*** November 2014 Mummies! ***

Just finished the night shift, get home and guess what I find in bed OH snoring like a trooper, two cats asleep and no room for me! Currently laying on the sofa to try and sleep and got two cats laying on me lol! Life's never dull in this house :) xx

Haha great minds huh Katie :)

Well there u go chickadee we can move into tri 3 sooner than we thought :)

Oh dear I'd have shoved the bloody cats on the floor!! Xx

Hello ladies...

Just returned from a lovely weeks holiday in the lake district... Had such a nice time and feel so much more positive about everything....

Just caught up on watching a weeks worth of big brother...anyone else watch...im shocked about winston leaving.

We stopped in bristol on way home to see my folks and went to kiddicare sale... Didnt buy loads but definately worth a visit.. Best thing we got was a fisher price rocker we had already decided we wanted and got it for £35 rather than £50 ...every penny counts. :-)

Hope everyone is well?

Hope you enjoyed your holiday Applecrumble! And great news on the savings you made! I love baby bargains! :D

Hey Apple!! Glad u had a lovely time. That's great to hear that you're feeling more positive hun :)

Sounds a bargain! We were going to get the baby monitor from there but those Motorola ones look a bit ugly and I can be awkward like that haha!

Xxx

Hi! I did go on holiday, I didn't mean to do a disappearing act but the internet connections were dreadful so didn't manage to get online much. Had a nice week, weather held out mostly but it was a bit boring watching my wife and her sister getting drunk, haha! Even the older teens were having alcohol, it was so unfair. I subsituted with lots of sweets, cake and ice cream. It was kind of nice to break the routine of endlessly online (mostly window) baby shopping, which I'd fallen into the habit of.

Wife and eldest stepdaughter are sorting out baby's room today. I've been banished downstairs because they are stripping old paint off the walls and they don't want me getting the fumes. No colours decided upon yet though, they are just prepping and putting the base coat down.

Apple, glad you had a nice time away too.

Chick, I'd have shoved the cats off! I love my dog to pieces but if she hogs my bed to the point of me not being able to lie down, we have words.

Never know quite when to move into tri three, but I don't really want to! I'm really enjoying the pregnancy now and I'm kind of sad to watch the weeks ticking by. I like feeling her in me and know I'll miss that when she's out.

Hope you had a lovely holiday NJP! It's been very quiet over here without you. :-)

How many weeks is everyone now? I can't see tickers on my phone!

Thanks Katie, it was nice to get away but is nice to be back in my own bed now.

I'm 26 weeks today, which means Mellie is too.

Yesss I am 26 weeks too. Said to OH earlier, that in 4 days time it'll be exactly 3 months until my due date. Which sounds really close and scary!

We've practically finished our nursery now, just waiting for a few bits and pieces to arrive. Plus I need to make the new cover for the foot stool for the nursing chair. 0-3 clothes are all washed, waiting for the last batch to dry before I can put them away. Things are starting to get so real now!!

Hope you had a lovely holiday NJP.

Nothing better than your own bed! I always struggle to fall asleep when we go away! Happy 26 weeks!!

The bed was a bit small because we're used with the kingsize! So it was nice to stretch out last night.

Mellie, the 3 months thing is scary - it only seems like yesterday that I was dying to get to the 3 month mark in my pregnancy. They say the third tri flies by, I hope not, I want to savour it. I don't think I'll have another child so this is my one pregnancy.

Sister in law is cooking a roast. She does lovely roasts but I really don't fancy it. I have developed a big sweet tooth, for naughty things but also good things like fruit and yoghurt and would be much happier with a small, light salad then loads of sweet stuff. I am still eating like a horse but fortunately it isn't showing much on the scales.

Hey I'd forgotten u were going away til Mellie mentioned it I blame baby brain! Haha.
So glad to hear u had a lovely time but yeh it does suck watching others drinking and being drunk!

I'm enjoying the movements I do get but I'm kinda wishing some more time away as I look forward to feeling more movements (stupid anterior placenta ruining my bonding)

I been wanting more fruit and veg and salads lately but I've just eaten loads of pasta and now I feel so full and really sick :-/ over faced again!
Xx

Turns out I miscalculated my weight gain when converting from kg to lbs and I am slightly over target. Oops. Discovered that while shovelling in blocks of chocolate.

I keep making myself feel full and sick too, because my appetite is bigger than the space the baby has left for food to fit into. So I either eat small portions and feel hungry constantly or I eat to feel full then feel uncomfortably bloated.

Hope your movements pick up soon!

you are all so lucky, I am hungry but every time I eat I am in so much pain that I can do nothing for 20 /30 mins.
Had this for three weeks now, living on complan is no fun

I been getting bad aches after eating like I'm really bloated like ridiculously so and I've put it down to constipation due to iron tablets it's like I eat and my body literally thinks crap no where for this to go it's soooo bloody uncomfortable!

Been naughty and not taken a single iron tablet today coz I've had enough it, still was sore and still is sore now but I've just managed to successfully go to the the toilet and hoping after a couple more days I will feel better haha.
Just need to eat loads of spinach like pop eye.

Anyone watching in the club on BBC 1 at 9 tonight? Xx

I'm hoping the next 7 weeks fly by, only because I want maternity leave to hurry up! Then once I finish work time can go a little slower, as I'll have to make sure I'm prepared for baby and Christmas.

Wanting sweet things is meant to be what happens when you're carrying a girl. I just want all the food, sweet or savory. Although I did uncover my stash of easter eggs the other day.....OH brought me LOADS as normally I devour them, but because it was just after I found out I didn't want to eat too muxh chocolate because of the caffeine and I felt socl 24/7. Most of them are now oit of date.....although I'm hoping they're still ok to eat. Wonder if I'd been carrying a girl would they all have been eaten already! Haha

I'm well over my weight gain, I'm trying not to think about it too much, dont want to stress myself oit.

I spent half of in the club studying the dogs paws, he keeps chewing them. Then once it had finished we had to give him a little soak in the bath. I can't help put think children will be easier than animals sometimes. At least a child can tell us what's the matter. Plus if a child leaves their toys everywhere (which the dog always does) you can get the child to tidy them all away. If we tell Rocky to "go and get his toy" he just thinks we're going to play with him!

Mellie I've found I'm eating more sweet things with a boy and when I had myah I couldn't touch anything sweet! A whole 9 months without chocolate was terrible! And animals are much easier than children! Especially once they hit 2! Myah's going through a lovely stage of hitting me and not listening when I ask her to tidy up or pick something up for me! Just hope it stops before baby arrives! :-(

Does anybody know any other painkillers that I can have in pregnancy? Paracetamol isn't doing much for my toothache and it's pointless to go to the dentist :-(

Katiee... sorry about the toothache... its horrible at the best of times, let alone without medication. I actually would still go to the dentist, they may be able to help. xxxx

I am ok food wise.. dont think i am over eating and dont feel like im craving anything particular.. do feel guilty about drinking diet coke... (I dont have any other caffine so its my only vice and apparently I can have 3 cans a day!) that seems alot of coke even when not pregnant!

It is a real pain! When I last went they told me I have all 4 wisdom teeth ready to break through.. 2 have broken through and been fine since but all they can do is refer me to have them removed if they are rotting which they aren't and it will take months! So far paracetamol and tiger balm is easing it slightly.. Just got to hope that it clears off soon!

And I'm the same with cravings! With my daughter I craved orange lucozade from the beginning right up until she was born but nothing's stuck this time Xx
