**September 2020 Mummies**

From what my friend said it just wouldn’t be practical/possible to have that section useable like that.

I think for me I would rather have a way of separating them for safety, if you’ve got a side up you know your own duvet can’t slip in there for example. But also I know from experience it’s very difficult to get a child out of the habit of being in your bed and I feel like if from the start I could have them in this but with a side up they wouldn’t get too used to being right next to me. It took me 2 years to get my youngest to be on with in a cot and I don’t want to go go through that again if I can help it!

I had a bednest last time. It just lay flat on the bed or back up with a safety hook kinda thing (I cant mind the mechanism) but I know what u mean. My son was in my bed for a couple off years.. My OH went to spare bed. Hard work getting him to sleep on his own.

Hey, just a quick question on movement. When did you guys start to feel regular movement in 2nd pregnancies? I'm 16w tomorrow and think I've felt some movement, but nothing much, or that I'm really sure about. I'm sure all is fine, but obvs I'm worrying because it's just what this whole 9 months seems to be about .

I'm seeing the mw on Thursday so will hopefully get some reassurance then, but was just wondering x

@AmyThomas I'm 19 weeks and my movements are in no pattern. They come here and there. Still very early I think for us to have any pattern. My little taps are getting stronger however and little more than previous weeks. To day my son has his hand on my tummy after I felt movement and he felt it too.
Try not worry. Easier said than done but give it few more weeks x

My midwife said on the phone at 16 week appointment that they advise that after 24 weeks is when you should have a normal pattern of movement and that any change after that should be reported. From experience I would say that sounds about right. I think I was 28 weeks with my third when I went in for reduced movements with him for the first time (he was a pest and I was in about 6 times being checked with him) x

Happy Easter everyone my plan is to be chilling with the kids all day long with Netflix and Disney+ and enjoy some easter eggs.

Thanks TTC and Rose. I know it's really early so I'm trying to not think about it. But that's easier said then done and I'm getting impatient. I hate the wait from 12w scan to 20w scan, well actually I hate all the waiting parts :D. Was supposed to have a private scan next week, so annoying it got cancelled. I

I'll just wait out for the mw on Thursday and then give it a few more weeks for movement

Hope you're all having a great Easter weekend. We've done the egg hunt and now just chilling. DD has said she's happy to share her eggs with the baby, so yay for me

Hey ladies! So sorry I’ve been quiet! Not sure how I have less time to come on here in lockdown! Maybe coz I’ve lost my commuting time!

@AmyThomas - I’m same as you with the movement. It’s been so great to feel it so early for reassurance but now feel like I worry if I haven’t noticed it for most of a
day. But seems to squiggle quite a bit after
I eat but definitely no pattern.

16 weeks yest, MW appt on Thursday. Still face to face at the moment which I’m pleased about. Although will be first time I’ve been “out” for a month, except for daily walk with husband & son!

Must be some 20 week scans coming up soon?? Huge milestone, I hope to get excited about this baby once mine has passed. Still waiting to tell my son, he turned 4 this week. Weirdly he mentioned the baby we lost the other day having not done so for about 8 months...he was just like “hey mummy, remember when there was a baby in your tummy but then they were poorly and went to live in the clouds??” I was totally bowled over and didn’t know what to say. Maybe he has picked up on more than we think.

Hope you are all feeling well and coping in the lockdown x

I swear kids have a 6th sense. Mine kept mentioning baby before we told them.
How lovely though he spoke about the little one u lost. As hard as it can be at times I think it's great to keep the memory alive. I get questions about their sister.

My 20 week scan is on Wednesday I cant wait to get it over with. It's at 11am so thankfully I wont be waiting around too long.

That’s exciting TTC! I’ve still got another 2 and a half weeks until mine and time is going so slowly!

I also seem busier since lockdown because I have all 3 children at home to amuse and less quiet time to myself as we are basically doing something all day. I am using the time to finish off jobs in our house that I haven’t quite got round to. Bit of background: we bought an Edwardian house in Dec 2015 when my first was 12 months and I was 6 months pregnant with number 2. It was a real fixer upper because the lady who owned it had died and it had lay empty a year and clearly hadn’t been decorated since the late 70s. So we’ve been working our way through room but room. Apart from the bathroom the upstairs is done and 3 of the rooms downstairs (kitchen, toilet and living room down there still to do) and it has all been DIY by me. So I have this tendency to do about 97% of the work on the room and then move on to the next project and leave silly little jobs, like hemming the curtains or touching up a bit of paint. I’ve made myself a list of 30 annoying little jobs I haven’t done in the house and am working my way through the list, I’ve ticked off 2 and a half this week. And we are also spending around 2 hours in the garden a day so I’m tackling that too as it’s a huge job to keep on top of and also bits of that need renovating, eg a deck that was half built when we moved in. Got to keep myself busy or I think I’d go mad!

hope everyone is feeling good! X

Oh god Rose u are flat out.. that's sounds alot off work and fair play to you. I still have things to do to this house aswel after moving in. I will try tackle some this week before kids get back to school work next week.

I feel my bump has been really exploding out this past week. Like it's a shocker to the OH lol.. I've went ahead and started to order some new maternity bits that I need. Anyone recommend some decent leggings just to have. Im trying to avoid over the bump. With decent fabric that isnt too light should I have to bend over no one should see through the fabric. Cos that would be a pretty sight

Funnily enough I just got all my maternity clothes and went through them. I have a huge amount that I won’t ever wear (dresses I wore for work in my first pregnancy) and things I can’t wear because I’m bigger now and they are too small which is super depressing! But mostly it’s still ok and I’m fortunate that baby number 3 was due the end of August so I’m due only 3 weeks after that this time which means I have all the right season of things.

