So sorry ti hear ur sad news Melly and Stellbert .
Ive not been on here for a while.
We got our 1st scan on mon and we cant wait although a little nervous too . Weve decided to have the test for.downs syndrome etc .
Im 12 weeks today and weve held off telling everyone until the scan . It will be.such a relief to be able to tell ppl ive brought some pregnancy announcement cards where.i shall glue a.copy.of scan pic in it too , i think this is a great way to compliment our announcement.

Ohh quick question me to it’s horrible even the thought of having to brush them gives you the fear ha. It is properly that as you have other kids as you say coming home from school ect. You must be exhausted haven 3 already and feeling as ill as you are. I only have one and I find it hard on days. She doesn’t know yet I wanted to wait till my scan to make sure everything’s ok first. I have my first scan 9th March. 2 weeks today. It’s dragging in. So fingers crossed all is well. I’d say I’m 8 weeks 2 days but to midwife I’m 10 weeks 2 days. So il see what the day at scan. Hope all goes well with your appointment. And you start feeling better soon. Can’t wait to see your scan pic x

I think we’ve decided to pay for a private scan before we go away. I’ll only be 11 weeks by then but I need the peace of mind. I’ve also got family members that have pretty much sussed out that I’m pregnant and I hate lying to them. The cheapest scan we could get in our area was £55 for a 10 minute appointment

I'm surprised how expensive it's gotten! I'd say it's worth it for the peace of mind, but still

Our is just over two weeks away, tempted by private but maybe save it for later so the kiddos can come too xx

It really doesn’t seem it, but £55 is cheap! Most I could find were £90+, I ended up booking one 2 hours away nearer family because it was so much cheaper than by us. Hopefully having the scan before you go away will help you relax and enjoy yourself the first trimester is the worst for all the worrying and what ifs.

I keep having days where I’ve just got a really bad feeling about this whole pregnancy, then I wake up the next day feeling so sick and tired that I’m almost relieved as it must mean that baby is growing nicely and messing with my hormones lol. 9th March still seems such a long way away for my booking in, hope I don’t have to wait too long for a scan date after that. Xx

It is hard isnt it. I feel like I’m starting to show a little and you just want to wear baggy clothes. That’s great you can get private scan. It’s worth the money to put you at ease and let’s you tell your family and enjoy your holiday. Youl be ok going at 11 weeks it will still be a clear scan for you xx

Yeah that would be a good idea dimond. I’m two weeks away now to it feels like a life time but It will come round. Plus if you wait till later the kids will love it. I think it’s just now that we are all or most of us are waiting on our scans it’s worrying and exciting. Wer not able to enjoy it the now once there done our time will go in quicker as we will have a weight lifted of us xx

I have 2 boys already (5 and 1) and we decided to try for one more.. but looks like but one get one free!

Yes! The last few days has been so bloody hard to keep it together and stop myself from being an emotional mess. Some friends from back home came to stay with us for a few days in the week, the day they left I cried so much.
And just now, OH had me in stitches just messing about, I was laughing so much that it turned into full on emotional sobs. The only time I’ve ever done that before, was when I was pregnant with my son. So funny but so weird and embarrassing!!

Yep same here. I had figured that this being my second time id take it in my stride but nope! I'm a mess, I'm crying one day, fine the next, I'm overly emotional, I find myself being jealous of my OH and paranoid (and knowing full well I'm paranoid!)

Hopefully it'll get better by trimester 2! Hoping you feel better

Thank you! I thought maybe it was a girl as everything seemed the same as my other 2 boys preganancies but just heightened. The nausea has been awful! The fact it’s the same just more intense makes me wonder if it’s 2 more boys!

Have been crying ALOT too! Couldn’t tell you why!

Today I managed to brush my teeth without throwing up! Woo-hoo!! Still feel sick though so Don’t know if it will happen again, might be back to hugging the toilet bowl later on when i brush before bed. Is baby letting you brush in peace yet? Exhausted isn’t the word lol. My 8 yr old has High functioning Autism and my 3 yr old and 1 yr old take a lot of running around after, my 2yr old suffers from a heart murmur and possible asthma, my youngest also suffers from asthma, eczema and has allergies too so it’s all go in my home. How old is your little one? My kids know about the baby in my tummy, they told me before I even knew myself - mummy must have been abit of a sleepy, moody pants I think. Ohh 9th of March, not too far away now then? Hopefully midwifes dates are right - 2 weeks closer to meeting your beautiful little bundle of joy xx
