*** November 2014 Mummies! ***

Mellie I feel ur pain with the hay fever I'm really suffering but got nothing to take as it's advised against tablets!! :-/
I feel so heavy and lethargic lately it's due to being overweight and pregnant and this heat I'm sure but urgh I feel dreadful. Then can't breathe either. Getting a bit narked now. Why can't I have a lovely easy enjoyable pregnancy grrr haha xx

Morning All.

I was awake at 3-30-5am this morning because of workers in the neighbouring building. What i think im more upset about is now they can legally work its quiet! So tired now!

Sorry you girls are sufferring from hay fever..its horiible. I usually suffer but this season i am showing no signs or symptoms,

Definately felt my baby for the first time last night. It was like a moving bubble or butterflies , hard to explain. But was a definate sensation below my belly button.

Apple: I was awake around the same time, but with a sick daughter. Also felt the same when first felt this baby move too. Partner not felt anything yet.

I have the midwife this afternoon at 2pm instead of Monday, as just got call to say there has been a cancellation. Oh and I may even get another scan too. So happy as I get to see baby again!!

Away out to lunch with partner, then drop off daughter at my parents and then off to midwife.

Oh jasmine, I have midwife today at 2pm too...snap ;-)

fingers crossed you get an extra scan... possible gender siting. I am just hoping to listern to a heartbeat!

Hi girls back from the midwife appointment. all good and heard heart beat which is exciting. 140 beats per minute, not very conclusive re gender!

Aww that's lovely Applecrumble! with my little girl her heartbeat was 144 & this time my little boys is around 140-150 so I'm not sure the gender heartbeat test works! I did believe in it at first until this pregnancy!

Can't believe i turn 20 weeks tomorrow! & also get to see our little boy again :-) 7 more weeks and I'm off to tri 3! Think I want to do the November thread for tri 3 as it will keep me busy! That's if nobody else wants to! It's suddenly starting to become real and Im worrying about labour already!

Back from the midwife and had a scan.

Everything is going well. I'm measuring 18.5cm, but this is due to a small amount of extra fluid, which should get absorbed again. The midwife is very happy though.

And we have a right wriggler on the way, as baby wouldn't keep still for the scan.... flipping over and doing all sorts of gymnastics... show off!

We also got to hear the hearbeat too - so fast like a train! We're not wanting to know the gender as want a surprise.

Next scan on 3 July at 20 weeks... can't wait!!

The heartbeat at my 16 week appointment was 165.....then we found out the day after that we were having a boy. None of the theories worked for me!
Got a little card and present from the bump to my OH ready for Sunday :)
Tri 3 still seems ages away to me, it needs to hurry up. The past few weeks have gone so slowly.

Kaa, google hayfever in pregnancy, I did before because I don't know if I have a cold or hayfever and there are some things you can use, some of the nasal sprays. And possibly something called Beconase?

Jasmine, lucky you getting another scan! I can't wait for my next one!

Applecrumble, congratulations on first movements, it is so cool to feel them, isn't it?

So as I said above, I have either a cold or hayfever. I've definitely got a cough, so hoping it's a cold as at least that will pass, unlike hayfever. Managed to last the day at work, though I was really tempted to come home, just wasn't sure how to pass my illness off as pregnancy-related.

I used to have beconase pre pregnancy but now the doctor won't prescribe it, going back on Monday to moan at them though :)
Its worth going the doctors with hay fever though, they'll prescribe you something and obviously it'll be free as you're pregnant.

13th November... can't come quick enough... so excited to meet my little one 😊💖

Eeee can't wait to see my little man today! Hope 2.10pm comes around quick! :D

Morning..

Aww good luck Katie.. its so nice to see your baby at the scan...

Well today is the first time I have felt "pregnant" if you know what I mean? The top of my legs, arms and all over bump feel achey. Also think I am getting a couple of Braxton hicks, as a few mild twinges at front of bump, but could just be muscles stretching out. Quite a lot of movement felt overnight, but partner missed out as he was sound asleep.

