Have you had any signs of labour starting?
Ive got 25 days until my due date. I feel really achy in my groin and back and bending forward is really difficult. I’m so tired as well!

No, no signs. I’m 38 weeks tomorrow so maybe I may feel something then. I get the odd pain at night in my pelvic area but that’s about it.

Sounds super cute.

I'm feeling really good at the moment. Seem to get abit achey in the evening but that's probably from standing all day at work. 23 shifts left at work till mat leave, not that I'm counting or anything Haha

Had my 28 week midwife appt today, baby is head down which I hope she stays lol and I'm measuring spot on for where I should be :) so all Is well at the moment.

How are you?

Oh, good on you for standing all day! I’m sore and achey standing for 10 mins waiting for a bus! I’ve been going pretty well thanks! I’m a bit sore and achey too, but I have also been too busy to keep up my stretches and exercise which is probably making it worse...

You’ve inspired my count down now! I’m part time, so I have 24 days to go, but working til 37 weeks - so shall be interesting!

Glad your appt went well! :)

I’ve a very achy back again today and uncomfortable. I’ve been to the toilet 5 times today normally I don’t go 5 times in a week!! Wondering if my body is preparing for baby’s arrival. I’ve felt a little sickly too.
I don’t like the waiting and wondering part of pregnancy!
Not long for you all finishing work :)

Oh wow, sounds like things are changing inside for you! Sounds like the waiting around for potential labour can be a bit stressful!

I wish I could finish up work now! I’m definitely craving some rest and down time already!

Just finished my antenatal classes. All very interesting, but also will probably forget a lot by the time baby comes!

Pupperino the waiting bit wasn’t too stressful with my first but it all happened after my due date from what I can remember. This time I seem to be having signs my body’s preparing earlier.

Which antenatal classes did you do? Did you find them helpful? I havnt done any this time with it being my second.

I’m not getting much rest with a 4 year old and a house to keep, prob should try get a little more rest!

Just wanted to see if anyone else is suffering from what I've got at the moment...

For the past 3 days the top of my right thigh has been slightly numb and every now and then i get a tingly sensation and it feels like stinging. My nurse told me it's more than likely baby on a nerve but its constant so not sure what to think

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum...just hit 30 weeks and looking for a little support and basically to just be able to know what other expectant mothers are going through

Interesting! I have had a feeling that mine will be late, and my mum said I was 3 weeks late lol ... so I don’t think I would get too stressed until after the due date, but who knows!

I guess second time round your body knows what’s going down and hopefully your labour will be shorter and less painful! Definitely get some rest if you can x

I did a 2 day course at my local hospital called Having a Baby run by a midwife and physio that went through the labour process, breastfeeding and the first 2 weeks after baby is born. It was alright, but I wouldn’t do it again for subsequent pregnancies. I have educated myself pretty well and have lots of books and google available for stuff, so I didn’t learn anything ground breaking :)

Hmm, no I haven’t had that - but it definitely sounds nervy (e.g. numbness and tingling). Sounds unpleasant :( hope bub gets off that nerve soon... does it get better if you change your sleeping position or anything? x

I’ve not experienced this but it does sound like it could be a nerve. Hope it passes for you soon

Hi ladies, just wondering if you mind me joining you? I’m due October 3rd and expecting a little lady <3 This is our first baby and couldn’t be any more excited! I’m now 33+4 days and the realisation that I’m going to have to go through labour is really starting to hit home now. Any one been through it and have any advice because I’m already petrified hah?!?

Welcome :) I've put you up on the front page!

I haven't been through labour either, but I know that changing your mindset toward it will be very important! It is pretty daunting and the unknown is so hard! Hopefully you get some ideas from others that have been through it x

It really isn't comfortable but luckily it has eased up within the last day or so. It seems to be all the time, I've been researching it and I think I've found what it could be and according to what I've read it won't disappear until after birth, oh the joy lol

I’m expecting my second I’m 37+1
In terms of labour I had such a positive experience, I had written a birth plan and it went to plan I was very lucky. From my first pain at home to my daughter been born was 3 hours 11minutes! I lost my mucas plug in the night when I went to the toilet and my contractions started pretty much straight away and just got more intense.

I had hired a tens machine from the hospital which definitely helped. I didn’t want pain relief just gas and air but I had looked into other types of pain relief just so I knew what was available if I needed. I only ended up using gas and air.
I had a water birth which is what I was hoping for.

I would say the most important thing for me was thinking positive this definitely helped me stay in control. And to make sure your birth partner knows what you want because if my husband hadn’t told them to fill the birthing pool I wouldn’t have had my water birth- the midwifes said I wouldn’t have time to get in. But luckily my husband put his foot down and said to fill it up! Think if he hadn’t said that I would have lost control and felt I couldn’t do it

You’ve carried a baby for 9 months you can definitely get through labour!

No change for me, although sleeping comfortably is now a nightmare :???:

I had a 4d scan this morning, it was amazing. 8 weeks 4 days left until due date, cannot wait to meet her even more now <3

How are you pupperino?

Oh wow how precious!! I was actually just talking with my DH about a 3D scan... But I have a regular scan on Wednesday, so that will just have to do. Plus my DH said you’ll get to see the 3D version of the baby when it’s born  lol.

I’m doing fine! Just battling though some heartburn at the moment! Have my baby shower tomorrow - so will have a busy day getting my hair done and organising last minute things <3 x
