Aww that's so cute Ramsey! My parents gave me the choice between Jordan Alexander and Alexander Jordan for my brother - it's lovely as a big sis to feel so involved!
As a side note:- I also had a cuddly toy parrot when I was little called 'Jesus' - used to cause my mum endless embarrassment when people asked

I like to think my tastes have improved slightly ...
Hope everyone had a lovely start to the weekend. I had a wee visit to triage last night - everything fine - I just woke up yesterday morning and my bump felt different. I didn't get the usual strong 'I want my breakfast' kicks. We went about our day as normal, picking up final baby bits (hospital bag now packed - woohoo!). Then had my dinner and put my feet up. Baby usually has a mad session between 6-9 where you can literally see knees and feet zooming around my bump ... But apart from a few small wiggles/hiccups right down low I wasn't getting any kicks. I have suffered with anxiety throughout my pregnancy so don't like to be paranoid but hubby (far more rational) decided at 9pm that we should ring.
I've not had any contact with the hospital midwives as of yet but they were all wonderful. Invited us in for assessment straight away. My baby has always been head down but side/back to back which is why I get such strong movements out front; however after 2 midwives prodding and poking they were concerned he'd got himself completely breech!

Midwife went to get a portable scanner and clearly bean did not appreciate all the poking as he began wiggling and kicking more than he had done all day! She had a good look with the scanner and could see his spine but couldn't find his head so she called the doctor in. Doc was great but blimey did she prod hard!! Ouch - eventually found that he was not breech but his head is so low in my pelvis they couldn't feel it and thought his bony bum was his head
Good news is he is now fully engaged with back to my tummy (so I'm unlikely to get his feet trying to burst through my tummy anymore) and probably explains the pressure in my bum over the past few days - I guess the exit gates are getting a little crowded! but glad he is currently 'locked and loaded' ready for birth.
I also had a couple of contractions whilst on the monitor?! Didn't feel them though.
I felt a bit silly having wasted their time but they were all so wonderful and each one - even the doctor said if you are at all concerned, be it a week from now or 12 hrs from now don't hesitate to come back - it's what we're here for. I normally hate hospitals but they made me feel quite calm and relaxed about going in on D-Day.
Anyways I'm hoping to have a slightly more chilled Sunday - taking my brother to buy some things for his new flat then promised hubby we can go and see the new Marvel film at the cinema

hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend
