[TTC no2]

20 week scan went great. Baby is lovely and healthy. Thank god.

I did ask about sex and whether she would write it down for me. She said she would put it on poly pocket and place it in it so I couldn't see.
After she came back with my folder I wanted to check make sure it was there before left. But it wasnt. She had already gone back to xray dep. And as I wanted to wait till got home to look with everyone else and never looked at the potty shot for too long so we are still team yellow.

Oh what a shame about the gender, i would have been upset about that and hunted her down haha! xx

I dont really mind at all. But my girlie and OH were so excited to know. I may look at the gender scan in coming weeks.

I did have quick look when she was looking and I dont think I seen any boy bits so could be another girl.

Aww TTCno2 what fab pictures, what a shame the sonographer forgot to put the note with the gender on in your notes.

Thank you for the support ladies, we had a good “learning” day yesterday, not so much today lol

Amy, I just looked at my posts from my last pregnancy with my 3rd boy and although I thought I felt movement at 14wks I wasn't 100% sure about any of them til I was 19/20 weeks, so we are still early. I had an anterior placenta too which can cushion the movements so could be the case this time too.

Got my 16w appt this morning. The mw phoned yesterday to confirm that while it didn't have to be face-to-face they were happy to do it and let me hear the hb. So pleased by that. Fingers crossed everything is ok and this will get me through the next 3 weeks until I get my 20w scan. Arrggghhhhh, scared

Hey hun, all good here thank you. Staying home and going on daily walks but it’s starting to annoy me now. I can’t wait for normality. I want to show off my bump to the world. But I just have to remind myself as long as we are healthy that’s all that matters.

Glad everything is going well for you. How have your scans been? I totally understand you wanting to show off your bump. I bet its so frustrating but atleast youre getting out on a daily walk even if you cant show off your bump as much as youd like too.

We're all good thank you. Its nice having my husband here aswell to spend more time with little Connie. Cant believe shes 7 weeks on Saturday! Not looking forward to her dreaded jabs at 8 weeks and ive already been told only one person allowed so both of us cant go in
looks like another 3 weeks of this as well xx

Hey ladies, thanks for the messages. Appt went well and I can confirm the baby is still in there . Hb was galloping away at 160. Mw was running a bit late but just meant I got some time out of the house, in the sunshine and on my own. Bliss.

Hearing the hb should hopefully get me through the next 3 weeks until my scan.

Jenny and Amy I'm glad your appts went well today and you got to hear babys heartbeat, it really is a magical sound. I got a text message today saying my mw appt on monday is now a telephone appt only. Which in some ways is easier as I don't have anyone to watch my boys and I planned it for being the 1st day back after the Easter hols lol Luckily I do get to hear babys heartbeat at home with my doppler so not missing out on too much really.

Glad the MW appointments all went well girls

Ugh I've been getting headaches yestrday and today. I just dont feel like doing much at all. I've had to take paracetamol yestrday and I might have to do same today. I try to avoid them best I can.

TTCno2, the headaches are the worst, I kept getting them too. I was in bed all day last Saturday with one as they really wipe me out, luckily it was the weekend and hubby was home. Hope you feel better soon

TTC I've been getting headaches constantly throughout. I didn't want to take paracetamol at the beginning, but now have to. I try to take 1 instead of 2 first to see if that takes the edge off. It usually helps. I mentioned it to the mw yesterday and she said to take as much as I want (obvs within the limits ) and that I shouldn't suffer as paracetamol is fine. But I know what you mean, it feels wrong.

I asked her about the whooping cough vaccine and she said that while we can have it from 16w we can get it at any point up to the birth. She also said that some hosps are offering with the 20w scan. I'll wait til my scan on the 6th May and see if they offer it. If not I'll see what the government say about the lockdown on 7th. Would be easier to wait a bit and have it when things aren't so locked down and it's easier to get to appts or have childcare
