*~*~* September 2015 Mummies *~*~*

Finally caught up with this whole thread!

Kelly you poor thing! Hope your physio appointment comes through quickly as being pregnant and in pain is not fun! I had to go for physio when I was pregnant with my daughter as I have an "irritable disc" in my lower back that likes to pop in and out etc. I remember it being horrendous and I had to get signed off for 2 weeks as I couldn't walk. I had the same thing happen again this pregnancy about 2 months ago and I literally hobbled around bent in half for 2 weeks as I couldn't even stand up straight, so horrendous. I really do empathise, it isn't fun at all! If the physio doesn't help it may be worth leaving work early - have you got any holiday owed? x

On the subject of hospital bags all I have left to buy now is breast pads, nighties and travel size toiletries :D

I have even packed my snacks already - only need to buy drink now lol.

I have also started stocking up on newborn nappies :)

Oh and also in relation to steriliser question - I had a tommy tippee microwave one but found it so annoying having to wait for scolding hot bottle to cool down etc and fact that once you open it you have to sterilise rest of bottles again even if not used, it drove me nuts. After about 3 weeks I gave it away and bough a Milton cold water steriliser instead - bottles stay sterile for 24 hours hours and then you just need to change water and pop in a new tablet (only £1 something for a box of 28) wait 15 mins and put all clean bottles, dummies, spoons and whatever else back in. So easy!

I have bought the MAM anti colic bottles this time as you can sterilise them in microwave without the need for a steriliser when you are out and about if you need to and you can still put them in the Milton cold water steriliser when at home :) xx

Ohh blimey that sounds awful! Did you just have to rest for those two weeks?

I currently have 4 weeks of holiday to take. My maternity starts 24th August but I may more it all forward slightly so that maternity starts a couple of weeks earlier and then holiday. Maybe so I finish end of June but I am certain I can go to paperwork for a few weeks if need be.

Okay, all this hospital bad talk makes me think I should start thinking about it!
I have just brought the tt microwave one this time :(
I did use some tablets and a travel steriliser once with my little boy and I loved it :-D x

As for the physio, I have to call up but there is usually a 3 month waiting list :-S

Yeah I just rested as much as possible for a couple of weeks and it gradually improved, warm baths helped too! I would definitely see if you can get put on light duties or paperwork hun as unless you rest enough it will get worse :( Shame you have such a long wait for physio! My GP gave me tablets for mine this time round but I only took one as I was too worried about taking them which didn't help!

Sorry! Some people love microwave sterilisers, I know lots of people that do but they are just not for me. Think I just get too stressed waiting for things to cool down in a bottle emergency lol. Part of the reason I also got a perfect prep machine this time round as waiting for 20 mins for a bottle to cool is another stress I don't need hahaha! xx

I really want to go in to labour naturally this time. Induction wasn't a walk in the park last time and I really want to really experience it naturally this time. Sounds weird but knowing this is the last time, I just want to feel my waters break etc.
Not the pain though ha! Even though I survived with no pain relief last time, I'd like something to take the edge of this time. I think I want the excitement of thinking "is this it?", it was all too organised last time. Xx

I am the same. I was induced last time too and as this is my last also, I want the waters breaking and the rush to hospital and excitement etc. knowing my luck now I'm hoping for it , it will happen in the middle of the supermarket or something but in the same boat as you.
Also just realised we are due date twins!

I was induced last time also, really going I can hq've my home birth this time n hq've as u ladies have said the excitment of going into Labour myself.

Michelle.x

My waters never broke on their own, had contractions for hours but waters didn't break so they had to break them for me x

I have been attacked by hay fever again !!!!! This is one thing I wouldn't wish on anyone whilst pregnant , much worse then it sounds.

You all seem so prepared ladies, I don't have any bottles or anything yet. Because I'm going to attempt to breast feed what do I need?

Aquanatal sounds amazing I need to start going mine, I'm shocked she said about bouncing on the ball already but I'm going to look in to getting one now. Anything to help labour hsha x x x

Sorry you are suffering so much kelly ~ last thing you need on top of a regular pregnancy! Hopefully they can get you in for physio nice and quickly, and definitely rest up!!

I was also induced last time, and so this time and really hoping for a natural labour where I can progress at home etc. last time it was all so quick and intense I didn't have a second think about anything, it just totally took over. Fingers crossed for us all having shows, followed by waters breaking, then contractions, maybe followed by an hour of pushing... Sound ok to everyone? X

What I would give for only an hour of pushing lol. Anything less than the 3 hours of pushing I had last time would be brill! :D x

I'd settle for in the supermarket if it happened naturally ha!! I just want to know what waters feel like. Twin A is breech now though so I'll be trying to get the little madam to move otherwise it will be a section.

Anybody else weeing ALL the time?! Having to plan trips around needing the toilet, it's so blinking annoying!! X

Just realised I finish work 3 weeks today!!! (My school break up for summer hols) so excited!! I'll only be 32wks but I've made sure my calendar is full of friend/family catch ups etc to keep me occupied towards due date xxx

3 weeks?! You lucky thing! We've still got 5 weeks to go until the end of term. Last two weeks is rollover and the person covering my mat leave is already starting so I'm doing a new teacher's timetable, bonus being she only works 3 days! X

Yes me!! I am going literally every half hour today, clearly little boy is using bladder as a pillow! :) x

My last day is the 30th July x
I can't take any more sick days. I keep getting reviewed as I've been off so much this last year as been ill all the time!

Your sciatica sounds awful :( did it stick with you mid between babies?

Ohh my bump does that sometimes (if it's the same) x

My last day is the 31st july. But im working a full 2 weeks without a day off before hand which will probably kill me. Hoping the weather is crap as there is no air con in our place and its actually warmer inside than it is out!!!!

Yep stayed with me. I dont think itll ever go. Pretty sure my lb damaged the nerve. Was in bed last night with the OH. Felt awful as he was ' trying to get it on' but i physically couldnt move. Any time he moved my leg i squeeled in pain or if he asked me to turn over for a kiss i couldnt as my body wouldnt let me. He eventually gave up and rolled over to sleep :/ Feel pretty useless but he just doesnt seem to understand how sore it is!

Have my first mw appointment (finally) at 3 so will definately be mentioning it to her. Also think iv to get blood taken :( pray for me.... i HATE needles :'( xx

Anyone else starting to panic thinking they can't feel the baby move and getting a bit obsessed by it all? A close family member lost her baby after 7.5 months pregnant and I just can't shake it. It's driving me mad x
