November mummies 2017!!! Tri two.

Starchild, you will need to see your doc and ask to be check for immunity to parvo virus (slapped cheek). It's moat likely you are immune, but they do advise you get checked. Xx

Ah! Yeah I just remember her saying chicken pox is fine to be around but slapped cheek isn't. X

Been bit absent this week. How is everyone doing?! Got my midwife appt on Tuesday. Fingers crossed get tobhear the hb

My little voy has just had slapped cheek - do i need to be checked? Xxx

Thread hopping re slapped cheek. I was told by my Gp it's only a risk if you're in your first trimester as it can cause miscarriage. I was 9 weeks with my daughter when I came into contact with it so had to go for a blood test. The results showed I had immunity so all was fine.

Ladies - don't know if it's different across the country but roughly how long does the 16 week midwife app take? Xx

Grrr its proving difficult to find a decent doctor here. I really miss UK and midwife led care. Here they are so keen to medicalise and manage things. Urgh. With my last one i had a homebirth but its not possible here so I will have to go to the hospital. They told me that I have to go to A&E first to get triaged (it have an examination) which i dont want.

I was there about 20 mins - she checked my blood results on the computer, did my blood pressure, checked my urine, listened to baby's heartbeat and that was that.

Depends?

With DS, I had a few questions about something. It took my full lunch hour.

With DD, in and out. Blood pressure and urine check, then listened to baby. Maybe 20 minutes?

This go - my weekly visits are 20 minutes or so. My monthly appointments include an ultrasound so an hour easy. Joy of twins in the US. I'm already being encouraged towards a c-section despite having two relatively easy births before. I'm getting very tempted to labor for as long as possible at home if we make it to 39 weeks.

Thats so exciting Rachel!
I was starting to worry, I felt movements last week for about two days and then nothing for a whole week... Maybe I just wasn't paying attention, but my goodness did little one get my attention this weekend! It was the strongest its been!

Got to hear the heartbeat today! 160bpm :)
So exciting!

How are we this morning ladies? I've definitely got a visible bump now, but not feeling much in theory of movement, can't wait to feel baby properly.
