Congratulations Summerwine! Hope the next 9 months go well.

Still no AF for me, now 2 days late for my period and the spotting I was having has stopped. Thinking it's probably just my cycles settling down after giving birth but I will test again tomorrow if the witch hasn't shown.

AF got me after three days of hmming.... Proper came home from work and cried on hubby. He was great though. I'm also really tired. Done two weeks of 50 hours of work, nights and days.

I know I will, but I don't feel like I currently have the emotional capacity to keep trying. Also got texted by a friend who was announcing her baby boy had just arrived.
She doesn't know we've been trying though. What worries me is that they say 70% of people get pregnant in 6 months, and then 85% by the end of 12 months..

.. So if I've just tried for 6 months, and not got pregnant, does it mean that I have a low chance of conceiving in the next 6 months? IE.. Cuz only an additional 15% of people conceive between 6-12 months? Or is my grasp of statistics wrong?

No, there's so many variables, they are just general stats.
You could conceive next time or take twice as long.
Every single person has different factors affecting fertility and I daresay good old luck is one of them too.
We have been trying a couple of years but I've seen quite alot of people conceive in under that time, a few are quite lucky and successful after a month or two but most seem to take a good few cycles Imo.
It's gets a bit easier I think after a few months to accept.
There's lots to try in the meantime.

Sorry the witch got you JaneyJan. The statistics mean that you have an 85% chance of being pregnant by the end of a year. The fact that only 15% get pregnant in the second 6 months is because the 70% that already got pregnant can't get pregnant again, so it's half of the remaining 30%. Does that make sense?

Thanks rainbow. But to me, that means if you're not in the first 70%, 15 of remaining 30 couples will get pregnant in the next 6 months. Which means only about a 50% chance? Which means... Less chance than in the first six months... Which was 70:30 chance of getting pregnant...? Maybe there are too many factors..

But statistics are just a general reflection of the couples they used. It wasn't 100 yous (if you know what I mean).
I could have a strange hormone burst for no apparent reason and be more fertile this month or be less fertile because I dont know, - I drank more tap water for example.
What I mean is, it is absolutely irrelevant what the statistics say.
They are for general comparison use only.
Don't get bogged down by it xxx

Well my last period was 2 weeks late, I was getting faint positives before that, not sure if I ovulated a bit earlier or it wasn't my period?
I just presumed it was my period.
I did those 2 earlier tests last night on an early whim.
Then today thought im sure im pregnant, picked some Digis up and poas no hold.
Was happy to see the + but thought to be sure best do the other one as well.
In the end I don't care how far along I am, just over the moon to see the + +

Main symptoms are, really thirsty, slightly sore boobs, coat feeling tight around the middle, bloating up over the day, shooting pain in nipples, very vivid dreams, totally loads of gas, faint nausea after dinner today, tired, but feel quite happy in myself xxx