Oh, just noticed my signature and I'm 18 weeks today? How did I get here so quick?

And our daughter came through to us this morning, as she said she couldn't wait to give the baby a cuddle! Just know she will be a good big sister.

Thank you! Just hope the day goes well! Hubby can't come so I was going to take a friend with me - my friend messaged this morning to say she's caught a bug and doesn't want me to catch it so I'm going on my own. As you all know my mil is a pain in the arse and she's gonna drop me at the hospital but hubby is mithering me to let her come with.. She's already been to a scan in this pregnancy when we said she wasn't supposed to - hubby got his own way and this time my dad is supposed to be more involved as she was so involved with my daughter.

Hoping she doesn't mither me as when I asked her to take me a few week ago straight away she's asking "oh do I get to come in and see my grandson"!

Hi girls. Jasmine I missed your post yesterdayglad midwife went well. Your so strong resisting temptation to see gender! i am so impressed with the yellow team members.

Katie... I persoannly think as there is no one else available, why not let her go in.. win some brownie points so you can at a later date say... well you did get to do this ....so its only fair that my dad should do this.... etc. It's seems an easy win that would make someones day at nop compromise to anyone else. That is unless she would ruin the experience for you? tricky I know... but persoannly I would play the long game.

Anyway enjoy today regardless and fx it all goes well.

Unfortunately that won't work.. We said we wanted to take my dad and only my dad to the gender scan and suddenly she came.. And all she did was make it about her "I'm having a grandson - I'm gonna buy him clothes that says nanas boy" i honestly didn't stop hearing it for days and didn't really get to see my dad's reaction until she had gone home. Anything I seem to tell her she ignores.. I asked her not to buy anything babywise yet as we have enough for him tbh if rather she helped with pram or cot etc to save a stress of having loads of clothes that he won't wear - with him being due in October I can't really buy summer stuff so she then comes out with "oh I can't wait to buy him some personalised bits next month" does anything I say just get ignored? I made a list of house rules to get my daughter in a routine for when baby arrives.. Were now on week 3 of the rules and she just ignores them :-( it's silly things but it pisses me off! I feel like I'm fighting a battle and losing! Hubby has to repeat exactly what I say so that she will listen.

Id rather just go on my own so that when I come out of the scan with a photo I can show hubby first instead of her rubbing by saying oh baby did this etc.. and making hubby feel bad!

Back from scan! Baby boy is okay.. A little worried though as it says on my notes maternal bleed and I've had no bleed :-/ got to go back at 23 weeks to check his heart as she couldn't get a photo and then 34 weeks for a growth scan! Xx

I hate it when they write things down but don't actually tell you about it.
At least you get to see baby again soon though to double check it all :)

Nice pic Katie, did you let her in with you in the end?

I feel so poorly today. I hardly had any sleep at all but I went to work because there were exams on and I knew they were relying on me as they were short staffed. So I went and coughed and snivelled all over some exam candidates, bet they loved me. I lasted out the rest of the day but had a 3 hour nap when I came home.

Well she said everything is well but she couldnt get a photo of his heart - i had the same problem with my daughter.. she showed me all his kidneys etc and even got to see his face properly which i thought was good for a 2D scan! but then when i checked my notes it says high bmi due to maternal bleed, but go back for scan for heart at 23 weeks and then 34 weeks for kidneys.. but no kidneys was mentioned at first?

after the scan she did just say go and take a seat, ill write a report and you can go home. I was sat there for another 30 mins to then find out she's given them to the main desk.. So I went there got my notes but there was no photo and then had to go to the other desk near the paying machine to then get my photo.. Then I found out they only wrote 1 scan date in so had to go back another desk to book that!

Yeah decided to let her come in as its been really hot today and not fair to make her sit in the car for an hour! - thankfully she was quiet at the scan but then when i went to hubby's work to explain the extra scans and show him the photo she wouldnt let me get a word in and said it all herself!

Extremely tired after today but glad hes okay :)
