•••November mummies 2016 - welcome to Tri 2•••

Sparkles - I've started showing too but I'm inbetween with maternity trousers and normal ones...maternity are too big and baggy! But I got maternity leggings from matalan (online) for £9 and they're a godsend! They go over my bump and I look lovely and pregnant with a tighter top ;)

Not silly at all - I'm also small and was struggling with weight and my bump looking more like an extra tyre...but now it's getting more obvious it's a baby and not just that I might've eaten too many pies ;) xx

I'm exactly the same with clothes - and totally agree with you about maternity leggings!!! They are seriously comfortable and make bump look so cute! I've got 2 pairs of maternity jeans but they are a bit big at the mo - had to buy size 16's as 14's fitted well so wouldn't have lasted.

We have a wedding in 2 weeks and I'm at an awkward stage so wanting a dress that's under the bust flare type dress to wear with leggings - maternity dresses are too long at the front because bump isn't that big as yet xx

Thanks sharcaz. Do you think bumps do rise as they grow?

I just can't work out how those women had normal jeans on and this gorgeous bump poking out above.

I was totally staring, hope they never noticed haha

Thanks millersmisses

Sharing fears etc with you guys def helps.

Honestly with the nausea, vomiting and everything else iv been so miserable most of the time.

I'd always really looked forward to pregnancy and so far iv been sorely disappointed

Ps. Sorry for the 'poor me'. Today has not been a good day. Topped off with just seeing my dinner in reverse **sigh**

Don't apologise at all Hun - we're here to sound off at!! I don't know how some women do it either - I've never been super skinny, always had a bit of a belly anyway and my bump has a bit of a droop which isn't pretty! Big hugs xxx

Sparkles...I have no idea on the rising side of things...I would've thought so as the uterus rises out of the pelvis completely and pushes everything up :)

Millersmissus - no way!! we also have a family wedding mid July and I'm holding out to buy a dress to see where my bump's at haha! Also going for a maxi dress with a flare from the bust so it doesn't matter if bumps a bit bigger!

Maternity leggings/jeggings all the way!! :D xx

I look like a space hopper in a maxi dress - I feel far far too short and chunky for them!! I'm off shopping tomorrow for something with OH - but yeah maternity dresses are longer at the front so I have to lean back to make it look straight hahahaha!!! Xx

Hahaha Oh no I haven't actually tried any on yet so don't know what I'll look like! Good luck tomorrow!! xx

Just out of the bath and my hips and back haven't felt so good for weeks - I may just spend my pregnancy in the bath the relief was that good.

I'm lucky that I've been able to wear my normal clothes and will probably get away with it for quite a while. A stable in my wardrobe is leggings with dresses over the top - very comfy as my waist is expanding and something that is available in normal clothes shops - I hate the idea of having to buy maternity clothes online as what looks good in a catalogue doesn't always look good on.

I'm struggling for work wear at the moment, I'm inly potentially going to be working for 5 more weeks after this week so don't want to be buying expensive trousers etc for work in case I don't get the job I've applied for! I have an interview Friday and I'm so nervous! Also seeing the midwife Thursday and quite looking forward to it as I'm supposed to be going on school camp next week but dreading it with the way my hips and pelvis are at the moment xxx

I wasn't s cryer before my daughter now I get set off a lot.

Maternity pads are all very similar. I just got the mothercare ones in deal, you need a lot as you will bleed for heavily and for a couple weeks. I had 3 packs of them and took a handful to hospital (with spare in the car!) the hospital bag list is pretty straight forward, a couple of loose nightdresses for birth and after (nursing ones are better). Clothes with easy Boob access. Big knickers, black is best, socks, some drinks /straws, some easy to eat snacks and some jellybeans or something to help with energy. Travel size toiletries including dry shampoo and deodorant. a Flannel. Hairbands. I had a waterspray fan, bikini... Then there's the baby bag and I suggest for daddy an ipad fully loaded with a boxset of his choice! Nearer the time I'll share my list!

I loved my nct classes ad made friends for life that really helped me through maternity. Nice meeting people at the same stage in life as us :)

My maternity jeans from mothercare go above and below nicely. the bump looks less frumpy by 25 weeks. Then it's big enough to carry off the clothes :) Its annoyingly that most stores don't stock their maternity ranges in store :( leggings are great...

I wouldn't say the bump rises much, the uterus does grow higher though which pushes top of belly out more... I can't remember even though it wasn't long ago!

Baths help with my hip, feel.like an oap most of the night!

Feel better soon everyone with sickness! Xx

H&M do maternity stuff in store! Expensive but I tried some on and they're really lovely! Xxx

Bigger new look stores have maternity clothes in as well. The Meadowhall branch does so check with your local stores xx

Thank you!

My bump over the last couple of days has gone rock hard and is quite tender from my belly button downwards. I'm not sure whether this is normal or not and whether an appointment with e midwife would be wasting her time or not. I didn't expect discomfort this soon I suppose - do you see anyone after the 20 week scan does anyone know to talk to? X

I have a very similar sounding thing going on! I saw the midwife today and i showed her...i did a slight sit up and theres a small protrusion below my belly button downwards. She said its where the abs part a little to make way for baby and is very common...and the tenderness is the ligaments inbetween stretching. But if you're worried no harm getting it checked anyway :D xx

You should have another midwife appointment around 24weeks. That's when mine is? Have you got a guideline in the back of your mat notes for midwife appointments/scans etcetc? X

Yeah, I've got one booked in at 25 weeks so next month.

That's reassured me Sharcaz though - thank you!!! I suppose I keep forgetting how big she is getting now - she's not a tiny little blob in a screen anymore!!! Thank you xx
