November Mummies! <3

I've got an emergency hospital bag in my car already (last time I was kept in overnight I didn't have anything at all and my poor dad was rushing around looking for my knickers and wash stiff!!) it's just got the essentials in. I'm going to do my proper bag soon though. Last time I took a small ish hold-all for me, and a changing bag for the baby.

I don't see my midwife for another 2 weeks, I'll be 34 weeks.

On my next visit to midwife I'll be taking an overnight bag as my blood pressure spiked around this time with my first & I was in & out of hospital.

I'm getting pains in my back & tightenings. :/ I've just walked home from work so thinking it could be just that. X

Hey ladies. Birthing balls....can I just use a normal exercise ball?! Does it need to be a certain size?! Saw midwife today and she has suggested to get one as baby is lying transverse and along with a ball and walking sideways up/downstairs it might prompt her to move out of her comfy position. I know I still have plenty of weeks.left but to me I want to get her head down and in right direction lol

I just had an exercise ball from Argos last time, I think it was a bit small though!

I use a normal exercise ball, it's the only thing I can sit on comfortably without getting back pain after 5 mins!

Would I have much benefit from a birthing ball do you think ladies? I mean yet at least at 31 weeks as baby's head is down already. So am I right in thinking it'll just make me a little comfier at times? Not sure whether to get one now or hold off a little longer xx

i got a really good birthing ball for about a tenner on amazon. its huge its Proiron brand xx

The only time I used the ball was in labour in the hospital to try and speed up labour for about an hour before they gave me the drip. It was more comfy than sitting on the bed I remember.

We've got our pram sorted so that's one less thing to worry about.

Went to pick my LO up from nursery today and she wasn't there, they'd taken her into pre school as they said she's more than ready. She looked so little and stood out as she didn't have a uniform on bless her. Proud mummy moment. She's not 3 until the end of the month & wasn't due to start until January. :D xx

Hmm I kinda want one for the novelty of it on the basis that I was expecting to need it later on haha. Maybe I'll hold off then!

Sounds great for your little girl Starchild! My niece is very clever for her age so must be a similar thing, it's a great feeling. What pram did you go for? You glad to have it sorted? Xx

Instead of selling our silver cross & buying a new one, I've decided to keep it & replace the hood & apron with a different colour. Saving around £500-£600 & a lot of stress.

Filled out the maternity application yesterday so that's another stress off my mind.

MIL gave me all the baby things she's been buying over the months last night. There's so much cuteness, knitted blue cardigans & blankets.

Starting to really believe we've a baby coming in less than 7 weeks.

Hope everyone has a nice day, I start work at 6am... not long until maternity leave... lol xx

That's a good idea! Much more purse friendly too!

I still have around 6/7 weeks before Maternity  xx

Oh bless you. I've only got 6 weeks 4 days till baby is due, rather terrifying.

Baby is always up under my ribs and it's so painful sitting at my desk, and yet the hours I have to spend on my feet at work I get pains/tightenings. So I can't win. cx

Baby is due 2 months today. I will officially start my maternity leave the day after your due date haha.

As soon as I got into work this morning I felt really weird. Not feeling ill or anything, just a really weird feeling that I couldn't describe. Then although I didn't feel emotional so to say, i knew I would easily be able to cry. Really unusual! So I stayed for half of my shift and I've come home (work was quiet and they didn't need me anyway) and gunna have a nap before hubs comes home. We've got our second antenatal class tonight. We really enjoyed it last week so I'm quite looking forward to that tonight. Xx

I sometimes get what feels like a vibration under my right boob on a night, could that be baby under my ribs or just something totally (and randomly) different? Not really too sure but it's not painful or anything. Xx

Our hormones are crazy so that's understandable. I'm really short tempered atm, and then feel guilty if I snap at my daughter or OH or the dog. I'm also cracking up I pressed the window down button to turn the volume down in the car earlier... and I've tried putting the kettle into the fridge.

Does it definitely feel like inside and not a muscle thing? I get what I would describe as a tremor but it's the baby, as if he's shuddering. I think it's normal, my daughter used to do it & I would freak out thinking she was having a fit or something. Lol!

We've never been to classes, hoping this time everything will come flooding back but atm I can't seem to remember anything about birth and newborns.

I've decided to take the full 9 month maternity seeing as my holidays have been declined that I put in for MY WEDDING  xx

I think my baby has gone transverse again, so uncomfortable under my boobs and the bottom of my bump feels empty lol.

I'm also very grumpy and snappy, mainly with my OH though!

Sorry to jump on your thread ladies, I was just wondering if anyone knew how clover was? I used to speak to her regularly but haven't really seen many updates from her xx

We haven't heard from Clover in a while. Last I heard she'd been super busy & her daughter had announced she was pregnant. So hopefully it's just been all go & she's been too busy to pop in and we'll hear from her soon. X

I've finally started washing and sorting the baby clothes - so cute and tiny! What sizes are you packing in your bag for baby? I have loads of up to 10lbs, quite a few up to 9lbs and a couple of up to 7lbs 8oz (which my daughter was at birth).

I'm packing tiny baby, and first size. My daughter was 7lb 2 and fit nice into Next first size. ASDA first size were a wee bit big.

I packed 0-3 with my daughter and they were hanging off her.

I'm at the midwife on Wednesday & hoping to get a rough estimate of baby's size before I pack. Hoping to pack before our weekend away & take the bag with us just in case. X
