Congratulations Tree trunks. So happy for you so fingers crossed for a sticky one.

Gave in and poas today. Bfn and am 12-13dpo i think so would have showed by now. I thought there was a good chance this month and on top of that I have been horribly constipated which is unheard of as I have in a which tends to cause the opposite. On to month 6 I guess... I didn't think it would take this long as fell on month 3 with our first.

Won't test until after at due now if she doesn't turn up but convinced she will. Just can't work out a reason why it isn't working this time as easily. Oh well.... Onto month 6

Oh my gosh this is so strange, we are all ovulating at he same time ha ha ha I had a smiley ( peak one ) yesterday.. by the way I have a question regarding ovulation pains. I get them every time , quite painful ones.. So what does it mean when they ease off and then stop, does it mean ovulation is over or is t just te egg has been released and now you still have 12 hours to dtd one more time? I m asking cause I got smiley yesterday, then today at midday ovulation pains started but now they are over already, they usually only last for a few hours, does it mean my ovulation window is over ? Can it be that short? Everything happens real quick for me to be honest. For example once I get flashing smiley, then literally 12 hours later I get my peak one... ladies any explanations/information will be apprecited. Hubby and I dtd yesterday afternoon and tonight after my ovulation pains have finished already so I m not so sure we did enough as we didn't get a chance to dtd any other time this cycle... oh dear I m turning into a cookoo bird again as I do every cycle around the beginning of 2ww lol

I no most ppl have taken different times to fall pregnant. A lot of ppl on here inclucing myself been trying for baby #1 for way over 6 months. You will get there! Good luck hunni

Following from a distance and just caught up on thread. So thrilled for you TT that's fantastic news!!

Alexis and babyscotcher hang in there....think we are tracking similar time ttc. We ve been officially ttc into cycle 5 now but had couple of months ntnp before then with a bit of haphazard unprotected sex following xoul removal. (We had agreed to start ttc in june)

Kinda of entering 2ww now. Not doing opks as stressed me out too much just couldn't get in the swing of it. App has me down as tomorrow is last of 4 days that were my highest chance. I think we are well covered at DTD over last weekend then Wed Thurs then tonight and hoping to sneak one in tomorrow and or Tues to ensure given the best chance this month.

Been to a baby shower tonight and was torture. I'm not good at the over girlie stuff anyway and then pregnant friend saying she couldn't give any advice as they had caught on first attempt was a kick in the guts. She doesn't know we are trying but it's so tough to take when people.are oblivious.

So nice to know you ladies are going through the same and I'm not alone. Best of luck to those still to test. I'm not setting a test date. It's hubby birthday on 7th Nov so would be so perfect if this was our month as could get a BFP just in time. Here's to staying positive!

Such a mind bender isn't it. For me, I've only conceived when I've dtd the day before I've had a positive opk. Each time, we have only dtd once and caught. All three were early losses so took a cycle off. Last cycle, we dtd once again, but it was the day after a positive opk and we didn't catch.
We do dtd more in the cycle but my fertile periods have always landed when oh is away working.

I honestly think the chances are greater when sperm are there waiting...lots of scientific studies back this up. There is a window for up to 24 hours after ovulation though but I would think the closer to ovulation the better as the egg starts to deteriorate rapidly.

To be honest though, covering your fertile window is far better than trying to get the timing perfect as there's just no point putting that much pressure on yourself.

Oh and I really wanted to dtd more in my fertile window this month but my work put paid to that last night and today.

Dam it...no temp spike this morn but I feel warmer and I've had ovulation pains all last night and still some this morning? I had a temp dip days ago and well before lh surge? Here is my ovia temp chart. I mean I havent taken my temp at same time as normal over wknd so might be inaccurate but it should be higher by now?

My last cycle I ovulated sept 15 if I count back 14 days from day af arived which was same day as my lh surge.

Got my darkest opk lh surge on sunday 15th in the morning. Does anyone else have a prolonged temp rise after LH surge? I am starting to worry now!

I think once the egg is released it can survive for up to 24 hours. It sounds like you are covered. I get like that every month - never feel we did enough.

I think some women don't ovulate til a day or two after the dip. If you have pains it sounds like your body is still ovulating. I'd keep dtd until the temp really goes up. If you had your lh surge yesterday morning then you are bang on cue to ovulate. You ovulate between 12 and 36/48 hours after your surge so it sounds like you are in the process. Your temp won't be higher if you are still ovulating. If you ovulated last night or early this morning it won't go up til tomorrow.

I sometimes get my dip before I ovulate.
