***** September 2016 Mummies Tri 2 *****

Had my scan today both boys doing well, no issues. I have a low lying placenta but they will check it at my next scan other than that all is good :)

Lovely news about the scans!
and fab pics Caroline :-)

Getting quite nervous about Thursday now!! Xxx

Waiting to go in for my scan. Realised as I got here that I've left the blinking mat notes at home though :-( I swear I didn't need them at the 20 week scan last time as it was just the scan and no appointment but will have to send hubby home if I end up needing it :-/ eesh. We are only 10 mins away but it's too late now for me to go back for it as parking is a nightmare and si is coming separately straight from work so can't send him off yet as he won't be here til the actual scan time.
Blinking pregnancy brain!!!

Did anyone else need their file? Xxx

Panic over got in touch with him and he is going now before he gets to hospital. Phew!

Mrs...beautiful scan pictures

Naomi...no but I forgot my head more than a few times, glad it got sorted, good luck at the scan xx

Excited to see your pic Naomi!

My mum went to the aldi baby event at the weekend and got 2 highchairs, one for me and one for her house, a travel cot, a bouncy chair, babygrows, vests, cellular blankets, and socks!
I've went today and got more cellular blankets, babygrows and muslins and got some bibs from matalan. Might go to mothercare next week and get the pram ordered.
Has anyone else bought anything 'big' yet?

I almost forgot my notes for my booking in  remembered before we left though had to run back in! I am sure they would print you or write you something for the inside of your notes if you forgot. Goodluck, excited to see pics!

Im going for my Snuz and Pram at the weekend I went into my local mothercare and did not see anything I liked so hoping the Pram center will give me more hope - then ordering my furniture. I only have toiletries, nappies, blankets, a carrier, mamas and papas bath and toilet set. So after the weekend I hope to really only need stuff like clothes.

I forgot about the pram centre, might go there as well!

My friend is just away from there she says it made her more stressful  But I loved it last time I went I actually found looking really easy - mind you this time Im more fussy pram wise and I need it for other things having 2 now I need something light and nimble, but sturdy, not bulky, with lowering/raising bars for a very tall OH.. Plus I want something nice

The pram center is huge. My local mothercare is the one in anniesland and its tiny, mainly only has the far end prams - then the mothercare branded ones, then buggies - but I didn't rate the one there tbh.

Pram center you can keep your pram there too, as well as the crib - I checked this today as I plan to go in and just pay the bulk of both of mine, then do a final small payment when we pick it up - we really dont have the storage.

The only "big" thing I have is my mamaroo, and thats at the end of the day still a swing - just one thats cost more than some cribs do!

Boo baby was being naughty and uncooperative so couldn't get measurements for heart diaphragm or stomach. Bit gutted as feel like I can't quite feel relieved yet as don't know that all is ok! Also couldn't get a photo. The woman doing it was a trainee and she pushed in sooo hard that I think baby didn't like it as he/she curled up in a ball and wouldn't uncurl.

They only do rescans on Fridays and no space tomorrow so got to wait three weeks now for rescan because we fly to menorca next Friday. Trying not to feel too disheartened as everything else measured fine and baby is still there and things so hopefully the last few measurements will be fine too. Just gutted I've got to wait so long!!!
Xxx

Anniesland is the nearest one to me as well. I know what pram I'm having so don't really need to 'look' but the pram centre might be more fun for looking at all the other stuff :-) I'll pick the cot and mattress up from ikea so really only need to get the pram and snuzpod. Do you know if mothercare or pram centre do NHS discount?

Aww what a shame Naomi. The time will fly by with you being on holiday x

I thought I knew what I wanted - then seen the size of the wheels on most of them and how bulky they were and just had a melt down!

I dont think so - although mothercare might.. I had a look on staffnet there and couldnt see anything - but always better to ask anyway. They mainly only do nursery discounts on the children's bit that I could see and that bloody weekend box that appears on my facebook daily!

Let me know if your going before me  every little helps.

Ill get my cot and matress from ikea too - never had an ikea cot but going with the STUVA furniture set this time, so thinking of getting the matching cot with under drawers etc.

I'm just going for the sundvik cot, I don't need the drawers as the spare room is already kitted out with all white furniture so just need to get rid of the single bed and replace with the cot.
I'll defo let you know once I've been x a lot of places don't advertise it but do it if you ask :-)

Yeah ESP some of the well known shops, and with it being nhs I'd say with it being an nhs discount mother care is a sensible one for nhs staff. I love my staff discount although biggest deal I've got is an unlimited Glasgow club card which I cant use because I love saunas and high intensity work outs but I get that for cheaper than the Glasgow life club staff do which the receptionist who served me wasn't pleased about lmao.

Thats handy. We have Jackson's furniture but with Jackson being 3 now and adding a new baby to the mix I need all the storage I can get. In saying that I want a storage sideboard for the living room so mostly babies stuff will live there for a while at least nappies etc.

Have you started decorating yet?