I don’t wear leggings really anymore but I did have H&M ones although they were over jump x

I'm defo more a jean type of girl and I do love my summer dresses . This is my first time being pregnant over summer so I def need few things. I hope the stuff I bought look ok on. I seen a beautiful dress on asos... trying to get few things I can nurse in aswel.

@JennyS85 - how cute that your little boy remembered the child you lost. I agree with @TTC no2 that children have a sixth sense. <3 hope your 16 week appointment goes well xx

@TTC no2 - how exciting for your scan on Wednesday. Are you finding out the gender?! Mine is the 23rd. Although I really do look pregnant now I still panic that something might not be right in there. I haven’t felt constant movement yet, I think I only felt baby once or maybe I didn’t. I know with 1st baby it takes a little longer. Just praying everything is ok. Good luck for Wednesday. Xx

@Rose83 - rose your like the diy super queen by the sounds of it. Good on you though. I do like diy myself actually. I wanted to redecorate the kitchen while in lockdown but can’t seem to get the paint I need etc. Hope you get your list done but stay safe at the same time xx

regarding maternity wear @TTC no2 i for some jeans and leggings from Dorothy Perkins online they other day. They have a sale on. Over the bump though but they do under the bump xx

hope you all had a good Easter xxx

Hello ladies hope you are all doing ok. I’m off for my 20 week scan today I’m excited but not at the same time as it will be weird to have to go in on my own but at least I get to see bubba it will be weird going into a hospital with all this virus going on

@angel babe best off luck at ur scan today. Let us know how u get on.

@chattychar1990 thanks I will look at dorothy perkins. I have over the bump maternity Jean's but finding them annoying as my bump isnt just big enough to keep them up yet.
Really indecisive about finding out the gender. Will have to discuss it this evening. I personally dont mind waiting till baby in born to find out but as a family I think I will be out numbered and they will want to know.

Yes its def true about feeling ur first baby a little later. Wont be long till ur getting all those kicks more frequently.

Hey ladies, I’ve also been awol for a long time, I have been struggling quite a bit with this whole lockdown. I struggle with anxiety and depression anyway but this has made it worse, not by being worried too much about the actual virus but by just how much it affects routine. Doing school work is near on impossible with having 2 to “teach” at completely different levels as Harry is year 3 and James year R so occupying and completely stuff is so difficult that I end up stressed and shouting and that’s not good for any of us. So generally avoided doing school stuff and then I feel guilty that they are on iPads, switch and PS4 all day, with the odd bit of playing outside and with other toys.

I’m 16+4weeks with my 4th baby and I can’t say for sure if I have felt anything yet. I have been a bit worried as I had felt all my others by now, but I can find the heartbeat on my doppler so know baby is growing ok in there. Can’t wait to start to feel something though.

Rose I don’t know how you have the energy and motivation to do all that diy, I just look at all the stuff I need to do and just think, yeah I can do that tomorrow! Only tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet lol

Hope your scan went well today Angelbabe, and good luck for your scan tomorrow TTCno2. Will be excited to see if you stay team yellow or not. I think we are going to find out, but I’m so sure I will be hearing boy again! Although Harry and James want a sister and Alfie wants another brother so we could end up with tears when I tell them. Scan is 30th Apr so not too long to wait.

Hey ladies, sorry I keep disappearing. This site is really bad for me at updating and letting me know there are new messages. It shows nothing and then, BOOM!

hope the scan went well angel babe. Did you find out what you are having? TTC is it your scan today? I'm a bit confused by what week and day it is, haha! If so I hope all goes well and you get to see loads.

Rose you sound like a diy superstar. I love planning diy stuff (but make DH do it). Unfortunately/fortunately ours is all done now that we've done DDs new bedroom. I wanted to get the house on the market early next year as I'm fed up with ours and the lack of downstairs space (4 double bedrooms but it's a townhouse so had a small footprint) and neighbours who park like idiots. But I suppose it depends what happens to the market after all this covid nightmare.

TTC I've got some jeggings on order from ASOS. I used them last time for my under the bump skinny jeans and loved them. Tried loads but found these to be the best. My black ones from last time are still fine but the blue ones have gone a bit baggy round the top. Will probably be ok again towards the end. Fortunately I was pregnant at the same time last time (this one is due 2 days before DD came) so I have clothes from the right time of year. I'll let you know how I get on when my order arrives later in the month.

chattychar, I'm not sure what movements I've felt. Every now and then I think I feel a poke, but it's done so quickly I can't be sure. And half the time my bump feels like it's gone and that it's just wobbly. I really hope my mw listens to the hb tomorrow as I really need some reassurance. Last time I felt DD at about 19 weeks, so still got a few weeks til I get to that point, but really hoped I'd feel it earlier this time. These babies are just constant worry. Every time I voice these concerns to DH he just says 'everything will be fine, don't worry'. Least we have this group to share concerns with.

Kanga, just being at home with 2 and all surviving is amazing. Let alone adding pregnancy into the mix. I don't really need to teach DD and I'm still worried that I'm not developing her properly. Somedays I try and plan 'good' stuff but then I wake up and can't be bothered. Sorry you've not really felt anything, but I'm same dates as you so finding it reassuring to find someone else in the same boat.

@kanga86 - i am so sorry you are struggling. Having no routine is bloody hard isnt it. I take off my hat to all you mammas that are home schooling. It must be so hard. Sending you lots of love and positive vibes hun.

@AmyThomas - glad you are well lovely <3 x
