ah loving everyone finding out what they're having, lovely lovely!

The past week I have expanded at a ridiculous speed, it's crazy. I've finally started to embrace showing off my bump as I think it looks more bump and less like I've got a bit porky now. Still feel a little bit self conscious about it, but getting better.

one week today and I have my 20 week scan, oohh I cant wait!!

Hi there October mummies!

My name is Charlotte and I've just joined the forum, hope it's ok to join in this thread. I am expecting twins on October 17th...found out at 12 week scan and it was a huge shock as there is no family history either side. My next scan is tomorrow and I'm very nervous, hoping all is ok!

Had awful sickness but picked up a lot over the last few weeks thankfully!

Well don't I just feel like a right whale at the moment I'll take a pic soon as I've got 5 mins off work and compare it to the last one. EVERYONE at work has said how big I've suddenly got this week and it's true...my tunic doen't fit now it's official I will have to upgrade to a maternity tent....I'm all good tho feeling my little lady kicking around regularly is awesome glad she's cooking nicely and we are ok. I think some people at work are a bit shocked as it's suddenly become dead obvious...I had a receptionist today look at me and say awr not long now...before I'd even told her how many weeks I was haha x

Anyone else unable to eat before lying down, otherwise you get chocked on stomach acid/heartburn/reflux burn to the throat? meeeee I do which is pants because I like to eat something when I get in then lie on the sofa for a bit booooooooo

Oh god yeah the heartburn Stacey I get that too!! I had it with my first as well but only after 30weeks not this early, I ended up with a prescription for Gaviscon I went through that much of it lol, I used to chug it back before I'd lie down, even then I still needed high pillows so I slept slightly sat up!!
I was a bit worried that it started so early this time! Apparantly it's a sign of a hairy baby so maybe ours will be born with a full head of luscious rapunzel locks lol

Welcome, Charlotte! We share the same due date (although if I was in the UK mine would be the 14th, as here in Norway they count 40+3 for some reason)

I have never experienced heartburn but since the start of tri 2 I get reflux every so often. I guess it depend on what I eat and how late at night so I try not to eat anything heavy past 8pm x

Stacey im the same with heartburn, I'm going to take shares up in rennies, I'll ask if there's anything I can get on prescription, it's also worse if you lie die - feels like your going to puke!

My hubby had a full head of dark spikey hair when he was born, wonder if the baby will be hairy like him xx

Welcome Charlotte - congratulations on twins, how wonderful

I am currently studying for a big exam tomorrow, whilst trying to do my full time job and look after the family! Hubby is being great, but I would rather he sit the exam for me than do all the other stuff.

On the up side the weather is meant to improve by the end of the week, so here'd hoping for a lovely weekend
