furniture bless her. We aren't going crazy with decorating as she won't take any notice!!! Just having a very light neutral colour - plus we are hoping to move next year.

I've also started looking at hypnobirthing classes - think I'm going to them instead it NCT as I'm wanting to try hypno. I've had hypnotherapy and reiki after our miscarriages as tests came back that nothing was causing them, just not the right eggs. So I started alternative therapies and the following month I was pregnant! So I'm a bit of a believer I suppose xx

Just spoken with my midwife and she has issued my MATB1 certificate this morning ready for me to collect today. Got my one to one with my manager in Thursday so can get my maternity leave sorted!!!! So so scary but my manager (who has been amazing!) is currently on a secondment and is leaving next week and we are recruiting a new manager so will be fab to get this all in place before he goes and not be having to wait about for someone else xx

Goodness you're so organised, I haven't bought a single thing. Trouble is though, we are waiting to be accepted on a mortgage currently so hoping to be moved by the time baby comes. So, all being well we will buy once moved. saves moving it twice x

I know! Im never usually this organised I swear! haha. We are starting decorating in July though - I'm excited to get his furniture delivered in August so I can start organising his clothes etc!

When did you ladies start feeling movements?

I started at 16 weeks, I wasn't expecting it to be that soon!

I have been getting movements, flutters from around 11 and half weeks but this is my second, I have a 2 year old. The movements are getting stronger since last week, I think i can feel them rolling over inside. Sort of feels like when you go over a bridge fast in the car and you get that "tummy tickle" haha xx

I thought I felt something at just over 14 weeks. Was like a couple of very light taps.

Absolutely nothing since tho so think I was probably mistaken x

I've been reading the thread often but find at the end of the day I just don't have any energy left to post. it's good reading all your posts and knowing what everyone is going through - hoping being emotional passes me by.

The nausea seems to have past which i'm thankful for but still suffering aches and pains - dread to think how my body will hold up (or fall apart) over the next months.

I got brave last week (and the fact that I've stopped sucking my belly in so getting hard to hide) and told my work colleagues and clients last week about the pregnancy and everyone has been lovely with well wishes. But now it is so public I feel so vulnerable as if I loose this baby as well everyone will know, its also been nearly 3 weeks since I had proof that my little rainbow was ok so that has me on edge a little - it doesn't seem long but I've been used to every 2 weeks having a scan that 3 weeks seems like an eternity. I have my midwife appointment on Wednesday (17weeks) so hoping she will listen to the heart beat then. I have a Doppler and I think I hear the heart beat but i'm worried i'm getting confused with my heart beat. I have my 20 week scan in 3 weeks and then will start buying baby things but have been picking up a few small bits here and there.

on the good side I think I felt my first flutters on Sunday - it was a lovely water bubble like feeling in my lower tummy. But haven't felt anything since - which I know is not unusual - which makes me think I imagined it, can't wait until the movement is more regular.

Haha I get this feeling too! I get worried when he doesn't move though

Ahhh my phone keeps missing out half my post!

When do we have to start "tracking" babys movements?

Girls I have a question about waistline/bump

My trousers are getting quite tight now and I def have a mini bump forming so I decided to have a wee look around the shops today at new bras/stretchy trousers etc.

But everything I tried on looked hideous!! I was so upset. Then to make matters worse, I saw at least 3 heavily pregnant ladies with normal trousers on and a bump sticking over the waist band.

How are trousers not sitting below my bump like there's? Does ur bump lift up as it grows?

Can anyone reassure me that I won't just look like a frump for the next 5 months :-(

I'm normally a size 8 so this is really getting to me (petty and silly I know)
