**** October Testing Thread****

I'm in two minds about whether to OPK this month or not - my app says fertile window now so should really be OPKing now .. but kind of thinking I don't want to and just wait and see. But then when AF comes along end of the month I'll be annoyed I haven't tried. Feel like I'm just setting myself up for disappointment!!

How are things going for everyone? x

JR...consider which option, emotionally, would be worse for you... Not using OPKs and feel like you didn't catch the egg because there's a chance it would have been different if you did... Oooor using OPKs and at least know that a possible negative was no fault on your part. Either way hun...you are doing the best you can. Xxxxx don't be hard on yourself

I know exactly how you are feeling! TTC took all the pleasure and intimacy out of it for us and made it unbearably mechanical, so much so that DH struggled to finish. That made me question things between us that should never have been questioned. That's when I decided that I was going to change my mindset. I refuse to let this become a rift between my husband and I. I do want children but not at the expense of my marriage. So... Im chiiiiillll now. If it happens it happens but if it doesn't I still get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend and the love of my life. Not being able to have a baby won't make me love him less and it won't make my life any less beautiful or fullfilled. BUT that is just me, each woman is unique with her own set of circumstances and ideas. I really hope you and DH get emotionally connected again xxx this is horrible for both of you

We were feeling the same - the sex was really mechanical and the intimacy was not great. My DH was having trouble finishing, which made it worse. I would dread my fertile window each month. We have switched to AI which takes all the stress away, and after one cycle of that the intimacy and fun has come back as we are not associating it with TTC.

If you can dtd every other day then you don't need to use opks. I do think they put more pressure on.

Wow your one lucky girl! Ive been off the pill over 2 years and been trying for 10 months and nothing ! Lovely to hear it happens like that must be amazing !
