November Mummies! <3

Not bad at all that! My first was quite quick, first waters went at 10pm, 2nd broken by nurse around midnight, followed by hormone drip, gave birth at 9:30am. Lots of people say it was quick for a first labour. Nothing's quick when you're in pain though.

I'm 38 weeks today. I had my daughter at 39+2! X

Wow starchild could be any day now!!

My period pain is back, it feels quite tender in general and had a lot of egg white mucus? Had discharge throughout but never this consistency..

T2186 perhaps get the mucus checked out, it could be your plug coming away.

I'm feeling really sick. Felt a bit off for a few days now almost like my morning sickness has come back. I don't remember feeling this awful the first time round towards the end. X

Yeah, I'm seeing my midwife on Wednesday I'll mention it to her x

Are you ready? I still feel like I have loads to do like cleaning etc. Currently looking at buying a carpet cleaner so I can sanitise the sofa and rugs lol

I washed the car seat covers yesterday, and bought nursing bras on Saturday, so baby is good to come now - I'm as ready as I ever will be!

I'm ready in the sense I have the basics covered, somewhere to sleep in our room, bottles, clothes, nappies, milk, pram & car seat, hospital bags packed.

However. The nursery is getting a new window this week (depending on the weather) carpet needs replaced & it needs decorated. But baby won't be in it until 6mth AT LEAST! Daughter was over 1 lol so I don't feel ready as that's a stress on my mind cause I'd have liked it finished before the birth. Daughters room & hallway need decorated, and we're getting new bedroom furniture which I'd like done before the baby is here.

Got our new fridge so we have even less room in the kitchen until we get rid of the old one. I wish I never thought about it... anxious about it all now just wish it could all be done overnight. Lol

We used a carpet cleaner the other week & it brought our carpets up like new. Unfortunately daughter got blue glitter glue all over the stairs since. :( haha

Aww bless her haha. Which carpet cleaner did you use? I've always used rug doctor but there's so many out there now! I would just hire one but not an option here so will have to purchase instead

We were too lazy to do it ourselves so we got someone in to do the house from top to bottom (3 bedrooms, lounge, dining room, hall and landing) best £60 I've ever spent!

It was a rug doctor. Morrisons hire them out here, and B&Q. Mind you, I wouldn't mind owning one! Lol

To clean? I would be embarrassed to let anyone in, I'd be cleaning too to bottom before they arrived which would defeat the point.

No sorry I meant to shampoo and clean the carpets, they did an amazing job!

Is anyone else hot? It's 20 degrees in our house, haven't had the heating on at all, but I am absolutely roasting and it's making me so irritable!

I've been thinking for the last few days about bottles. Obviously we can't plan for labour but when are meant to sterilise bottles from? How long do they last once they've been done? While packing my bag yesterday I was thinking about how it would work as we're taking the little blue Aptamil as a backup just incase baby doesn't take to breastfeeding and wouldn't want them to go hungry! I know now would be too soon it just got me thinking xx

good question. I haven't even bought any bottles so I hope he likes breastfeeding lol. I do believe they have bottles on post natal though x

I've bought a box of the ready made Cow&Gate that comes with teats you screw on (same as they have in hospital) just in case.

I've washed all the bottles but I'll sterilise them if and when I need them, when we get home. I plan to breast feed but I struggled with my daughter so want to be prepared.

Once sterilised, I think they remain sterile for 24 hours.

It's been warm here due to this storm. A real warm wind. But I myself haven't been warmer than usual. I mostly a cold person lol

If you're bottle feeding they give you ready milk with the sterilised teats (you can buy for around £6-£8 I've bought some to take to hospital as someone told me her midwifes said she should have taken her own if she didn't plan on breastfeeding :| but my SIL had her LO last month & said the midwife gave her loads of these bottles & as she was discharged later in the day she gave her some to take home so she didn't have to spend the evening sterilising bottles. Bottles last 12 - 24 hours sealed I think, so not much point sterilising them at this point.

Just a question on why you chose Aptamil? I used this for a few weeks with my daughter & we switched to Cow & Gate as I looked and they were both exactly the same, even made by the same company but c&g was cheaper. Maybe only a couple of pounds per box but it soon adds up. X

I had a dream last night, I gave birth to my baby & it was a girl. We're under the impression from US it's a boy.

I was so upset, I came home and all the blue clothes and teddies and blankets & balloons broke my heart. It's really unsettled me now, I'll admit I'm over the moon it's a boy as I have my daughter so a son would be great. Now I'm terrified baby is gonna come out a girl & I'm gonna feel like that.

First time I've dreamt about the baby in a long long time. It's really unsettled me. Surely if the US said it's a boy, it's a boy? X

Just caught up here, internet was scarce during the storm yesterday. I’m on the west coast of Anglesey, so we got it quite bad! Wind was super warm, but blew a big tree down in the garden and battered the fences quite bad. So cold here today.

Woke up at 4am again craving pastry

Have an appointment with a consultant tomorrow because I’ve been into the MOAU three times with decreaced movements. But the last time I went in was almost a month ago and movements have been fine since, so not too sure what they’ll say?
