*** October 2015 Mummies ***

I bought myself a cossie to go swimming aaaages ago, but one thing after another has cropped up and I haven't been able to go yet. Really hoping next week is my week for it; cant wait! :)

That reminds me I need to go buy a maternity swimsuit before my hols! We're only going to northern Norway, but IF the weather is really nice I may brave a dip in the ice cold ocean  Tried to squeeze into an ordinary swimsuit the other day - EPIC FAIL! Or... I could get it ON over the bump, but the bumpage pulled so much fabric it wouldn't cover my boobs properly :p

Hehee snap my cozzie only just fit over my boobs but it was so stretched it looks ridiculous...I also has an issue when I went for a wee after swimming, I took my wet cozzie down and then couldn't get it back over my boobs for the shower....I'm glad there was hardly anyone in there - wondering why I was just flashing my top half?? my mate brought my towel over for me phew x so yes I was trying to avoid it but I guess I'm going to have to get a cheap maternity cozzie

I got a maternity swimsuit from sportsdirect. Great sale price!

I'm getting more monkeyish by the day
Even my face is growing a fuzz!

Weird question but is anyones lady bits looking or feeling swollen?

Shelly, yup that's the one! Cheap and comfy x

Gail, I think mine are... not like a lot but definately look a bit swollen :oooo:

I can't see mine anymore lol! I think it's quite common though, I remember my lady bits were bit swollen when I was pregnant on my little girl, not sure what they are up to this time round.

I've got the sports direct cossie, saw no point in spending anymore than £12 on it.

I could cry today; my hips are so sore! Is more of an ache than pain really, but I feel like I'm in my 80's! Good job I'm off to see the mw on Monday. It loosens up slightly over the course of the day, but even so got a long way to go so don't want to be feeling like this every day!

Carrie, that sucks! Maybe the midwife can refer you to see a physiotherapist? I get sore hip some nights, cant imagine having it all day!

Speaking of swimming and sore hips - apparently doing breaststroke is not good if you have problems with hips... I read this yesterday, though I should mention it x

Carrie I've been having issues with my hips from about 15weeks, turned out it wasn't my hips it was my pelvis, referral to physio should help.

When I get up from sitting I'm like an oap lol!

How's everyone today? Xx

Haha, Shelly! I feel the same and we haven't even hit Tri 3 yet

I was watching my little bug turning and kicking yesterday, it was kind of like watching the Nessie swim in my stomach! I could really see it... weeeeeeeiiiiiirrrrrdddd :oooo:

I had that on Sat Karolina, managed to film it lol! Baby's been quieter since then, think it's turned back in the way again!

I thought in earlier pregnancy when I could feel the baby move it would be all day long, not thinking the wee baby needs to sleep too lol!! I prefer feeling it move a lot right enough, saves me getting the Doppler out. Xx

You managed to catch it on camera?! Argh! I've been trying and failing! My girl is moving like crazy between 8pm and 9pm and because of the night light the phone camera looses focus (I have a very good camera on my phone, but apparently still not good enough)... I will try again tonight!

I noticed that what usually sets the baby off is food, especially peaches! She either loves them or hates them that much

Yip managed to film it while lying in the bath :). I've not found anything in particular sets the baby off, doesn't even react to cold drinks probably because I drink ad much cold drinks lol xx

I've had my first non sick day today :) I almost dare I say it feel normal!!!!! Hope this is the start of a few weeks respite!!!!

Picked out my pram last night I'm so excited about it which is making me excited about the baby finally :) just have to persuade hubby to buy it at the weekend while it's on offer as he wanted to wait until August when we have the money but it wont have the free car seat and 10% off then. He doesn't like doing things on finance which we'd have to do if we got it at the weekend.

I've gone for the cosatto giggle 2 I love it, it's so simple and easy and compact compared to the hulking great monstrosity my last silvercross travel system was!!!

Rachael, woohoo to you first day without sickness!!! This is amazing news, hope it stays this way now!! x And good luck convincing hubby about the pram, how can he say no to a pregnant woman?!

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even put into words how happy I am that the working week is almost finished

Yipeeeee! FRIDAAAAY!! we have a busy weekend ahead as it is my babies birthday, he will be 8!! eeek!! and we have just booked our holiday, we are going to Cape Verde in August, all inclusive! I can not wait!! :) Happy Friday everyone!

Yes! FRIDAY! I have longed for the weekend since Monday morning! Have been SO tired this week, to the point of being in TEARS because I've felt so utterly exhausted. Not fun!

Had my 24-week MW appointment this morning. All seems well, my BP is still slightly elevated but she wasn't concerned. Nice strong heartbeat (I knew this anywaym since I have a doppler at home), bump measures in at the high end of the normal range.

Had a good chat about my traumatic birth/emerhgency section last time, and am going to the maternity ward for a look around and a chat with one of the doctors there, to process a few things from last time and prepare myself for this time round.

My next MW-appointment is in 6 weeks time. Should have been in 4 weeks time, but we're away on hols then, so I'll be 30 weeks instead of 28 weeks.

Rachael hopefully your sickness is subsiding (eventually).

Sara that sounds amazing! Take it you'll need a fit to fly certificate etc that far on?

Karolina I'm in holiday yesterday & today (using up 2014 holidays lol) & annoyed coz I had plans that have been mucked about with lol.

Glad your appointment went well Petchy, my midwife doesn't measure my bump, she has a feel
At Uterus & says yeah it's about right size lol!! Oh nice a wee holiday! My 28 week appointment is quite important as that's when j get my 1st Anti D shot.

Picked up a perfect prep machine at Mothercare event last night for £59.97!! Ideal :) xx
