My OH has a game tonight so he won't be home till midnight probably, he had training last night too but got home about 9 so wasn't too bad. I used to get anxious being in my own being so close to due date but I've actually really enjoyed the time. Probably because I've been working with him this week so was nice to have some time to myself. I like when he has Friday games because means I have him at home all weekend. M

Spending the morning with OH's sister snd the girls tomorrow but then weekend to relax and get fully ready for baby's arrival. OH has a light to put up in her room and things.

Violet have you tried hypnobirthing - can really kerb the worries xxx

Had the funniest phone call with my friend who had her baby a few weeks ago - thought I'd share:
(she had a very traumatic birth bless her and tore rather badly due to emergency intervention)

"I braved a look 'down there' and was actually really shocked! It looks better than before! I reckon the nurse who stitched me up felt sorry for me for going through a lot so she gave me a designer vagina!"

Haha silver linings and all that ...

Hello September mummies!!
I hope you don't mind me intruding but I've been catching up on your thread and wanted to say a big good luck to you all! A few of you sound like your babies are on the move, it's so exciting!!

Just a little head up... My bubba was head down and began engaging at 33 weeks. He's been 4/5 since 38 weeks when I had my first false labour. I've since had another false labour (it's a cruel thing, you get so excited and go through hours of pain for it all to stop!!). I'm now overdue and will be induced next week if he's not here.

But in such a short time we will have babies in our arms. I just cannot wait!! So good luck, and if you need anything, just ask

Summer - that is hilarious! I never managed to brave looking but it 'felt' the same and I'm ashamed to admit I actually asked hubby if it felt the same. :cringe: I've braved a look at my scar, it doesn't look too bad, hate the overhang but that is reducing day by day. Stomach is still swollen but the surgeon said it may take a few weeks as they cut through different layers and they have to all reduce in swelling. It's all pretty grim at the moment but I can see improvements. I sound vain here but I'm just scared of twin belly!
Still enjoying everyone's twinges, and the guessing game of who is next! Fx we have a flurry of September bubs soon.
We are all getting on fine, the girls are such good sleepers and self-settle already, really hope they stay like this! Still combination feeding but only managing to express one feed each of breastmilk still, they are latching on now but topping up with a premature formula so we know how much they are getting. The hospital was meant to send a prescription for their formula and still haven't which is really annoying. Anyway I'm rambling! Here are a couple of pics as requested!

Bunny I'll be just short of 38w when I finish but I work from home so not doing anything strenuous.

I've still not heard from my cousin yet to see how she's getting on, I'm assuming her little girl will be here today x

Ahhh gilly they really are so cute.

Symptoms are so exciting but defo get hopes when really we all have no idea how long we have left, but to me that is both exciting n scary at the same time we cud just b Sat watching tv one min n then bam a baby is born!!

Of course I do have a date but never know even that cud change if they push me back like they did with my friend!!

Shud of stayed in today n tidied up etc but I cudnt resist going to the soft play with Harry n grandma n his cousins it was so much fun. He was knackered when we got back been asleep since 1!!

Glad overall you are all getting on will despite bit of a muck up with the prescription. I could look at baby pics all day haha xxx

Aww bless you!- I'm fully expecting to go overdue - can only imagine the frustration of false labours!!! Xxx

I'm not so sure I think I lost lots the day's/week's leading up to Harry's birth so I'm not convinced although would b nice if it's my body starting to get ready. It's git 10 days to get itself ready I really don't want a long Labour after a quick one last time lol.

Aww H hope you feel better soon??! Labour wouldn't be great feeling like that. I've been told it's going to be a heatwave next week - can't cope with the heat in hospitals when it's cold never mind hot haha! xxxxx
