***September 2016 Mummies - the last lap***

Oh wow they booked that in quick :)
I don't really want to defer once I get into the year and into routine I will be fine but they want this 1 piece done by October x

Growth scan today puts baby's estimated weight just now at 4lbs 4ozs so following 50th centile. Got my elective section date of Monday 29th August!

MrsB ...... good luck trying to get that done! Can you not defer?

Defo not gonna be a September Mummy then! - NB, that's Bank Holiday Monday....

No definitely an August mummy!
It's not a bank holiday in Scotland :)

At least you have a date so you know when it's happening x

Urgh got really bad back ache this eve... been on the go all day so that could be why but it's come out of the blue a bit! Panicking about it being early labour or something, mainly because my parents are off to Peru until August 8th and they were in Nepal for millies birth so will be sods bloody law! Xxx

Exciting about the date Karen - just posted on the other thread :)

Has your cat turned up lander? Xxx

Aww Naomi I'm sure you will be ok, although it would be a smidge comical apart from being way too early x

Pop a hot water bottle on and chill, I'm sure it'll just be strain xx

Thanks ladies, hopefully it'll ease once I rest it. Properly hurting though and can barely move! Getting some cramps low down too. My parents have been making me promise not to go into labour while they are away so this baby better stay put! I'm sure all is fine I just can't help thinking it would be bloody typical haha! Xxx

Fingers crossed the cramps are Braxtton hicks, have a soak in the bath when you get chance it might help you relax x

Yeh pretty sure they are just BH. They are easing a bit now. Going on a walk in a bit to work off some of the burrito I had for dinner (wholemeal wrap and only had one as opposed to the 2-3 I used to eat in a sitting so I am getting better haha!) - hopefully the walk will ease the aches and pains a bit xxx

If you are anything like me the aches will get worse lol, glad the cramps have eased off a little :)

My neck is really achy, has been for a couple of days but I put muscle rub on just before tea (approx 1hr ago) and it seems to of helped ... I think it's from lack of sleep

In other exciting news I booked myself a pregnancy massage for next week ... Have to make sure it's OK with the midwife first though apparently ... Although I had one when I was pregnant with Liam and they didn't ask me to check with the midwife x

Sounds lovely ..... enjoy xx

I've still been having my fortnightly reflexology sessions throughout pregnancy and I really look forward to it. My reflexologist is completing a mother and baby course at the moment so that she can do me and baby once he's here ..... can't wait!

Hi girls xx

Baby weighed 3.1 that was like a week and a half ago so guessing close to 4lb atm have a scan at 34 weeks so we will see then, atm I know baba is breach as he is kicking me in the whoha lol constantly but I do think he's moving round as left side was real sore last 2 days. Had a lopsided bump there for a few days it was mad to see. Have the babies room to clear out completely and prepare to decorate there is so much stuff in there I don't know where to begin, I wish I could just bin the lot of it and start a fresh lol a girl can dream wish I had a little energy been putting this off for ages ekkkk

Aww you will get there and it will be the most satisfying job you can do :) x

Hi ladies. Not sleeping :-( Can't get comfy at all! Keep waking up with really sore hips despite lovely pregnancy pillow.
Ended up having an 'argument' with a cashier in a supermarket yesterday. The normal, "How long do you have left?" Then the "Wow, you look so big, like you're ready to drop!" comment. I quickly jumped in with, "Yes, I am sure I am only having one." Then she continued with "I can't believe you're sooooo big." "I'm not too big. I am just the right size." (I couldn't stop myself at this point because I am not upset, just sick of it happening all the time!)
This lady did not get the message though... "There's another lady who's expecting and she's too big too..." "I'm not too big!" "Well you look it to me. Well, as I was saying, this other woman who was too big had something wrong with her." I just had to tell her not to carry on and that I was fine... But she carried on anyway until I asked her to stop. She said, "I am just trying to show some interest but what do I know, I will never find a man or have a baby."
Guess I felt badly for her there, but some people just don't know when to stop. She was ignoring the next person in the queue too. As I was trying to get away, she shouted, "Bring the baby in for me to cuddle!"
Feel for her, but I think I will avoid her till again. Pregnancy hormones are in control currently and I might say something I regret!
From a colleague telling me I should count myself lucky to have conceived naturally (after two years of trying and a miscarriage which she knows nothing about) because she is going to try soon and knows she will have to have IVF to random ladies I played for in a choir saying I ought to get myself checked out because they think there could be something wrong as I was just soooo big, it's been a little annoying! My other colleagues have been amazing, but some random strangers have been a nightmare. Talk about pregnancy, but don't think that saying anything you like to pregnant women about their size/baby's health is ok. It's emotional Enough being pregnant without additional annoyances!
Rant over. Strangers, steer clear with your "You're too big" comments! Haha.

I'm constantly on paracetamol for my hips :( hope yours stop hurting soon.

And the lady at the till was just rude, I'm sure the customer behind you was probably thinking the same as you. I have had it my entire pregnancy as my bump started appearing at about 10 weeks. I had to wear maternity pants from 6 weeks lol. But it is very tiresome with everyone asking stupid questions and then commenting on the size.

If asked by a younger person it would go ... "Aww have you got long left?" " yes 5 months" " oh you like like you are ready to give birth soon!" " well it's twins, that's why I'm big" - sympathetic look given - " ooh rather you than me - I couldn't think of anything worse"
Old people loved it and were jealous they got away with it ... Then there are the random tummy touchers who made comments they couldn't feel any kicking ... Mainly because I was only about 16 weeks lol. And then you get the people who think they are comics that you just want to slap ... This happened all day every 20 mins or so as I work in a hospital and it was every appointment lol.

Buy a tshirt that says " yes I am pregnant and yes I am big ... Any question So? Don't bother :)

Some people in my opinion are too stupid to realise their own ignorance ... But you are right - avoid that cashier like the plague x

Has your cat turned up lander? Xxx

Yes, thankfully spent all day under our shed and managed to coax him out last night, he's been a soppy clingy thing all night and this morning since lol.

Just back from my growth scan, baby unsurprisingly has above average femur length and head circumference, and quite a big tummy, measuring 3 days to 1wk & 2 days ahead depending on the measurements and based on those is an estimated 4lb 11oz  so, hoping he does come a week or two early lol.

This morning he was also back to back, though he wasn't last week at our 4D scan, so, we think he's just a fidget, will review all this with consultant next week.

My appointments are all over the place off track right now as well lol

Is that the bottle feeding thread?
I'm a paediatric nurse and in the hospital if babies are on a 'special' feed the milk kitchen make the bottles up for 24 hours and we store them in our fridge until required then heat them up. My personal opinion is that as long as you make the bottle up with the boiling water initially to kill the bacteria then there's no harm in using it later.
There will always be difference of opinions and those that like to stick rigidly to the rules and guidelines but each to their own and we all need to find a way that works for us and our babies. No one is the perfect parent and we are all trying to do the best we can xx
Don't get upset over it xx
