***** September 2016 Mummies Tri 2 *****

I know!! 3 days :-) Can't believe we've come this far!! Time dragged to 12 weeks and now it's motoring along!
Got loads of stuff given to us by friends. Moses basket, bouncy chair included! And nust spent some Tesco vouchers on bedding. Also got an outfit with my boots points. Got to love getting bargains! Xx

Happy V day to me, yay! Xxx

Yay! Happy v day Naomi, sorry I missed it xx

Not much going on with me, apart from the PGP, swollen hands and feet/ankles and the odd bout of heartburn, I'm feeling pretty good lol
Only 4 weeks left to work which equates to 15 days , not that I'm counting

Well Ive had a nasty ass cold so have been in bed mostly.

We went for an Indian last night which was nice just two of us getting out for a bit. But I was home and back in bed after it lol.

We went to a farm open day yesterday and it was awful! We lasted 10 minutes and it taken us longer to get into the place. Total busy mess and lines for everything but can't really say to a 3 year old wait in a 30 min line, so we went to the park instead. Much more relaxing.

Today I have a wee baby event market thing. Must get my finger out now if I was anymore laid back this time Id be flat.

Have spent last two days stripping the old wall paper in baby's room in the new house :) :)

Thanks Karen :-) how is your PGP, is it getting worse or stable?

And oh no RM hope you're feeling better soon! The farm sounds like a nightmare. Queues with a toddler are a no go really!

Had a friend over last night and ended up staying up til gone 12. Big mistake as millie was up shortly after 6 so I'm shattered today!

Happy V day Niomi, not been on properly in a few days.

Can't believe how quickly these weeks seem to be whizzing by now!

Xx

Thank you!

Can I ask, how much weight have people gained so far? Think I'm going to be told off at midwife on Wednesday as I weighed myself this morning and I've put on a stone now since the start. I am not meant to be gaining much through the entire pregnancy as I was 0.5 into the obese bmi category at the start. Don't feel like I've been horrendously over eating but guess I must have been eating a fair bit more to have put on a stone already.

Going to have to try to be more conscious about what I'm eating I guess. Xxx

I haven't dared weighed myself...

I've not been sick this time so I think I'll definitely get bigger and heavier this time round.

I think as long as your getting up and about and eating generally good you'll be OK. Your growing a baby it's heavy business lol.

xxxx

Happy "V" Day to everyone who has reached that stage! :)

I'm 25 weeks today - it seems to be flying in! Baby is moving around a lot during the afternoons which is lovely to feel :)

Suffering from terrible heartburn at night though. Last night I had to sit up a few times until it calmed down.

Weight wise - In the first 12 weeks I lost about a stone through sickness but I think I have put that back on!

I don't think they weogh you again til the end do they?? Think because everyone puts it on so diffetently. I didn't put any on for ages but it is piling on now... 1.5 - 2lbs a week which is twice what you're supposedly meant to. I'm just eating when I'm hungry.

Lander how are you decorating the nursery once you've finished that lovely job of stripping the walls?? Xx

I didn't lose any in the first tri but didn't gain either. Haven't weighed myself since then but was a bit of a shock when I got on the scales this morning :-( xxx

Sorry not been on properly for a while as I had exams

I'm not sure what I have gained Naomi, I think it's only about half a stone though as I lost my appetite,

Can't believe I'm 25weeks tomorrow it's come round fast

Waiting for a carpet for the nursery to be delivered on Thursday :) coming along nicely so will soon be onto the lounge

How is everyone feeling? X

Well, all the rooms are having a basic hard-wearing beige carpet with thicker underlay, creamy/ivory walls and white gloss skirting/windowsills etc (considering the nutty 1960/70s decor it had the whole project will look like something out of Homes Under the Hammer  )

Baby's room is then having silver, grey and blue star decals on the walls, probably a grey/blue set of curtains, though I've seen nice cream blackout ones in Wilkinsons, nursery specific range.

And I'm hoping to get the Ascot cot bed and drawers/changing table top in Oak from Babies'r'us. Room has, slightly odd, but perfect, built in wardrobe type thing that looks like an American style closet which I like too.

We're hoping to get a small sofa bed in there too, for guests at first (like my Mum etc) and then it's useful if one of us needs to sleep in with baby if he's ill etc or if he goes in with one of us, the other can catch up on sleep in there lol

Lxx

Actually a bit shocked, looks like I finish tri2 in less than a fortnight

Hi Ladies, have any of you invested in a pregnancy pillow? My bumps getting bigger and with my restless legs I'm getting awful nights sleep! I just wondered if anyone had one and could recommend one to me? xxx

Wow it's amazing to see how far we are all going!!

Gem - ive had a pregnancy pillow for ages!! :-) i find it useful between my legs. Still wake up to pee but it definitely helps. Mine is from mothercare and can be used as a feeding pillow when baby is here.

Had my 24 week midwife appointment today. She guessed a boy from the heartbeat which I thought was odd as I read online there's no science to it!!! Staying team yellow anyway! Don't mind guesses though. Just want a surprise on the day!! Xx

I've got the Dream genii pregnancy pillow and it's great it help it supports front and back and helps you to stay on your left hand side if you're prone to rolling over.

We just started buying stuff for the nursery and will decorate and carpet in July when the inlaws come down to help!

Can't believe we are nearly in tri 3 how exciting

Neither can i it seems to have gone by quite fast! Ive had a busy May and we have a busy June so I'm going to start sorting baby bits out at beginning of July.

Thanks guys ill have a look at the dream genii and mothercare one, anything for a bit more sleep :)

p.s - midwife has been wrong previously on heartbeat, she told me my first was a girl and he was a boy xx

That's what I thought!! Think she just wanted to have a guess... Some people might hang on to that though!! Xx

I have one that is just a long pillow from Argos, it's ok, I'm just never comfortable ... It supports where is needed but as a tummy sleeper normally I'm struggling to get rest x
