**September 2020 Mummies**

Congratulations @kanga86 <3
How exciting that your adding a little girl to your family.

How’s Hubby now with it all? xx

Can't get the photo to upload, but all is well with baby. Have to go back in 2 weeks to double check the heart as couldn't get everything today. It is a GIRL :pink: I actually can't believe it!
Woohooooo

@TTC no2 - I got my matb1 form when I was at my 20 week scan last Thursday as I had an appointment with the midwife straight after. What about you?!

I got a letter through the post today for a midwife appointment on the 6th August, would that be my last appointment before I give birth?! I was expecting the letter to be for my next scan, as they couldn’t get some measurements so she said I will have another scan in 2 weeks. It’s been a week and still no letter, should I chase them? Xx

Thank you everyone, I think I am in shock still! I actually can’t believe I’m getting a girl after 3 boys. The boys are over the moon too, as they really wanted a sister.

@MelC2011 hubby is still not thrilled by the baby at all, and just went meh when I said it was a girl. He though it was going to be another boy, but doesn’t seem to care either way. Hoping when baby is here he will be better and love her.

Im sorry your hubby is still acting that way :( It must be really hard for you him not showing any interest. I have no doubt that he wont love her when she is here though <3 xx

@chattychar1990 it is really hard that he is acting this way, was hoping having scans would help him bond but where he hasn't been able to go to any of them it has been so much easier for him to ignore and be so blase about it.

Anyone who has had their 20 week recently, did you have any pain after? The sonographer had to press quite hard to get some of the measurements and do the checks and it did hard but now I feel so bruised and sore. I am on the heavy size so have a chubby tummy so understand the scan could be more difficult but don't remember being in this much pain after any of my other scans.

I remember my tummy feeling sore after having my scan with X, I was chubby then too, doesn’t feel great but I guess they won’t do it if there was any chance it would harm the baby x

OMG Kanga!!! Amazing news for you! So happy you’re getting your girl! I’m sure it will take a while to sink in - I still can’t quite believe I’m having a girl after my two boys!

so sorry your husband is still acting that way :( it must feel awful that he is not interested. However in my experience daddy’s love their girls and as soon as she is born she’ll have him wrapped around her teeny tiny finger!

@kanga86 Yayy, congratulations on team pink! I don't remember after 20wk but after my 32wk scan last time I was quite sore for a couple of days. I think it's normal, esp if they have to push quite hard to get everything x

I think I will ring my GP today as I always got it from there. I need it now as soon approaching the date to have it in for.
I'll have to give MW a ring too.

As for ur app I would maybe give them a ring to see if they know anything. As I know the postie's are getting delayed with the amount off workload they've got. Just incase ur letter was mixed it up with all that

Off topic is anyone getting leg cramps at night. I've been getting them lately. They're bloody sore. I've havent been taken my prenatal vitamins every single day I wonder I'm I lacking something. Need to buy more off them.

So I rang and got Matb1 form sorted and my whooping vaccine. I've drive to the gp clinic stay in my car and get the vaccine.
Now only problem my OH cant come home from work. Do u think it will be ok to take the kids with me?

I can't believe we are in our 7th week of isolation! I'm on full pay during the lockdown which is great, but I am still losing out on money as I used to do loads of overtime to boost my pay, so my basic pay is pretty crap but I'm grateful to get it. It has messed up my maternity pay abit as now I wont earn enough to qualify for smp but I should be able to MA instead.

I am seeing my mw at 23wks to get my matb1 form. I have thought about when to take maternity leave but it is difficult to decide when to go on leave when I haven't worked since I was 6 weeks! I have no idea when I will be able to go back or how I will cope with it as I usually get spd and I don't know how bad it will get. I did look back at when I took leave in my previous pregnancies and I've gone off from 32/33 weeks using annual leave with maternity starting at 35/36 weeks.

Thankfully I don't feel as sore today from the scan, but it was horrible last night. Still feel like yesterday wasn't real. I'm glad I have another scan in 2 weeks so they can check the gender again.

@chattychar1990 you should have way more than one more appt with your mw. For 1st baby they say 25, 28, 31, 34, 36, 38 and 40 weeks. You skip 25 and 31 for 2nd or more pregnancies. I would chase up the scan, I got my appt straight after.

Glad you have got your matb1 and whooping jab sorted out. If the kids don’t need to get out of the car you should be okay. If not I’m sure you will only be in and out really quickly.

Yea it's all being done at my car.

Any idea what the sonographer wrote on my notes. I think it says She ?? Fetus what can yous make out?

Do you know what the sonographers name is? The letter he/she uses to sign in the middle of their name is the same as the first word. Are their any other examples of their handwriting on there?

I'm not sure what the S word is but the other two words look something like 'active fetus ' to me. Not sure though.

the S could be a really elaborate L to actually be Live active fetus? But I'm just guessing here.

great news on the vaccine and matb. I'm going to ring after my 20w scan to find out about getting mine sorted. Hopefully I'll get to pick up the form when I go for the jab, so save going out twice. Otherwise I won't see my midwife til 28w and I'm supposed to submit it by 25w.

anyone's lump feel really low. I have a hard lump really low, that I'm guessing is baby. Sometimes it feels really solid and achy. It's not Braxton hicks though (which I have felt and I know then that my bump goes rock hard). This just feels more solid and achy, with a bit of backache (but doesn't feel like a uti either)

Aha! It's single active fetus :) Good work Amy!

Yay we got there. That writing is crazy. You'd think they'd realise people will agonise over it. But I suppose they're busy
