I’m desperate to tell my close friends and family but have decided to wait until after our early scan which is on the 20th.

I'm still clueless as to when you have scans, but would love to do an early one if possible. Are you going private?

Yeah the hospital are scanning me at 5 weeks, 8 weeks and then I'm going to pay for one at 10 weeks I think. With my daughtsr I had them weekly pretty much till 16 weeks so it seems like hardly any scans this time . the clinic wrote to the gp to do scans at 5 weeks as I only have one tube so just to rule out ectopic for peace of mind then 8 weeks because of my history of miscarriages. I can't wait between 8 and 12 weeks though without being super anxious so will prob pay for one. Xxx

I would also love an early scan no idea how this works , as some people have a scan at 6 weeks too.

Usually they just do the dating scan unless there is a reason to scan earlier but can always get a private early scan

I’m not surprised your having lots of extra scans, after everything you’ve been through.

We’re paying for a private early scan. There’s no way I can wait until 12 weeks! xx

Aww lovely

Not 100% but think AF was due friday so 4+3. I wasn't really tracking properly this month as we were waiting for sperm analyses results back (before we could see clinic again we had to do repeat tests including sperm test which we thought was a waste of time as always been ok in past but turned out he had low motility! So i got him to do serums sperm improvement programme and we were waiting for repeat test results) and didnt really think it would happen as didnt expect them to of improved but we got them back just before bfp and his motility had gone from 22% to 47% and count improved hugely too! I guess I'll find out more exact dates at 5 week scan xx

That’s amazing his motility has improved that much.

Yay, how exciting.

Just realised I’m a fraud as actually due on 30th Aug eeek.
I forgot to adjust my cycle length as I only have a 24 day cycle!

My drs appointment is on the 8th I didn’t tell them what it was for they just gave me something to do a wee sample in.
Do I need to tell them before?

At our doctors you usually just call up and then they book you a midwife appointment unless there is any reasons for arranging earlier scan etc xx

In my area the doctor doesn’t confirm pregnancy.
The receptionist just give a number to self refer with the midwife who’ll arrange booking in appointment and 12 week scan xx

Yeah seems different everywhere so maybe call up and tell them before as you may not need doc appt? xx

Aw okay thanks. I went in to make an appt but she was very rude and I didn’t want to then tell her the reason ..so I might ring up tomorrow to just double check
