October 2017 Mummies - The last thread :)

Thanks Lea, just feels like it is another something to panic over, am not sure what it means if the baby isn't growing, am not sure how they deal with that or what I need to be prepared for? Also don't know if this means we can't have our holiday which we are due to go on two weeks tomorrow, just feel so stressed! Urgh x

I'm sure everything will be fine. From what I've read they have allowances in the measurements for +/- 2 weeks anyway and your dates could be slightly off. I suspect I'm up to a week out on dates. Also the measurements are really subjective. Completely depends on the midwife who measures you and where they measure from. Just see it as an extra scan to see little one.

I now get so fed up when I have to go into London for the day. The whole train/tube faff is annoying, and my feet are killing me. I woke up early though so got in really early and now get to finish early. Looking forward to a lazy night with my feet up.

Sleep is annoying me too. Although I want to sleep I don't look forward to trying to sleep, or getting comfortable. While I don't seem to be waking up too much to wee I do seem to be generally waking up a lot. Not sure on the itchy hands thing Allysa- I know itchy feet can be a worrying sign. Maybe get it checked out with the midwife xx

I'm the opposite to you Flick!! I turned 28 weeks today and I had my 28 week midwife appointment today. She measured me for the first time and I am measuring at 32/33 weeks!!!! She is now sending me for the diabetes test and if it vomes back that i dont have it, I will need a scan to see what's going on!!! She said it could be extra fluid but she felt around and said baby feels big. I could become an August or late Sept mum!!!!!!!! I cant be 4 weeks ahead....could I? Will keep you all updated!!! Also had whooping cough vaccine at same time...arm feels battered and bruised after failing to get blood!

OMG! I couldn't imagine losing 4 weeks. Wow. That would organise the mind!
Just a warning- the top of my arm ached for 2 days after the vaccine. Nothing major, but if you wake tomorrow and raise you arm and it aches that's why.

A frozen chicken breast jumped out of the freezer onto my foot. Ouch! Expecting a lovely bruise. A few choice swear words were shouted.

My back really aches tonight. Feel like I want a hot water bottle on it, but its too hot.

Blimmin hell, Olivia, measuring 32 weeks! I had a friend who was literally massive bless her, then her waters broke, and her bump disappeared! Blimey, if you do have diabetes, they will want to get baby out sooner rather than later...
I wonder what I will measure on Thursday - I'm intrigued now...
Have you got any bump pics Olivia?
X

When I went to the hosp on Saturday (26w 5d) she measured me and it was 26. It will be interesting to see how I measure next Tuesday as it will be a different woman doing it. x

I am also intrigued to see how big you all measure for a comparison haha

I will try to attach some bump pics I took this morning.

I read that depending on who measured You, you can measure differently? I can't wait till my 31 week appointment to get measured again!!

I took these this morning before the appointment. Different angles to give a better idea of size

Morning all,

Loving the bump pic Olivia!

Haven't taken my pic yet this morning but this was my 27 week bumpie, I think I look huge hence am struggling to understand the baby being small, everyone tells me how big my bump is, got my scan today at 2.25 so at least I will know more then and can at least know if or what I need to deal with, the not knowing is the hardest!

Plus as a bonus I get to see my boy :) I was going to pay for a scan before the holiday but now I won't need to :)

Oh wow Olivia that's an impressive bump!

Flick good luck for today although I'm sure you have absolutely nothing to worry about, it's good they're being extra cautious :) Your bump is looking big to me although mine is tiny, I have serious bump envy!

I don't know where my bump has gone!? I don't even look pregnant anymore :(

Aw that is such a cute bump, I feel huge, am constantly bloated which helps to make me lok about 52 weeks pregnant!!! xx

This is why ive measured big. Got a big baby apparently! Will know more today once midwife has dropped off info to book my GD test. Baby is wriggling all over the place. I do often wonder what gender the baby is. I'm envious that you all know as you'd be able to buy correct clothes...i am buying plain white multipacks and will have to order more once baby is born.

How's everyone feeling????

Flick fingers crossed with the scan today, I am sure all will be just fine and you get to see your baby again x

Wow how many nice bumps ladies ! Can't wait for next Monday when I have my 28 weeks midwife appt to measure me as well. I do believe it all depends of baby's position and who is measuring as everyone will give you different measurements! A scan is the best for it.

I do remember on my 24 week appt the midwife measured and she said 27 cm? Not sure what is means, good bad but will see on Monday. Yesterday someone saw me after a few weeks and exclaimed what a big bump you have . I am anyway petite and I do believe on us bump is more in the front? However I feel huge.

Olivia, oh dear, I don't want even to imagine having the baby so soon! It is good you are so organised and I am sure you already have the hospital bags and most of the stuff for the baby. Hope I won't get this kind of news haha

Bad night again, I think I will leave work after midday as I feel awful.

Baby had hiccups earlier!! Such a strange sensation. It did not last long though.

I will update my bump later :D

x

I wish I had everything organised haha I need to put a hospital bag together and some baby clothes. I have the car seat which is a start haha. OH is going on holiday from the 19th of August till the 30th so I need to ensure everything is ready before he goes incase something happens while he's away!

Good luck with scan Flick!

Am back and all is perfectly fine! He was mid line on the charts for everything (apart from his tummy which was in the 71st percentile little tubby :)) he weighs 2lb 9oz at the moment, placenta has shifted too so I should be able to have normal delivery all being ok in the end of course :) xx

Great news on the scan flick.
Beautiful bumps girls, digital- yours is making me feel huge!

I had a crap night. There were 7 short power cuts down my road from 0345-0630 when I finally gave up and left for work. I know this as one of my neighbours has a house alarm. Spent the day tired and grumpy and work. I hope the issue has nw resolved itself.

On the plus side kiddicare have realised they didn't send the car seat so I should have it in 5 working days. Fingers crossed!

Urgh, I just want to veg now and do nothing until tomorrow x

Ahh, 2lbs 9, can't believe our little babies are getting there! Great news flick!
x

That's great news Flick.

My GTT is booked in for Tuesday and my midwife is dropping round some medication as my iron levels are low....explains why I feel faint and tired!

Hopefully you'll get your car seat soon Amy

Bump update, sorry for my nakedness , couldn't be bothered to put something on

My car seat willarrive tomorrow yey! I got a cot bed from M&S and I am waiting for the matress now, slowly getting there. All our furniture is wrapped up in one room at the moment but my dear hubby promised everything will be sorted out and perfect until the baby comes !

Baby is being so active, really strong kicks on the both sides of my bump at the same time? He is soing some gymnastics in there
