November Mummies! <3

Yes definitely call if he's still not moving as much as normal.

I agree, call if movements are different and less than usual. Baby will probably start kicking like crazy when you see a midwife, but it's better to be sure!

Starchild go and get checked lovely, especially with the tightenings etc you've had recently. Movements shouldn't reduce hun xx

I had some fizzy pop last night just 'cause I've been craving it, and he started kicking off, and the got hiccups for what seemed like a ridiculously long time?

He's been quiet again this morning so far, he usually goes nuts after food so some ice cold water & porridge for breakfast & I'll see how he is. Got a few wriggles writing this actually. I'm taking my daughter to school & hoping to call in and see the midwife but my fridge is being delivered this morning, too. OH is home from work at lunchtime so I guess if he's still as quiet I'll go then.

I worry too much but OH is so laid back with the view "if he's moving he must be okay" and I can't seem to make him understand that's not the case. X

I find talking to bump gets him moving, and rubbing the sides of my tummy at the same time gently gets him wiggly

Sorry just butting in your thread as saw this on unread posts. Definitely go in! I was induced in the end because of her movements (15 episodes reduced movement)and they said they would rather see you 100 times and reassure you than give bad news. I'm sure all will be fine but I would definitely get seen as soon as you can. You will feel a lot more relaxed too to know baby is ok after monitoring :) xx

And your DH is wrong defo!! Movements mean they are alive yeah but reduced movement can mean something is wrong and the only time something can be done is when they are alive. If people waited till movement had stopped it could be too late. Sorry I don't mean to scare you or anything but maybe if you phrase it like that to him he will be more understanding?
My daughter had multiple silent days where she didn't just have reduced movement but her movement had totally stopped for 12 hours or so. But she is totally fine and nearly 9 months :). He is probably having a lazy day or moved slightly but always better being seen :) xc

I have the same problem with my OH Starchild, he thinks I'm overly dramatic about everything - there is definitely a lot more insistence now from the midwives I've seen to keep an eye on movements than there was when I had my others. I've found it's made me a bit paranoid but I would still go in lovely. One midwife explained it to me as when we're ill, we slow down and rest as we don't have much energy and it's the same with baby. You know his movements better than anyone else xx

I am actually over dramatic which is why I think he's a bit like "here we go again" :/

I went in with my daughter and felt like the midwives thought I was wasting their time. He's moving now & in about to have lunch so if I'm still worrying I'll call the midwife afterwards and go & get monitored. Also noticed I haven't stopped the last two days so perhaps he has been sleeping more with all my walking etc.

OH says exactly that millielaura 'a lazy day' hopefully that's all it has been. X

I'm feeling like a rubbish parent today - my daughter was up 3 times in the night (no idea why) and started the day at 5.45am (usually 7.40/8am) I'm exhausted anyway, so now I'm even more exhausted, on the edge of just bursting into tears and I've no patience with my daughter whatsoever. And because she's tired, she's being extra naughty! Hoping we can both have a nap!

Hope you get your nap!

I'm going to get the last bits for my hospital bag today, breast pads, maternity bra & SNACKS!

Totally craving cheese puffs/wotsits ATM, but what do people mean when they say pack some snacks? I never with my daughter.. but I barely ate with her. This time I'm definitely eating for 2! X

I'm probably gonna pack some kind of nuts, like wasabi nuts chilli nuts etc and crisps lol oh and Oreos

I've packed some jammie dodgers because I know OH doesn't like them. He can get his own snacks instead of stealing mine.

I've packed some sweets, cereal bars and some cheese straws. I stayed in for 4 days last time and the hospital food was grim so it was nice to have my favourite things to hand.

That's a great idea Cati.

I got lots of Wotsits, a mix bag of lollipops/sweets, gonna take some chocolate bars too. I've told OH I want a bottle of Baileys brought to the hospital 'cause I've fancied one since last Christmas

I finally got a pram suit, it's white with a cloud pattern sewn on, really cute! And a navy woollen hat which is super cute. I've unpacked and repacked the changing bag, which I'll probably do every day now

I'm feeling super excited about it all now. Baby's been moving around all afternoon so I'm feeling loads better. And for the first time in 37 weeks OH has actually gone to bed before me... I can't settle today, I've washed the floors & tidied up all the toys. Think nesting is in full swing! Lol x

I have my growth scan today followed by 36 week midwife appointment!

Good luck, :)

I'm not there until next week I'll be almost 39 weeks which is rather terrifying. X

Glad baby's moving plenty Starchild :)

Good luck Mayflower, hope it goes well!

I've got a consultant appointment next week as I've has a few bouts of reduced movements, and the next day I have my 36 week appointment.

When is the next routine appointment after the 36 week one normally?
